About: I’ve grown up and taken care of dogs ever since I was little. I would say I’m knowledgeable on dog training and have a lot of experience with all different types of dogs. I love to walk and pet pups so hopefully we can be good match!! I’m currently working part-time in the afternoon (3-6) so I have lots of free time to check in or walk your pet. I have owned Goldens my entire life so training a high-energy dog is something I’m experienced in. I’m all about creating a safe and enriching environment for dogs, so I’m open to adapting to your pets daily routine.
“I am so happy to be able to rely on the fact that James is extremely punctual. He is here every morning at the designated time. He has been patient with my small dog, who has a preference for women and has had to grow accustomed to a male dog walker. James has given him space and encouragement.”

“Tamara is amazing. Our dog Luna loves her walks with her. We know she is in good hands. I would recommend Tamara to anyone that has a dog and wants to know your baby is taking care of.”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Having owned and cared for both dogs and cats throughout my life, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their different personalities, routines, and needs. I genuinely enjoy building trust with each pet and creating a positive, stress-free experience for them while their owners are away. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm and caring companion nearby, I’m committed to providing attentive, loving care that helps them feel right at home. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. As a recent college graduate, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize the pets I care for throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and pet care has always been a natural part of my life. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, play sessions, or evening cuddles, I can provide consistent attention and care while keeping pet owners updated and giving them peace of mind while they’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to make them feel as comfortable and loved as possible by sticking to their usual routine and giving them the attention they need. Whether that means energetic playtime, long walks, lots of cuddles, or simply providing calm companionship, I adapt my care to each pet’s personality and preferences. I make safety a top priority, ensure they have plenty of fresh water, exercise, and enrichment, and keep owners informed with updates and photos throughout their stay or visit. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I strive to provide dependable, compassionate care every time.
“My’Anna has been amazing! From the very start, she was quick to reply to our initial request, which gave us peace of mind that our dog would be taken care of. She’s been incredibly gentle and patient with our dog as well. It’s been great to see how Tamalito grows more comfortable with her- we even catch him waiting by the door for her visits on our cameras!”

“Jessica was very kind to walk my dogs when I hurt my foot! She’s flexible and a great communicator, and my boys were happy and tired after their walk with her. Would definitely book again!”

“Gina is very kind and patient with our anxious dog. She even helped me administer his insulin shots a couple times. Good communication. I always knew exactly when she would be arriving.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every pet as if they were my own. My love for animals comes from raising my own dogs, especially my sweet girl, Roxi, whom I was fortunate to have from the time she was a puppy until she crossed the Rainbow Bridge in February 2026 at 15 years old. Caring for her through every stage of life gave me firsthand experience with senior dog care, medication schedules, mobility assistance, and the extra patience, compassion, and love that aging pets deserve. I'm comfortable maintaining feeding routines, administering oral medications, providing potty breaks, and recognizing when a dog's behavior or health seems out of the ordinary. I understand that every dog has a different personality, energy level, and comfort needs, and I adapt my care to make them feel safe, relaxed, and loved. For puppies, I'm happy to reinforce the training and routines you're already working on, including crate training, potty schedules, basic commands, and positive reinforcement. I know consistency is important, and I'll follow your instructions to help keep your puppy on track. You'll also receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and in caring hands. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Pet care fits well into my schedule because I work a hybrid full-time position, which allows me flexibility throughout the week. I carefully manage my calendar and only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to, ensuring every pet receives the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it's morning walks, evening visits, overnight stays, or weekend care, I plan my schedule around each pet's needs. I believe reliability and consistency are just as important as love and affection, so I make it a priority to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible. About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all ages for friends and family members, in addition to raising my own cat. I have experience caring for animals with health concerns and administering medications as directed. I understand the importance of maintaining feeding schedules, providing exercise and enrichment, monitoring for changes in behavior, and ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I am currently taking a flexible, self-paced class so I have open availability to take care of pets as needed. I have open availability on weekdays and can do weekends as needed. I have a medium sized yard for the pets to get outdoor excercise. I also have a large basement where I can set up a crate, litter box, toys, etc
About: Hello! I’m Ellie, and I would be thrilled to be your go-to pet sitter while away. I have a super sweet dog named Frankie, who’s not just my furry companion but also my best buddy. Frankie has a playful spirit and loves to run around and play at the dog park, but she also knows how to relax and enjoy some quality couch time, so I always aim to provide a good balance of play/enrichment time and resting. Our daily routine includes long walks where we explore the neighbourhood and visit the dog park every day, ensuring plenty of exercise and socialization. I love getting outside and enjoying the fresh air, and I can’t wait to share that experience with your pup. I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility in my schedule. This means I can give your dog the attention they need, whether it's playtime, walks, or just some gentle cuddles. My primary goal is to ensure your furry friend feels safe, secure and loved while they’re in my care. I believe that open communication is key, so you can expect regular updates and photos to keep you connected with your dog while you’re away. I’m excited to create a nurturing and fun environment for your dog. Let’s connect and see how I can help make your pet’s time with me enjoyable and stress-free! I work from home and care for my dog Frankie so I am home most of the time to care for your pup. The most I might be gone is a couple hours at a time to run errands and if I do have to go out I make sure your pup is well exercised, tired and ready for a nap. I live in a very spacious apartment within walking distance of multiple parks and walking trails. While in the home I can set up separate areas for your pet to make them feel secure and at home or let them have free rein of the apartment (whatever works best for your pet's needs). I take pride in giving my dog the best life possible and would extend that sentiment to any dog in my care. Throughout the day I offer tons of attention, treats and playtime and regular pictures and updates to give you peace of mind while you are away!.

About: I am doing some daycare and hosting again, as of May 2023. However, I am only able to take hypo-allergenic dogs at this time. I am always available to dog-sit in your home. Also, I can walk your dog locally (Westchester, Cermak and Wolf area). I am also available to check-in on your dog locally, 7 days a week. I have been on Rover for five years now. Many years of dog-sitting and hosting experience before that. I also like to walk dogs. I have been a member of a dog training club, and my own dogs earned their "Good Citizen" awards. I will work on some basic commands if you would like. I will treat your dog like my own. I respect your style of discipline and will follow your directions exactly. I have plenty of time for play and walks! Love to get out and exercise with your dogs. Love to cuddle on the couch too. Even at home, dogs need supervision. An eye is always out for them. I will go out with your dog into your fenced yard, or walk them. If I am hosting your dog, I go out into my fenced yard with them.

Tamara has been a tremendous dog walker for our dog Dickens. She’s friendly and very good with our dogs and has been attentive, on time, as well as very responsible. She scheduled a meeting with our dogs and with us prior to booking to make sure everyone was comfortable. Would highly recommend Tamara to anyone for her wonderful skills.

Elizabeth continues to be a very reliable and loving dog sitter, whom our dog adores! She not only walks Lily, but she plays with her on days that aren’t nice (their favorite game is soccer!) and takes the time to make sure she’s happy and cared for during each visit. Elizabeth watches our dog weekly, and we couldn’t be happier with her communication and the extra care she consistently puts in.

My’Anna has been amazing! From the very start, she was quick to reply to our initial request, which gave us peace of mind that our dog would be taken care of. She’s been incredibly gentle and patient with our dog as well. It’s been great to see how Tamalito grows more comfortable with her- we even catch him waiting by the door for her visits on our cameras!

I can’t recommend Jocelyn enough as a dog walker! She takes such great care of my dog and is always so patient and attentive. I’ve truly noticed a positive difference, my dog is happier, more relaxed, does not pull as much and looks forward to their walks together. It gives me peace of mind knowing my pup is in such caring hands. Jocelyn is reliable, kind, and clearly loves what she does. I’m so grateful to have found her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
