Pet care experience

Responsible pet care

Your pet won’t just be watched- they’ll be cared for with intention, patience, and love. I’ve spent the last 20+ years caring for pretty much every kind of pet you can imagine- dogs, cats, tortoises, iguanas, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, turtles, chickens, rabbits… if it hops, waddles, wiggles, or purrs, I’ve probably fed it, walked it, or given it a pep talk! Animals have always been my grounding place, and I love making sure every pet feels safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. I’m patient, attentive, and great at reading their little quirks, which helps them settle in quickly and feel confident in a new environment. 🛡️ Safety‑Focused & Present Your pet is never left alone for long periods. I stay alert on walks, especially around unfamiliar dogs and wildlife. I keep entrances/exits controlled, adjust pace for excited pups, and follow your routines exactly. I focus on the small details that keep them secure and comfortable, so they can relax, explore, and be their happiest self. I handle all the essentials with ease- feeding routines, walks, playtime, cleaning, basic training, and juggling multiple pets at once. Whether your pet needs structure, exercise, affection, or quiet companionship, I create a stress‑free, cozy space where they can relax and feel right at home. 🛁 Optional “go‑home‑fresh” bath: Warm water, gentle shampoo, and a towel or blow‑dry based on your pet’s noise sensitivity. They’ll go home clean, soft, and smelling adorable. Available before pickup for boarding stays.

Alexandria was absolutely amazing with our puppy! We needed someone super last minute while being out of town and she was willing to go above and beyond to pick him up and take care of him! She made sure to send plenty of pictures, videos, and updates which I loved! I could tell Koda was really happy with her and had a lot of fun which put me at ease! I’d definitely recommend her to anyone I know because of how great she was. I can tell she has a real passion for animals which is so important when you’re leaving your pet with someone!

Alexandria went above and beyond while watching our dog! It's obvious how much she loves dogs and that she's very attentive and responsible. Never worried about our dog for a second while we were gone, could tell she was having a great time from all the pics. We'll be back!

Schedule

Pet care fits perfectly into my weekly routine, which means your pet gets consistent attention every single day. From Monday–Thursday, I work 8 AM–4 PM just minutes from home, so I’m able to pop in during lunch for mid‑day check-ins, potty breaks, or a little extra love. This makes weekday care smooth and reliable- ideal for boarding, walks, drop-ins, and daycare. Fridays are even better: I work remotely, so your pet gets full-day flexibility, extra walks, enrichment time, and a calm, cozy environment. Weekends are completely open, which makes scheduling easy for overnight stays, longer visits, or last‑minute needs. Because my routine is steady and predictable, pets settle in quickly, feel safe, and get the kind of consistent care that helps them relax and enjoy their stay.

Safety, trust & environment

Since I don’t have pets of my own, visiting pets get a quiet, calm space and full attention the moment they arrive. Their routine becomes my routine- familiar feeding times, comfy rest breaks, play sessions, and walks that match their energy and needs. My building includes: • Private pet park- a safe, enclosed spot for pets to stretch out, play, and enjoy fresh air during their stay • Quiet park nearby for peaceful walks- ideal for pets who prefer gentle environments over the hustle of community dog areas • Pet wash room- perfect for muddy paws, quick rinses, and keeping pets fresh and comfortable during their stay • Elevator and stair access- every pet gets an option based on their comfort and mobility needs For boarding/daycare, pets who prefer space from other pets can enjoy a one‑household stay. Your pets get focus, consistency, and a cozy environment made just for them. 💛 Extra Support & Enrichment My partner often spends her days off here, and pets absolutely light up around her. She’s an energetic, intuitive animal lover who brings enrichment, playtime, and companionship. She’s also great at helping maintain personalized care routines, and animals naturally gravitate toward her warm, upbeat personality. Since she’s usually here while I’m at work, your pet always has someone kind, attentive, and experienced nearby. 📝 In Your Home I follow your routines closely- feeding schedules, walk routes, play preferences, training rules, and home expectations. I keep your space tidy, respect the space, and make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and well‑cared‑for while you’re away.

A typical day

Each dog enjoys a walk‑and‑play routine that fits their personality. On nice‑weather days, energetic pups can enjoy a 50‑minute walk‑and‑play session if that’s what they love, plus regular potty breaks throughout the day. For sleepy dogs, seniors, or pups who prefer staying inside, I keep things gentle with cozy indoor time and quick sniff‑breaks so they never feel pushed beyond their comfort level. I naturally adjust to each dog’s rhythm, keeping their day feeling just like home. Whether they’re early risers, slow‑morning snugglers, playful explorers, or gentle nappers, I match their pace and needs so they feel safe, understood, and completely at ease. I also genuinely enjoy walking, and dogs make it nicer; so whether it’s a quick stroll or a longer wander, I never rush heading back inside if they’re enjoying themselves.🐾

Here are a few simple things we’ll go over together, just so I can understand your pet’s routine and what helps them feel comfortable: • Training cues- Words or signals they know • Furniture rules- Whether they’re allowed on couches/beds at home. I’m happy to keep them off if you prefer • Food rules- Whether a little safe human food is okay or off‑limits • Noise sensitivity- Whether loud sounds bother them or they’re generally unfazed • Notable quirks- Habits, triggers, routines, or must‑knows that help me keep them comfortable • Update frequency- How often you’d like to receive updates/photos. I tailor this to whatever feels right for you I gently weave any special needs, medications, or calming preferences into their day so everything feels familiar and comforting. And if they have any “no‑go” zones, allergies, or behaviors to watch for, I keep a mindful, gentle eye on those too- just let me know :)
