About: I have two cats and have taken care of numerous friends’ dogs while on vacations. I routinely feed and clean up after my cats. I genuinely enjoy walking and caring for friends’ dogs. I’m currently working full-time from home. I am picking up shifts at a store in the mall as well. I enjoy filling my life with helpful tasks. I am very attentive to any special needs or unique quirks your pet may have. I want to let your pets personality shine and give them encouragement to live happy lives.

About: I have had and been around dogs since I was a child. Dogs seem to come to me naturally; without fear or hesitation. I honestly believe this is because I approach them with ease and am not forceful. It seemed like a natural step for me to join the Rover community. Ive also been a dog owner and currently have Jazzy who is my beloved Boston Terrier Mix with a big personality and sweet nature. Jazzy and I chose each other and its been an adventure ever since day one! she loves everyone but at times can be a little bossy. I'm well aware of who runs the household! I pride myself on ensuring that Jazzy stays healthy by giving her quality food and treats, Along with that she enjoys her fenced in yard and takes daily walks. We have lots of playtime and cuddles. I'll treat your dog as I would my own. That is my motto as I don't want you to worry or be concerned when you are away from your precious fur baby. I can't replace you, or would never try but rest assured your pet will receive all my tender loving care. I have had the opportunity to care for some dogs on Rover who have become regular clients. The owners have told me that they reach out to me first and hope that I am available. That is a huge compliment and I'm honored that I made such an impact on their four legged friend. All the pets I have met have their own unique personality and what I do as a sitter is simply take them for who they are which includes any little quirks. Canine or human, we all possess them. If you like what you see, let's schedule a meet and greet and see if I'm the right fit for your pet and their needs. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and read my profile! I work remotely on a part time basis so can be available in the afternoon/evening and do pet sitting on the weekends away from my home. Well I make sure my dog Jazzy is loved and cared for each and every day. I give her good food and healthy treats. Daily walks and preventive meds to keep her healthy and strong.

About: I love dogs and started volunteering at an animal shelter on the northside. This entailed feeding the dogs, providing enrichment time, taking care of their bathroom habits, and training them. I'm patient and understanding with animals and people alike! I'm currently in a transition phase with my career, so my schedule is flexible. This will give me time to play and take care of your lovely dogs! I don't currently own a dog. However, I'm familiar with taking care of dogs in a city environment and happy to explore safe neighborhoods and parks. I know how important it is to be mindful of a dog's behavior and habits. I follow instructions well and will take care of your dog as if it were my own.

“Suzanne is amazing! I think my dogs are disappointed now when it’s only me walking through the door. She is very loving with the dogs and incorporates play and gives me great updates. I’m so grateful to have found her.”

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life. As well as a few different sizes and temperaments as well - from a toy poodle, to two collies, and now a Shetland sheepdog. Starting in elementary school, I have taken care of many of my neighbors pets while they went on vacation or a weekend tournament. I have taken care of puppies all the way to senior dogs that need special care and special attention. I am currently a sophomore at Trinity Christian College, and I also play volleyball! My schedule is typically planned out weeks in advance, so I know when I am available to see your fur babies. I know how important it is to my family that my dog gets the attention he needs while we are gone, so I can promise I will do the same for you! Many dogs find it comfortable to stay in their own home. With owning many different dogs I know how to keep boundaries with dogs (if they like being touched, etc.) I have taken care of dogs who need medication, changed diapers, and food stirred a certain way😂. I will do my very best to make your dog as comfortable as possible.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was little. I potty train, walk, house sit my friends and families dogs and puppies. I have lots of love and patience from working as a CNA and a special education teacher and with my own kids and puppy you will be comforted to know I will love and take care of your baby so you can feel assured they will be in good hands. Hi Im Mercy and I'm a stay at home mom now I use to work as a CNA and a special education teacher and now I'm a stay at home mom. I have two kids of my own and a puppy I will have a lot of time to love on your pet and I will send pictures and keep you informed that your pet is doing well. My schedule is very open and I have a lot to offer to walking, daycare, pet sitting. I know the feeling of leaving your pet with a stranger and I want you to feel at ease I will take good care of your pet and love on them. I will take care of your pets in my home but I also can go to your home and let your pet out and feed your pet and walk your pet as well.

About: Growing up surrounded by pets, I developed a deep understanding of their needs, behaviors, and the patience required to make them feel safe and loved. I take a calm and compassionate approach, ensuring that every pet I care for feels comfortable and well looked after. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, or just providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Your pet’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities, and you can trust me to provide reliable and loving care. I am a current student at Trinity Christian College so I have a lot of free time from Monday to Thursday. On weekends I am usually in the city working my part time job as a bridal stylist. My flexible schedule allows me to adapt to different routines, ensuring that pets stay comfortable and happy while their owners are away :) With years of experience of caring for my own pets I understand the importance of following routines and recognizing pet behaviors. I like to talk to my clients about routines and dietary instructions before I take care of their furry friend to really get a feel for what is best for them. I have a pretty strict diet with my own dogs so I like to make sure I can trust someone to do the same as I would as well :) Pet owners can rely on me to be punctual, responsible, and communicative, giving them peace of mind knowing their furry friends are in trustworthy hands.

“Stephanie did an amazing job working with Winston (who can be quite a handful at times). Communication was easy and direct and she was very accommodating of my ever changing schedule. I would definitely recommend her for your next rover request.”

About: I have been walking dogs for friends since I was young. My dogs and any dogs coming into my house will have full access to every room and can go on the furniture. I have a fenced yard for them to run around in. I work mornings to afternoons but have time in between to ensure the dogs are let out and comfortable. I am able to pick up and drop off if needed. We live right by a great dog park and go there often so as long as the owners are okay I would take them to the park. I have had dogs my whole life and have taken care of many for families traveling or needing someone to stop by and walk their dogs if needed. I am a total dog mom, and try to make sure not only the dog is happy but the parents of the dog are too.

About: I love every dog and cat I take care of. I have always had dogs while growing up so i have seen the puppy phase to old age senior dogs. I have taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family once in a while over the years when needed to help them out. I am happy to do whatever it takes to make sure your dog and cat are safe and well cared for. I am doing this part time to gain more experience as I want to be a vet tech. I currently have a part time job while doing rover and am available to house sit, drop in, and walk your dogs. I am available most mornings, early afternoons, and late evenings. Let me know what you need and we can work something out. :) Taking care of your pet will be like it is my own pet. I will feed, pet, play, walk, love, etc. Anything they need to feel safe and happy while you are away from home. I want them to feel comfortable as much as possible.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12 (small and large). They bring me immense joy and happiness. I have extensive experience with giant breeds. I raised my Bull Mastiff, Barnaby, from a pup and rescued an English Mastiff named Shakespeare (200 lbs of pure love). I am diligent and reliable. I know what to look for as far as health and emergencies. Barnaby was plagued with severe allergies so I know all the tips and tricks to make them feel better. I am cautious, careful, and compassionate. Your fur baby will receive lots of love and attention. I left corporate healthcare after 15 years to pursue experiences that allow me to help a fellow neighbor and care for animals that bring me so much joy. I have the time your precious pet needs. Depending on your specific needs, we can ensure your pet is given the same type of care as when he/she is with you. If it’s walking for a specific amount of time, type of play you want encouraged, treats, cuddles, resting time, etc - we can definitely work out a care plan that you approve of. Everyone cares for their pets differently and I want your experience to be unique and personal to your family. I do live in a condo, so if your fur baby needs overnight care, with your permission, I would bring them to my dad’s house (where I would be staying) in Oak Lawn (1.5 miles from me). His house is bigger than my condo and has a 6ft privacy fence in the backyard that would be perfect for exercise and playtime. He is also an avid dog lover - no dogs currently in the home. Our beloved Shakespeare recently crossed over the rainbow bridge and we’d love the opportunity to care for your pet. There would be no lack of attention and love. If you would like to chat with him or see the home your fur baby would be sleeping at, that can be arranged. If you need in home services, I’d love to chat about your pets routine.

10. Pooja N.
“I had the pleasure of working with Pooja Nagpal during her time as a volunteer at CARE, where I served as one of the Captains. From the start, Pooja stood out as someone truly reliable, responsible, and committed. In a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable shelter environment, her calm presence and excellent communication skills made her a vital part of our team. She always asked the right questions, sought clarity when needed, and ensured that every task was carried out with precision and care. Pooja worked with the dogs in a deeply respectful and compassionate way. She never forced a fearful dog to do anything they weren’t ready for, always honoring their boundaries and helping build their confidence through trust and kindness. Whether it was grooming, walking, or feeding—especially our complex feeding routines for over 15 dogs with varied dietary needs—I could always count on her to handle it with care and attention to detail. What made Pooja truly stand out was her willingness to speak up when she felt unsure. Rather than risking a mistake, she asked for guidance, which is an incredibly valuable quality in such a dynamic and sometimes stressful environment. I always felt confident knowing she was caring for the dogs, because her priority was their safety, comfort, and well-being. Pooja brought warmth, patience, and genuine love to her time at CARE. She never lost her temper, never got frustrated with the animals, and her joy in working with them was clear every single day. I wholeheartedly recommend her for any role involving animals—any organization would be lucky to have her.”

I will definitely be having her watch my cats again and recommending her to all my friends :)”

20. Megan K.
“Megan, my daughter, has loving experience when it comes to taking care of animals. During Megan's lifetime, Megan has taken care of 4 dogs and currently has two cats. As Megan's father I got to witness first hand the living experience Megan provided to my 200lb. English Mastiff. Megan also taught me how to administer oral medication and apply both topical creams and ointment. Megan rescued her two cats when they were small and sickly but was able to nurse them back to health. Now the two cats are happy and healthy and have a place to call home. There's nothing Megan will not do for your pets. I know this because I have trusted and witnessed Megan for years with my English Mastiff. Megan will provide all the love and attention your pets deserve.”
