About: Ive owned so many variety's of pets from cats and dogs to gerbils, hamsters, mice, and turtles from 8-18 years old. I love animals and will always put their well-being first in any situation. I am currently a student at Fox working towards my Veterinary Technicians License. I speak Spanish and English! I am currently a full time student-but am available between the hours of 5pm-9pm after school hours and available between 6am-8pm on weekends. I know precisely how to read and animals body language and know when something is wrong. An animal can let me know when they feel uncomfortable and I can let the owner know right away. I have handled many shelter animals and pets and can know when something is not right or if they feel uncomfortable.
“I had a great experience with my cat sitter, Robin! She took excellent care of my cat Mochi—changing his litter, making sure he was fed, and even spending time playing with him. Mochi isn’t the most social cat, but I could tell he started to warm up to her, which says a lot. Robin also sent me regular pictures and videos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Katie was amazing! With Peanut recently going blind and our honeymoon coming up, we couldn't board him and needed someone to come and give him his oral meds/insulin injections. She took the time to come by to watch me do his feeding/injections and was able to do the same without any issues! Highly recommend her services!”

About: I have had and been around dogs since I was a child. Dogs seem to come to me naturally; without fear or hesitation. I honestly believe this is because I approach them with ease and am not forceful. It seemed like a natural step for me to join the Rover community. Ive also been a dog owner and currently have Jazzy who is my beloved Boston Terrier Mix with a big personality and sweet nature. Jazzy and I chose each other and its been an adventure ever since day one! she loves everyone but at times can be a little bossy. I'm well aware of who runs the household! I pride myself on ensuring that Jazzy stays healthy by giving her quality food and treats, Along with that she enjoys her fenced in yard and takes daily walks. We have lots of playtime and cuddles. I'll treat your dog as I would my own. That is my motto as I don't want you to worry or be concerned when you are away from your precious fur baby. I can't replace you, or would never try but rest assured your pet will receive all my tender loving care. I have had the opportunity to care for some dogs on Rover who have become regular clients. The owners have told me that they reach out to me first and hope that I am available. That is a huge compliment and I'm honored that I made such an impact on their four legged friend. All the pets I have met have their own unique personality and what I do as a sitter is simply take them for who they are which includes any little quirks. Canine or human, we all possess them. If you like what you see, let's schedule a meet and greet and see if I'm the right fit for your pet and their needs. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and read my profile! I work remotely on a part time basis so can be available in the afternoon/evening and do pet sitting on the weekends away from my home. Well I make sure my dog Jazzy is loved and cared for each and every day. I give her good food and healthy treats. Daily walks and preventive meds to keep her healthy and strong.
About: Hi.! I have had experience training my first dog, chocolate Labrador when I was a bit younger in potty training, basic commands and fetch. He was a very hyper dog, but we made sure to train him well.! I now have a standard Goldendoodle that weighs just over 80 pounds. His name is Teddy. He is turning 4 in November and is very mild-mannered, completely opposite of the chocolate lab we use to have.! We go on daily walks of at least 2 miles.! I can’t wait to care for your furry pet like I do mine.! I work full-time, but I have flexibility with my schedule. I do not work a 9-5 job so I am able to make my own hours and schedule. I have dog-sitter for friends and family before in their homes so I always make sure to treat their dog like I do mine. I make sure to clean up after them, am aware of mine and their surroundings when on walks and at parks.
About: Hi! My name is Kyla and I love pets! I have over 12 years experience pet sitting professionally. My passion for pets started very young, my first job was dog sitting for neighbors starting at the age of 15. Since then I have built my resume, I have done everything in pet care from working in local pet stores to doggy daycares. Now-a-days I am a professional dog trainer with a focus on dog behavior and psychology. I have over 5 years experience teaching my own training classes such as puppy classes, basic obedience and reactivity. I am experienced and comfortable working with all different types of breeds and behaviors! I look forward to meeting you and your furbabies! I am currently available most days and times for dog walks and drop in visits! I am also balancing a training shedule so please give me as much notice as possible so I can adjust my shedule to fit you and your pets. I am a believer in positive reinforcement. When caring for pets I use tools such as treats, toys and praise to keep a happy and fun environment!

“Melissa was great!! Like most I was so anxious to leave my dog while at work all day. She was awesome with my dog and sent pics of him looking so happy and gave him treats. I video chatted with her prior and knew she truly is an animal lover.”

About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.
About: I have been taking care of animals my entire life and currently do it for a living! I have had a horse, a pig, dogs, birds, bunnies, ect. The whole 9 yards! Nothing makes me happier than to make a difference in these animals everyday lives by making them feel special even if I am only with them a couple minutes a day! I currently work full time but my schedule is super flexible! I have plenty of room in my schedule to fit some new friends in! I AM NOT VERY COMFORTABLE SLEEPING OVER AT OTHERS HOUSE QUITE YET BUT, am willing to be there until latest midnight and returning back as early as 5-6am. I am open to just about anything! I have worked with a variety of dogs, from crates to fenced in yards or no fence at all. I am very accommodating to every situation that may be at hand!
