About: I’ve had a dog in our lives for the past 12 years who passed away a couple months ago. We rescued 3 kittens in 2021. Jack is our oldest cat and he is quite a character. Luz is our middle cat and she is the sweetest little thing to look at/she loves to talk. Baby is our not so little baby and is such a friendly loving cat. I’m currently working 80% remote from home during the week and available on the weekends. Having my cats at home have kept me company and make the day go by faster. My cats have free range of our home and no restrictions. They have their favorite spots to nap during the day which is our bathroom, under my teenagers beds and on my bed while I work. We have snack and play time but mostly love to lounge during the day. We’re looking to add some additional character in our environment. Our home will be your pets second home.

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I am currently working full time so my time currently is limited. I am available Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays. All day Saturdays and Sundays Be patient and calm with pets that are withdrawn or scared. Pets are sensitive to change and may be missing their people; maintain their schedule as much as possible. When the pet is feeling comfortable, send pictures to the client, letting them know you're giving them extra attention.

About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: I treat every pup like my own. If your dog isn't napping or resting, we'll be active and engaged. That may include playing with their favorite toy, going on a walk, or getting plenty of belly rubs and pats. I believe dogs thrive on love, attention, and activity. Therefore, I make sure they're never bored or lonely. Currently away at bootcamp! I'm currently a student at UIC with one class online and one class in person. My schedule is very flexible, which allows me plenty time for walks, drop-ins and overnight care. Your dogs safety and comfort are my top priorities. On walks, I let your pep lead the way so they can explore at their own pace. I love finding nearby parks where they can burn energy. It I'm caring for a pet in your home, I'll always follow your instructions closely to maintain their normal routine.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 10 years now. I’ve taken care of many dogs from my moms clients dogs, my family dogs, my sisters dog and her friends dogs. This is something that I enjoy doing and I will make sure that I give the care that your dog deserves. To keep them entertained and engage with them. I’m currently working part time. So I have plenty of time on my hands and my schedule is very flexible! I also have a car so I haven’t problem commuting. I have a big fenced yard to keep your fur ball safe and a lot of room for them to run around. I’m very detail oriented so I’ll follow any schedule you give me and keep their dietary needs in mind.

About: Ever since I was a kid, I’ve just really cherished being around animals, even the ones who aren’t super cuddly. I have a lot of patience and respect for each pet’s personality and comfort level, and I do my best to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for while their people are away. I work full time during the week and try to stay busy on the weekend, but I will absolutely work my weekend schedule around you/your pet’s needs. I have a big fenced backyard and plenty of space inside for house-trained pets to relax, whether that’s on the couch, a comfy chair, or the floor. I share my home with one dog, a terrier mix named Minnie. She’s playful and friendly, but if your dog prefers to keep to themselves, I can easily keep them separated. Older dogs sometimes find her a bit too energetic, while younger pups usually have a great time playing with her.

About: I have always lived with dogs and love pet sitting for others! I aspire to be a veterinarian in the future because of my passion for animals. I interned at a vet clinic this past summer and gained valuable knowledge about pets and how to care for them. I have a very flexible schedule since I am currently home from college for the summer. I am available most days with a notice in advance. I have a fenced in yard and one dog at home. I will be able to walk and play with your dogs, as well as feed them if needed.

About: I have had dogs many years. We have had different kinds of dogs, such as Rottweiler/German Shepard mix, medium and small. Sat for senior dogs needing a little extra help with ambulation and medication. We have two energetic -boys to play with and take for walks around the dog friendly neighborhood. We have one healthy 17 year old Dachshund in home now that we adopted, who has been with us for over 12 years, who warm ups with guest dogs pretty quickly. About: When I use to live in Argentina I use to rescue dogs and nurse them back to health and take care of them and sometimes raise them. That’s when I realized my love for them. One day I’ll be pursuing a veterinarian license. I’m a stay at home wife so I have plenty of free time to take care of your angel. I love dogs and can’t wait to care for yours. I’m very active and I love to go to parks or on walks. I live in an apartment but right across the street is a park and I love to go there.

About: I have plenty of experience with both dogs and cats. I have been working in a dog/cat boarding and daycare facility for a little over a year now. At work, we are responsible for providing individual care for each animal staying with us; we are in charge of providing them with playtime, feeding them, giving meds, and more. Personally, I have had two cats going on about 15 years now, and I have had two dogs (a lab mix and a pit mix) for about five years. I also have the experience of being a dog walker volunteer at a humane society! Right now, I am on summer break and home from school, and I am currently only working a part-time job. On days I do work at my part-time job, I’m usually working from 8-230pm 3-4 days a week, so I will usually be available outside of that time period on my working days. On non-working days, I typically have open availability. Since I am around animals pretty much 24/7, caring for them is part of my usual routine, making me very passionate and comfortable around animals. Unfortunately, one of my dogs is reactive and doesn't take well to new doggy friends, so care at my house would not be possible. However, in terms of staying in the owner's home, I would bring over some toys and other things dogs love, like treats, and I could even bring a splash pad for those who like water! I would make sure the dog is my number one priority and be on top of what their daily needs are. For cats, plenty of catnip and fun will be involved!

About: I’ve had all different types of pets my whole life and have been caring for, and watching family’s and friends, pets as well. Pets include birds, cats, dogs, lizards, and other smaller fur babies. I’m currently unemployed, but will be in school soon. I play with my pets all throughout the day. Right now my schedule is very open to play/watch your fur babies. Play with them, take them on walks, and making sure they are actually eating and drinking healthy amounts. I’ve had much experience with animals needing medication as well.
