I cannot say enough great things about Lauren. She provided the BEST care for my old Great Pyrenees and made my week away from her peaceful due to her multiple daily updates (where I knew my pup was being taken care of & being loved). Lauren is communicative, kind, obviously incredibly knowledgeable of animal care, diligent, and truly treats your animals & home like they are hers. I will 100% be using Lauren again and I couldn’t be more glad to have found her!

It was our first time getting a sitter to stay in our home and care for our 3 dogs for 2 days and Kathryn did not dissapoint. She was very attentive, sweet, patient, and understood all the directions on what to do for our 3 fur babies since they all have different eating habits and personalities. She made sure she texted me throughout her stay if she had any questions and sent us plenty of pics to keep us updated. She was very respectful of our home too. Her price is completely reasonable and I felt like the kids were in good hands with her. I would ask for her help again in the future and I definitely recommend.

About: 𐂯 Meet & Greets
 ฅ ฅ Detailed updates with photos/videos
ᵔᴥᵔ Puppies, senior pets, anxious dogs & medications I've had pets my entire life and currently have two huskies who are a big part of my life. I've also cared for pets for family, friends, and neighbors, and I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I spent time with dogs of different ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. I know how stressful it can be to find someone you feel comfortable leaving your pet with. I’ll make each experience as easy and reassuring as possible. My goal is to eventually work with animals full-time, and Rover gives me the opportunity to do more of what I love while helping people in my community. I enjoy figuring out what makes each pet feel comfortable and loved! Adjusting to them instead of expecting them to adjust to me. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing outside, sticking to their usual routine, or simply having someone nearby, I'm happy to adapt to what makes them most comfortable and gives you peace of mind. You'll receive regular updates and photos throughout each visit so you always know how your pet is doing. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! ․°𓃠•°․𓃦․• My Availability ﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌ ⟡ Weekday evenings (after school) ⟡ Weekends ⟡ Holidays ⟡ School breaks ⟡ Summer vacation 𓆉°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ I'm flexible, responsive, and believe in open communication, so you'll always have peace of mind while your pet is in my care! Your pet's safety is always my top priority. On walks, I stay alert to our surroundings, use secure leash handling, and tailor each walk to your pet's pace and comfort level. In your home, I'll respect your space, follow your care instructions and routines, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable.

About: Dogs are my favorite animal! Why? Because they are loyal, caring, fun and you already know this because you own one! :) I have a shepherd mix who I love dearly. I used to volunteer at West suburban humane society, and have dealt with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I feel comfortable around dogs and have lots of experience. I treat them like a member of the family. I love all animals, so if you have cats rabbits etc I will not be bothered. I have been around dogs since childhood and working with dogs is a dream of mine. If your dog needs medicine I have experience with that as well. I am extra gentle with senior dogs and can keep up with puppies I have a flexible schedule so I can work with your schedule. We can discuss your pets needs so I can accommodate your schedule easily. I follow owner instructions precisely and ask questions if anything seems unclear. Pet safety is always my number one priority. If I think a pet may not be safe for anyone I always reach out to the owner.

About: I’ve always had a natural connection with animals, especially dogs, and finally welcomed my own pup, Leia, into my life five years ago. Since then, I’ve handled all of her training, walks, feeding schedule, etc., myself. I learned a lot from years of watching "It’s Me or the Dog," and put what I've learned into practice with my dog, Leia. What sets me apart is my mix of genuine love for dogs, hands‑on training experience, and a calm, reliable presence. I’m excited to meet your pup and give them a walk they’ll remember; one that’s safe, stimulating, and tailored to their personality. I am a college student at DePaul University, majoring in Finance and Criminology. I commute on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am free to walk your furry friend any day that isn't Tuesday or Thursday :) I have one energetic five-year-old Wheaton terrier whom I have trained by myself. I walk her at least once a day, feed her, play with her, and train her when time allows. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your established rules and routines to ensure your dog feels comfortable and stress‑free. I pay close attention to safety — from securely leashing during walks to double‑checking doors, gates, and feeding instructions. My goal is to treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I give my own.

Olivia did a great job of making our anxious dog and two cats comfortable during her house sitting. She was very communicative throughout the duration of our travel and our pets were well cared for. During the meet and greet, she asked a lot of great questions regarding things I haven’t thought about. I will definitely be rebooking with Olivia the next time I am out of town. Thank you!

Leah was absolutely wonderful with Shelby, our dog. The first time she came over to meet Shelby, I knew she was great with dogs. Shelby is usually very apprehensive about meeting new people, but she warmed right away to Leah. Leah was sweet and attentive and treated Shelby as if she was her own family pet. She stayed at our house and left everything so spotless! She is an amazing dog sitter and I am so relieved to have found someone to watch Shelby when I can't be there. Five stars!

FAQs for House Sitting - Bridgeview

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Bridgeview on Rover is $41.63 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 7,985 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bridgeview. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bridgeview walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bridgeview maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bridgeview choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bridgeview. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
