About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: Animals are freakin awesome and I love them! I've had snails, a bird, frogs, co-owned cats (one at a time), as well as cat sit. I grew up with a dog, and spent 15+years with my beloved baby Shiba Inu Kenji. He had one eye, lots of arthritis, kidney issues, and half his teeth in the end but was full of life! Very familiar with meds and schedules and special needs, natural food etc. Not ready for another and didn't know much about this service. I wish l'd have known, so let me help YOU! (Note- i cannot take dogs over 60lbs, check box options are limited. Thanks for understanding) I work from home so can be available for full days, or as needed. Weekends I may have some things to do but will prioritize where needed. I do not have a crate, but you can provide. Otherwise I have bowls and beds and cones of shame as well as soft flower cone where needed. I also have gates and a pen, and multiple doors. I treat my animals (mine or family friends) like a kid. Safety always, lots of love, and a fun time!

About: I’ve had a dog in our lives for the past 12 years who passed away a couple months ago. We rescued 3 kittens in 2021. Jack is our oldest cat and he is quite a character. Luz is our middle cat and she is the sweetest little thing to look at/she loves to talk. Baby is our not so little baby and is such a friendly loving cat. I’m currently working 80% remote from home during the week and available on the weekends. Having my cats at home have kept me company and make the day go by faster. My cats have free range of our home and no restrictions. They have their favorite spots to nap during the day which is our bathroom, under my teenagers beds and on my bed while I work. About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. I love animals and if you have other little friends who need care, just let me know what to do and I’ll do it. I work night shift as an ICU Nurse so I’m home all day. About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.
About: I worked for over 4 years at a highly rated pet boarding facility where I cared for all breeds, ages and temperaments of both cats and dogs. This included feeding, medicating. I am trained in cat and dog CPR and have experience administering insulin and oral medications. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter walking dogs and handling them at off-site adoption events. I am currently a senior in college in Arizona but I am home for winter break from mid December to mid January. I am very open during this time! I can prepare food, administer oral and topical medications, and help keep your pets company while you are away. I treat each pet as my own and love meeting new fur-friends.

This allows me to give each pet my full attention and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and at home during their stay.
