About: As a lifelong animal lover with years of experience in pet care, I understand that every pet has their own unique needs. I pride myself on having a strong sense of animal behavior and adjusting care accordingly to each individual pet’s temperament. I have a great deal of experience with senior pets and/or pets with a strict medication regimen. I understand that these animals often need additional patience and compassion and I am always striving to reliably provide such care. This includes administering edible, topical, and injectable medications. I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes as well as cats and small animals (birds, fish, reptiles, etc) so you can rest assured that your beloved critters are in good hands! My main goal in pet care is to provide reliable and respectful service that keeps your furry friend happy and gives you peace of mind in knowing they are properly cared for while you are away. I hope that I get to meet you and your pets very soon! Pet care is currently my main focus so my weekly schedule is almost always open. I am extremely flexible with scheduling which means I will be available to do reoccurring visits or extended pet sitting if need be. I have my own transportation so I am happy to make visits that are a bit out of my area as well. I have worked in professional pet care for 7+ years which has including both daily dog walking and overnight house-sitting. Being respectful of my client’s pets and their homes is of utmost importance to me. As well as pet sitting I am more than happy to take on other house-sitting responsibilities such as watering plants and bringing in mail/packages. About: I’ve always loved taking care of my furry and not so furry friends!! I grew up in a home full of dogs and a vast range of animals such as reptiles, amphibians, and other aquatic life etc. I’m currently working from home so my schedule is generally open as far as Monday-Friday. About: I grew up and have been around dogs my whole life. Many family members have trusted me to care for their dogs. I also worked as a dog bather for a year. I am familiar with dog body language. I will treat every dog as if they are my own! My schedule is has recently filled up a bit more, leaving little to no room for new clients. About: I have had and been around dogs since I was a child. Dogs seem to come to me naturally; without fear or hesitation. I honestly believe this is because I approach them with ease and am not forceful. It seemed like a natural step for me to join the Rover community. Ive also been a dog owner and currently have Jazzy who is my beloved Boston Terrier Mix with a big personality and sweet nature. I'll need to figure out my schedule so I can make time to walk the dogs. We have a fenced off area in our backyard. In the rest of the yard, I make sure dogs stay on their leashes. About: Hi! I'm looking for new wonderful pets to walk and take care of! I have taken in four rescues, all with different special physical and behavioral needs. I currently have two Pitbull mixes, one Lab mix, and a multiple tropical aquariums! Caring for animals has been a passion of mine since I was young. A favorite activity of mine is taking my dogs to local forest preserves where they can play and exert their energy. I can administer eye drops, pills, and ointments to pets as my own have different medications that they need on a regular basis. I have also taken classes in care for companion animals. About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home.
