About: Your pet won't just be watched, they'll be genuinely cared for. I’ve spent over 20 years caring for animals of all kinds, and that experience has taught me how to support pets with every temperament and need. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, senior, or requires specialized care, I take the time to understand their routines, triggers, and comfort cues so they feel safe and secure from the moment they arrive. With a background in behavioral psychology and positive‑reinforcement handling, I understand the motivations, stress signals, comfort cues, and behavior patterns that shape how dogs respond to new environments. This deeper insight into how dogs process change, manage stress, and build trust allows me to read body language accurately, anticipate triggers, and support each dog with structure, reassurance, and training strategies that truly fit their emotional needs. It’s care that feels intuitive and comforting for everyday pups- and thoughtfully informed for dogs who benefit from more specialized, behavior‑aware support. I’ve cared for puppies to seniors, small to large breeds, multi‑pet households, and pets who need medications or structured routines. That range of experience gives me a strong, practical foundation in understanding behavior, building trust, and tailoring care to each dog’s unique personality. My favorite part of pet care is building trust. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a shy, anxious, or reserved pet relax and let their personality shine. Some of the most rewarding feedback I receive is when owners tell me their pet seemed more comfortable, playful, or affectionate than usual. I take the time to understand each dog’s emotional comfort zone so they feel safe being themselves. And when those moments happen, you'll get to see them too. I love sharing photos, videos, and updates so you can enjoy your pet's adventures while you're away!
 🛡️Safety First, Always
I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to give you peace of mind by providing attentive, thoughtful care and keeping you informed every step of the way.

 I stay fully engaged with your pet throughout their stay, whether we’re indoors relaxing or outdoors exploring. I’m attentive to their energy levels, comfort, and shifting needs, and I’m mindful of our surroundings- unfamiliar dogs, wildlife, weather, and anything that could affect their experience. I also have experience introducing dogs to one another thoughtfully and at a pace that keeps everyone comfortable. I guide interactions thoughtfully, recognizing early signs of curiosity, uncertainty, playfulness, or overstimulation. I believe great pet care comes from being engaged, observant, and proactive. From the moment your pet arrives until they're safely back with you, their well-being is my top priority.
 🌟Personalized Care for Every Pet & Every Owner No two pets are alike, and neither are their owners.
 Some families provide detailed instructions, schedules, and preferences. Others simply want peace of mind knowing their pet is in experienced hands. I genuinely enjoy both approaches.
  I'm naturally detail-oriented, attentive, and precautionary, so I carefully follow every instruction provided. At the same time, my years of experience allow me to confidently care for pets whose owners prefer a more relaxed approach. Whether you prefer frequent updates or occasional check-ins, detailed summaries or quick messages, I'll adapt to your communication style while providing the same level of attentive care. Your pet's care stays consistent regardless of how much or how little direction you provide. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, consistent attention throughout the week.
 Monday-Thursday: I work 8 AM-4 PM just minutes from home, so I can stop by during lunch for potty breaks, walks, check-ins, and extra attention when needed.
 Fridays: I work remotely, which gives me even more flexibility for walks, playtime, enrichment, and companionship throughout the day. Weekends: My schedule is open, making it easy to accommodate overnight stays, extended visits, and last-minute bookings.
 Because my routine is consistent, pets settle in quickly and receive steady, dependable care. Whether your pet enjoys activity, companionship, or simply a predictable routine, I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for during their stay. 🤍A Calm, Low-Stress Environment
 One of the things pets benefit from most in my care is that I don’t have any animals of my own. This means visiting pets receive my full attention in a calm environment without competing for space, affection, or supervision. For many dogs, especially anxious, young, senior, shy, or independent dogs, this can make a huge difference. They often settle in more quickly because the environment is quiet, predictable, and focused entirely on them.
 Your pet's routine becomes my routine. Whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, cuddling on the couch, frequent potty breaks, or simply relaxing nearby, I take the time to learn what helps them feel most comfortable.
 My building includes: • Private pet park- a safe, enclosed spot for pets to stretch out, play, and enjoy fresh air during their stay • Quiet park nearby for peaceful walks- ideal for pets who prefer gentle environments over the hustle of community dog areas • Pet wash room- perfect for muddy paws, quick rinses, and keeping pets fresh and comfortable during their stay • Elevator and stair access- every pet gets an option based on their comfort and mobility needs All designed to help pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.

For boarding/daycare, pets who prefer space from other pets can enjoy a one‑household stay.

 💛Extra Support & Attention
 My wife is also a lifelong experienced animal lover. Pets naturally gravitate toward her kind, playful energy with them! She provides an extra set of eyes, hands, and attention, which can be especially helpful for puppies, active dogs, and multi-pet households. Like me, she respects your pet, routines, and home, and takes their care seriously. 🏡 House Sitting: Respectful Pet Care & Home Care
 When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is for you to return to a happy pet and a home that looks exactly as you left it. I come fully prepared with my own laptop, hotspot, meals, and daily essentials. I don't require Wi-Fi, snacks, streaming services, or household supplies. Most of my time is spent playing with, walking, cuddling, grooming, or simply spending quality time with your pet. I closely follow feeding schedules, household rules, training routines, and walking expectations. I also: • Bring in mail (just lmk)/take out trash • Vacuum pet hair (just lmk) • Keep food and water areas clean • Tidy up after myself • Wipe down surfaces I use • Handle pet-related cleanups • Respect all security measures and gates
 You'll never have surprise visitors, smoking, parties, or drinking in your home. I treat your home with the same care and respect I would expect someone to show mine.
 One of my strongest qualities is being a respectful house guest. Your home, routines, and pet's comfort matter to me.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and currently care for two of my own with ongoing health needs: one with hip dysplasia, who needs walks with breaks, physical therapy, and swimming sessions, and one with IBD, who needs a strict diet and daily medication. I'm comfortable giving medication, managing special diets, and following care instructions exactly as given. I also spent a year pet-sitting a neighbor's puppy and cat, including daily visits and boarding. I'm a parent to a toddler and available every weekday morning, roughly 8:30am to 12pm, for visits and walks. Caring for pets is part of my daily rhythm already, so your pet gets my full attention during our time together, not a rushed in-between. I follow each pet's routine and instructions closely, whether that's medication, a specific diet, or a particular walking pace. I'm attentive to small changes in behavior or appetite, since I manage similar things with my own dogs at home. I send photo updates during visits so you always know how things went.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and currently have two long haired miniature dachshunds that I’ve raised since they were puppies. If you know dachshunds, you know how stubborn they can be… which means I’ve mastered patience, consistency, and lots of love for all pups. I’m trusted by friends and family to walk, feed, and care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I treat every pup like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella are required vaccinations. Please provide proof of current vaccinations and/or the contact information and authorization to speak to your vet if needed. I work full time at a school and typically finish my day around 3pm, which allows me to offer dog walks and drop in visits after work during the week. For house sitting, my availability is primarily during holidays and school breaks when I’m off work and have more flexibility to spend time with your pets! While my availability is more limited during the school year, I’m always happy to chat about your needs and see if we can find something that works with my schedule. In your home: I love getting to know pets before caring for them, so I always welcome a meet and greet beforehand! This gives us a chance to get comfortable with one another and allows me to learn about their daily routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions. My goal is to keep your pets as comfortable and happy as possible while you’re away, all while maintaining the routines they’re used to. For walks and drop ins: I make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for during our time together. Whether that’s a nice walk, potty break, playtime, feeding, or some extra cuddles, I tailor each visit to your pet’s personality and needs. As a dog mom of two myself, I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets. I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and attention I’d want someone to give my own! In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment in my apartment. All outdoor time is done on a secure leash, and we also have access to a nearby dog park if your pup is comfortable going for extra exercise and playtime. Since I have two dogs of my own, I prefer to schedule a meet and greet before boarding so our pets can be properly introduced and feel comfortable with one another. In your home, I love to meet pets beforehand so they can become comfortable with me prior to care. I take time to learn their routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions so I can provide consistent and reliable care while you’re away. For walks and drop-ins, I make sure your pet feels safe and happy during our time together. Whether that’s a structured walk, potty break, playtime, or extra cuddles, I tailor each visit to your pet’s personality and routine.

About: I feel strongly about the human animal-bond and I believe your pets deserve the best care possible! My experience goes back to childhood since I've had cats and dogs my whole life. I've watched neighbors' and friends' pets while they were out of town and even watched a friend's horses while she was on vacation. I walked dogs at Anderson Animal Shelter (now Anderson Humane) as a kid. I worked for a pet sitting company for a little over a year in 2020. That year I also began school to become a certified veterinary technician. After two years taking classes full time and completing two externships I became a CVT. My schooling did include kennels- aka walking, cleaning up after and caring for the rescued dogs and cats we learned on (they were adopted out at the end of each semester). I also have helped with pets who were boarding at veterinary offices. I can do medical treatments on your fur baby if necessary. I am open to watching exotic pets. I have a huge admiration for spicy cats. I am your person for house sitting and drop in visits. I will be using Rover for part time work but I do have flexible availability! I have stepped away from full time work all together for the foreseeable future. I am a morning person and I would love to spend some time outside with your pup whatever the weather may be. I enjoy walking outside even in zero degree weather! I am happy to accommodate any routine you need for your fur babies. Greeting your pet is important, especially if I am new to them. I will give them food and water and clean dishes as advised by you. I will take them for a walk or outside to play and go potty depending on what they are up for. If you need pills or treatments or any kind to be administered I can absolutely do that. I will treat your pet, your home and belongings with the utmost respect and responsibility.

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life and have over 10 years of experience caring for them. I truly love animals and enjoy making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the extra patience and attention they may need. I have also helped train my own dogs, giving me experience with reinforcing good behaviors and maintaining routines. I would love to provide your pets with the same love, care, and attention I give my own! I currently have a flexible schedule while searching for a position in social work and volunteering with local organizations. This allows me to have plenty of availability throughout the week to care for your pets! I’m happy to work with your schedule and help with walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and keeping your pets company while you’re away. As I begin my career in social work, I would love to spend my extra time doing something I enjoy: caring for animals and making sure they feel loved and comfortable! provide my own dogs with plenty of daily exercise, attention, and love. I take them on walks one to two times a day, let them out into the backyard multiple times throughout the day, and make time to play with them and keep them company. I believe pets deserve more than just the basics, so I make sure they receive plenty of affection, attention, and opportunities to stay active. I would treat your pets with the same love and care that I give my own!

About: Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, but English Bulldogs hold a special place in my heart. I trained and raised my own English Bulldog for 9 years, who grew into a special needs senior: blind in his later years and on multiple daily medications. Loving him through every stage taught me what bulldog parents already know: these dogs are one of a kind, and they need a sitter who understands them. Bulldogs aren't just low-maintenance couch potatoes, and I know the details that make the difference. I understand their stubbornness, heat sensitivities, and breathing issues. I stay on top of daily wrinkle cleaning and regular ear checks to prevent irritation and infections, and I'm happy to apply nose butter and follow your dog's grooming routine if needed. I also have the patience to work with a stubborn bulldog mood. Managing multiple daily medications and caring for a blind senior dog taught me to be organized, gentle, and attentive to any changes in routine, appetite, or behavior. My experience goes well beyond loving animals. I've worked at both a pet store and a local animal hospital, where I cared for a variety of animals, cleaned enclosures and kennels, maintained a sanitary environment, tracked food intake and behavior, and administered medications. Working alongside veterinary teams taught me to notice small changes and flag concerns early, so every animal in my care is safe, comfortable, and closely monitored. Don't have a bulldog? Don't worry! I've had years of experience caring for dogs of many breeds, plus cats, small animals, aquatic pets, and more, and I've provided trusted in-home pet care for neighbors and family members. Whether your pup is a personable bulldog like mine, or any other beloved companion, under my care they won't just be looked after. They'll be understood, loved, and treated like family. A recent Elmhurst University graduate, I currently have a flexible, full-time availability to dedicate to pet care, meaning your pets get my full attention and availability any day of the week. When I visit your home, my top priority is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and as stress-free as possible in their own environment. I know that unfamiliar faces can be an adjustment for some animals, so I always take a calm, patient approach and let your pet set the pace when it comes to warming up. During drop-ins, I'll follow your routines closely: feeding schedules, medications, behavioral notes, and any specific preferences you've set for your pet. I treat your home with the same respect and care I'd want shown in my own. Everything will be left exactly as I found it. For dog walks, I keep a close eye on body language and surroundings at all times, keeping walks safe and enjoyable. I'm experienced in handling dogs with different temperaments and energy levels, and I'll always make sure your pup is secure before heading out. I'm also happy to provide updates, photos, and notes after every visit so you always know how your pet is doing, because peace of mind for you is just as important as good care for them!

“No doubt about it, I’d pick Kaitlyn to catsit again in a heartbeat. I am so beyond thankful for all of Kaitlyn’s patience, kindness, warmth, and compassion. She bonded with both our cats right off the bat. Our shy male cat warmed up to her very quickly. The anxious girl kitty took a bit longer to come around, but Kaitlyn made sure to go at the pace of the kitty in question. She was able to medicate our male cat, and made sure they both felt loved and cared for while we were away for an extended period of time. She communicated as soon as anything came up, and was very flexible! It was such a relief knowing our cats were in such thoughtful & capable hands for the holidays. My girlfriend and I could not recommend her more highly! 🩵”

Vickie is extremely caring and attentive. Our cat is elderly and needs a lot of care. Vickie goes above and beyond, playing music and giving her extra TLC

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Valley View is $26 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $17 and $51 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 12,985 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Valley View. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

  • 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
