I was very impressed as my dog is often mopey whenever I leave and has had issues with some dogs and cats in the past. The got him to be part of the family in less than 24 hours and he has a great weekend away! My dog is also special needs and has a lot of food allergies. They did a great job handling all his various medications and feeding routine. About: We lost our cocker spaniel of 13 years about 2 years ago so I love to take care of dogs now that we don’t have a dog to pamper. We care for one dog at a time unless two dogs are siblings or good friends then that’s OK. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park nearby or just snuggle on the couch and chill with them. I realize how important your baby is to you and will give them love, companionship and special care. We love having a dog around. I’m retired and an empty nester so I am flexible and around all the time. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park and Glenbard West HS just down my street. We also like to sit on the front porch in the shade (gated) and watch the world go by. It’s a dead end street; so it’s very relaxed & chill. We are a few blocks from Main Street and town. About: I have up to a eight years of experience taking care of animals. The most known being cats, dogs, birds, and some farmlife. I also have experience in grooming regarding bathing dogs and cats. About: I feel strongly about the human animal-bond and I believe your pets deserve the best care possible! My experience goes back to childhood since I've had cats and dogs my whole life. I've watched neighbors' and friends' pets while they were out of town and even watched a friend's horses while she was on vacation. I walked dogs at Anderson Animal Shelter (now Anderson Humane) as a kid. I worked for a pet sitting company for a little over a year in 2020. That year I also began school to become a certified veterinary technician. After two years taking classes full time and completing two externships I became a CVT. My schooling did include kennels- aka walking, cleaning up after and caring for the rescued dogs and cats we learned on (they were adopted out at the end of each semester). I also have helped with pets who were boarding at veterinary offices. I can do medical treatments on your fur baby if necessary. I am open to watching exotic pets. I have a huge admiration for spicy cats. I am your person for house sitting and drop in visits. I will be using Rover for part time work but I do have flexible availability! I have stepped away from full time work all together for the foreseeable future. I am a morning person and I would love to spend some time outside with your pup whatever the weather may be. I enjoy walking outside even in zero degree weather! I am happy to accommodate any routine you need for your fur babies. Greeting your pet is important, especially if I am new to them. I will give them food and water and clean dishes as advised by you. I will take them for a walk or outside to play and go potty depending on what they are up for. If you need pills or treatments or any kind to be administered I can absolutely do that. I will treat your pet, your home and belongings with the utmost respect and responsibility.
About: We have been around dogs our entire lives and have always felt a deep connection with animals. From fostering and training, to caring for puppies, adult, and senior dogs; it has been a labor of love to nurture and nurture them through their ages, stages, and situations. From golden retrievers, newfoundlands, labradors, pitbulls, dachshunds, border collies, cockapoos, and many other breeds, we've experienced a vast array of shapes, sizes and personalities in our home. Currently, our fur family members are Boulder, our 5 year old Newfoundland boy, and Brick, our 5 month labrador boy. Both of them love other dogs and are socialized and friendly with people as well. Abbie - I am currently working part-time at a restaurant that is very flexible with my hours. I just moved back to the area and do not have too many extracurriculars at this time. Also, I truly enjoy staying busy so would love to accomodate you and your pet's needs any way I can. Karen - My schedule is flexible, as I work at home. Abbie and I rotate our "out of the house" time as best possible to ensure the pups have proper supervision and care. Our dogs have plenty access to the "great outdoors," as I spend the bulk of my days in their continual presence, so their needs are met quickly. We are dog lovers, and safety and love are our priority. We do have two dogs of our own. They are well socialized, and they fully enjoy the company of other dogs. Ideally we like to integrate our guest pups into our little 2 pack, to ensure the most fun and relaxed atmosphere for all. We do have crates available if nap time/down time away from the others is needed. Our 5 year old Newfoundland, Boulder, is a gentle giant, who is extraordinarily patient and friendly. Our 5 month old yellow lab, Brick, is a sweetheart, and still a growing puppy. He has lots of energy and is a quick learner, eager to please, and up for lots of play. He does like his naps, as does Boulder, so we do have a healthy ebb and flow to the rhythms of life here. We have a 4 foot fence around our backyard with about half an acre of land to run around in. We also have a very safe neighborhood that only has one entrance, so there are few cars. With over a mile of sidewalks, there are plenty of sniffing opportunities when we are out on our walks. Since we do have a current puppy in our home, our house is puppy proof. Our pantry door stays shut 24/7, there are no poisonous plants nearby,all cords and wires are tucked away, and no shoes are left out. If you would rather have us care for your dog in your home, we are very conscientious, of the routines and guidelines you set out for us.

“Amanda & Anton are both so amazing to work with! They have a lot of great experience with various types of dogs and got my dog assimilated into their clan seamlessly. I was very impressed as my dog is often mopey whenever I leave and has had issues with some dogs and cats in the past. The got him to be part of the family in less than 24 hours and he has a great weekend away! My dog is also special needs and has a lot of food allergies. They did a great job handling all his various medications and feeding routine. Their attention to detail and care for his needs made me feel better to leave him for the weekend and I felt very confident that he was in good hands.”
