“Desiree is so great! I felt super relaxed on my trip knowing she was checking on my cats. My cats really seemed to feel comfortable with her too, even my really nervous cat! Absolutely recommend, and will rebook in the future :)”

About: I have had pets my entire life. We had mostly cats at home but did have a lab mix for a while. I walked my neighbor's dogs as a kid and always wanted my own dog. I love walking dogs! I have great time getting to know your pup and I enjoy seeing them sniff up a familiar spot. I also offer drop-ins and sitting at your house. I work a flexible schedule that only has planned days of work which may be up to full-time. I know when I am available and always have it prearranged. I will ensure your pet is secure and your doors are locked. At your direction I can ensure your pet has enough food and water.
About: I have always had a deep love for pets. My family has taken in many different types of pets when it comes to foster care, adoption, or long term care. In high school, I was a dog washer for a local groomer and in college, I was a foster mom to three amazing cats. I’m always respectful of your pets boundaries and would treat them as I would my own. I currently have two boy cats that I love with all of my heart. I have joined Rover to play and meet with great, local pets I work PM shift at a local hospital so I am free every morning! Also, I am off most weekends and have the flexibility to do drop-ins more frequent. I have two fur babies myself (cats) that I take pride in giving them the best care they deserve. I scoop their litter box daily and give them fresh water. I also like to bring out their toys for daily play.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. I am a school psychologist and very in tune with animals and people and have a passion for taking care of others, especially dogs. I believe dogs truly make a house a home. I am off for the summer so have all day to take care of your pet. I enjoy walking and playing with dogs and would love to spend my summer with your fur baby. I have a fenced in yard. I have three teenage pet lovers who will also shower your dog with attention. I enjoy walking your dog if that is something your pet likes to do. I have a safe neighborhood with trails nearby. I will always be interested in your pet's personality. For example how they get along with other dogs and humans and I will always have their best interest in mind. I work full time but am off during the summer so I have plenty of time to play with your dog. During the school year I am not home from 7:30- 3:30 Monday - Friday. Howeyour family loves weekend visitors. I have a fenced in yard so your dog can play outside. I would like them to bring their own bed or crate so they feel secure at night.
“Bob does a great job taking care of our puppy while we’re at work! He makes sure our puppy gets lots of playtime and attention! Even on a snowy day, Bob made sure she got plenty of outside time 😊”

About: I have cared for dogs since the age of 9. I have two dogs, a dachshund/ rat terrier mix and a pit bull. I have loved and cared for them almost my whole life, from learning their quirks to taking care of their medical needs. One of my dogs had a litter of 9 puppies that I helped give birth to. They are my family and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am working a full time job. I work from 5am-1:30pm five days a week with two days off throughout the week. Anytime after 2pm would be fine. I always approach a new fur baby with patience to let them get to know me and realize I’m there to help. I make sure to get familiar with their needs so everything goes well and is as stress free as possible for your pet!
About: Hi.! I have had experience training my first dog, chocolate Labrador when I was a bit younger in potty training, basic commands and fetch. He was a very hyper dog, but we made sure to train him well.! I now have a standard Goldendoodle that weighs just over 80 pounds. His name is Teddy. He is turning 4 in November and is very mild-mannered, completely opposite of the chocolate lab we use to have.! We go on daily walks of at least 2 miles.! I can’t wait to care for your furry pet like I do mine.! I work full-time, but I have flexibility with my schedule. I do not work a 9-5 job so I am able to make my own hours and schedule. I have dog-sitter for friends and family before in their homes so I always make sure to treat their dog like I do mine. I make sure to clean up after them, am aware of mine and their surroundings when on walks and at parks.
About: I have done Dogsitting, mostly for my friends. I'm willing to do overnights at your place if you prefer. I am currently working.. My work schedule changes. I have 2 dogs, Gunny and Cooper. Both are 3 years old. I do not work with aggressive furkids. I can do the medicines if you show me what to do. I'll play, or let your furkids cuddle! I'll take them for walks. Or let them run around in the yard. Basically, I want your furkids to be in a home, not at a kennel being caged for longer period of a time. If I am to stay at your house, my Gunny and Cooper won't be coming with me. He will stay home with his Daddy. If I am staying at your place, I'm also willing to take the time to water your plants as long you provide instructions (when and which plants) and bring in the mails for you. My schedule changes now and then. It may or may not work out. Just know that I am willing to make it work for your furkids. At your house, I will treat your furkids just as my own furkids. I will do my best to keep their routine so they are comfortable.
About: I have always had a natural connection with animals of all personalities. I’ve worked as a volunteer at shelters and taken care of dogs and family dogs since I was 12. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from energetic pups to senior companions needing some extra patience and TLC. I prioritize safety, lots of love, and consistency, treating every pet like my own. Detail-oriented so if there are any specific requirements I’ll be sure to cater to you and your pet’s needs. I’m working remotely M-Thursday, Mondays and Thursdays being a little less crazy than Tuesday & Wednesdays so I usually have more ability to drive or care for the the pet’s needs. I have a fenced in yard and 3 dogs to keep your pups cozy. 1 chihuahua who is just a little lap dog, 2 adoptees that are bother seniors and love dogs.
About: I treat every pup like my own. If your dog isn't napping or resting, we'll be active and engaged. That may include playing with their favorite toy, going on a walk, or getting plenty of belly rubs and pats. I believe dogs thrive on love, attention, and activity. Therefore, I make sure they're never bored or lonely. I'm currently a student at UIC with one class online and one class in person. My schedule is very flexible, which allows me plenty time for walks, drop-ins and overnight care. Your dogs safety and comfort are my top priorities. On walks, I let your pep lead the way so they can explore at their own pace. I love finding nearby parks where they can burn energy. It I'm caring for a pet in your home, I'll always follow your instructions closely to maintain their normal routine.
About: Over the years, I’ve found myself drawn to caring for animals in small but meaningful ways. Whether it’s walking or playing with a family member’s energetic dog or simply offering companionship, I’ve always found fulfillment in their presence. What I may lack in professional dog care experience, I make up for with genuine attentiveness, patience, and affection. I understand how important it is to build trust with pets and their humans, and I’m committed to creating a safe, loving environment for your pets. As someone who’s cared for my aunt’s cats—including administering medication and tuning in to their unique personalities—I bring that same level of thoughtfulness and care to my work with dogs. As someone who works from home full-time, I have a flexible schedule and the freedom to work from just about anywhere—making it easy for me to prioritize your pet’s care. Whether it's a mid-day walk, potty break, or weekend with the owner's out of town, I can be present and attentive to assist you in caring for your pet's needs. Work with my schedule and I can work with your's. When providing services in your home, I will treat your space with the same respect and care I give your pets. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with someone entering your home, and I take that trust seriously. With a patient, compassionate approach, I aim to create a calm and safe environment where your pet can feel relaxed, happy, and well cared for. As well as ensuring that the guidelines you provide are followed.
About: Growing up, I’ve always been a fond of animals and believe they deserve the same love and affection they provide us! Although I have more hands-on experience with cats, I grew up with friends who had dogs of all sizes and commonly walked or reinforced their good behavior. I’m currently working full-time on the weekdays, but I am available in the evenings and weekends to tend to your furry babies with love and comfort :) There is plenty of space to go on walks, run around, and have fun during playtime. Our neighborhood is safe and sound with friendly families and kids!

“Kelera is absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive, detail-oriented, and timely in taking care of my fur babies while I was away. My babies warmed up to her instantly and we certainly won't hesitate to call upon her services again in the future. Kelera is the best!! 👍”

“Lauryn is a gem. She was very responsible and has a great way of expressing herself in the Rover report cards; there's a touch of humor in her reports that makes for delightful reading. She sent cute photos of the cat, even though she had to search for him because he's a very shy hider. She was determined to find him each time and even caught him on a brief video one time that simultaneously melted my heart and made me chuckle; she has a cute personality and one can see clearly she loves animals. There was an emergency when our lock broke (not her fault; it was an old lock) and her communication skills were top-notch plus she kept her cool. We engaged the help of a neighbor who interacted with Lauryn and got our lock replaced. A real fiasco, but Lauryn was willing to come back to our place right after the new lock was installed to take care of our cat and let me know he was okay. Thanks, Lauryn! We would definitely have you back again :)”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ We had a last minute worry about our cat sitting situation so I went on Rover for the first time. We were gone for a few weeks and felt really bad for the cats. We feel so lucky to have found Lisa. She ended up spending more time with our cats than scheduled. She also was able to fix the schedule when we had to make a change. There are other things that helped our peace-of-mind like turning the porch light off each day and bringing the mail in so our home didn't look vacant. She cleaned up before leaving. She left detailed notes and sent cute photos daily of cuddling and playing with our cats :) We will definitely reach out to Lisa for our cat sitting in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs since they were puppies. I work remote so I am flexible with potty times. I have two small and friendly dogs that your dogs can play or cuddle with. I currently work remote so I am able to take out the dogs as much as needed. I am very flexible. My pups are taken out 4x a day in our neighborhood so it’s very easy to play and walk them. I will make sure they are fed on time, play with them and walk them. I will also make sure they are taken out to potty when they need to.
“Matt was great, he stayed in constant contact and sent pictures of every visit while he was watching our dog Rocco. He even brought in packages and cleaned up after Rocco.”

“Tara really helped us out by taking care of Monarch when our normal sitter was unavailable and we had a funeral to attend to. Monarch gets a little anxious and jumpy with new people but Tara didn’t give up on him and eventually won him over. Tara took good care of Monarch.”

Palos Hills dog parents share their Rover experiences
We were very nervous having to leave our pup with someone new. He can get rather nervous around people he doesn’t know. But Desiree was very sweet and patient with our Alfie. She her took time to make him feel comfortable. She gave us very detailed updates on their time together, and even brought in our garbage cans and mail for us! We will definitely have her watch our Alfie again in the future. I highly recommend her.
