“Diane did a fantastic job with our dog, Maggie, even when Maggie had a tough first day being crated and shredded her bed. Will definitely hire Diane again. Easy to communicate with and took great care of our pooch.”

“This was the 3rd time we have booked with Courtney, and as usual everything was 100% perfect when we returned. This was a longer trip than normal for us, and we were very appreciative of her care and attention to our cats. Will definitely continue to book with her.”

“Jackie was a wonderful sitter - helped us out at the last minute and took excellent care of our fur babies! While she was with them, she offered to help in ways we didn’t think about. She kept us up to date and made us at ease while we were away. Thank you!!”

“Lauren has been amazing with our three doodles. They clearly love their visits with her and it is so nice to know someone has eyes on them during the work day. We definitely recommend working with Lauren!!”

“Brittany was absolutely amazing with Love! My fur baby was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and I was able to go on vacation knowing that he would be able to get the subcutaneous fluids that he needed. She was very communicative, paid attention to detail, and was able to troubleshoot as things came up. Would absolutely have Brittany take care of Love again in the future.”

About: I have grown up with animals my entire life. I have such a big heart for our four legged friends and I take great care of them. I recently moved to Cleveland and adopted Winston. He is the best thing to ever happen to me. We love walks, going to the park, and just hanging out having each other as companions. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old and now he has turned into a well mannered young man! He would love to play your your fur baby!! My work schedule varies week by week but i am almost always home by 5pm and I keep my days pretty open on my days off. Winston and I go on about 5 walks a day as long as the Ohio weather permits!! I live in an apartment so I don’t personally have much square footage indoors but no matter the space, I would always try to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. Fortunately, we have a nice dog park and some very pretty neighbors to walk around!
“Michael was great! He was professional, reliable, and communicative throughout the entire process. I felt confident knowing my dog was in good hands, and I appreciated the updates and responsiveness. I would definitely recommend him to other pet owners.”

“Natalie did an amazing job taking care of my two cats while I was gone! Her and my cats clicked instantly so I knew they were in great hands, which was such a relief! I would absolutely call her up again!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Elinor as our cat sitter! She was a great communicator from our initial request through her very last visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away on an extended trip. Our cats don't always come out for strangers, so we were especially happy to see that they warmed up to her enough to come out for treats and even play with her during some of her visits. She sent us cute photos and thoughtful updates each day, which we really appreciated and loved seeing while we were away. Our flight home was unexpectedly delayed, and she was incredibly flexible about adding an extra day with the girls. It was such a relief knowing they were in good hands. We would definitely use her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter!”

“Charlotte was incredibly efficient, always arriving on time and following my instructions. Communication was a breeze; she kept me updated with photos and messages, which put my mind at ease while I was away. Most importantly, my dog absolutely loves her! He was happy and well cared for, I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Alexis made a personal visit to meet my cats ahead of time. They connected with her immediately, and they were also calm and relaxed when I got home. They clearly felt safe in her care, and I will definitely try to book her in the future.”

“Alexis was a great care taker for our dachshund over the weekend! She was very open and receptive to any specific requests we had, shared pictures and videos. Overall our dog appeared to enjoy the time with her and we would definitely reach out again the next time we are out of town.”

“Alyssa was Amazing! Communicated the entire time we were on our trip. Pictures from each drop in visit. Our dog absolutely loved her! Huge relief when traveling when we couldn’t bring our pup with us. Will for sure be reaching out to her again our next trip.”

“Gina was great! I needed a last minute sitter for a family emergency and she was able to accommodate. Brynlee loved her and she sent the most adorable pictures! I would definitely use her again!”

“Kim was amazing! Our doggies love her and she was always on top of sending pictures/videos and updates. She made us feel like we didn’t have to worry about our fur babies while being out of town. She came prepared and asked questions about how to care for our doggies. She really treats them as if they were her own and it shows by how much our dogs enjoyed her watching them. Don’t hesitate to book with Kim! We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Randy was terrific! He was very responsive, dependable and took great care of our two cats. He played with them, fed them and cleaned their litter box. He went above and beyond!”

Kim took wonderful care of our two senior cats while we were away, and she also went above and beyond by taking care of a few extra tasks we had requested, like watering our plants. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our home and our cats were in such good hands. We would absolutely trust Kim again the next time we travel. Thanks so much, Kim!

So fantastic to have Erin able to provide TWICE DAILY insulin medication and playful care of our older diabetic cat Midnight. All the cute photo updates kept us connected to our beloved kitty. We also really appreciated Erin's close attention to learning about Midnight's special needs in advance. Thanks again to Erin!!!

Catherine took good care of my bunnies while I was on a trip. She put good attention to their care and made sure they were eating well and comfortable!! She also communicated very clearly and promptly which made me feel at ease that they were in good hands. Thank you Catherine!!

Kate did a wonderful job taking care of our young cat, Ruby, while we were away on vacation. She communicated clearly throughout our trip, including letting us know if her arrival times needed to shift. She quickly won Ruby over with plenty of playtime, snuggles, and attention, which gave us real peace of mind. She also went above and beyond to water our plants during the heat wave which we really appreciated. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat. We would happily recommend Kate to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful pet sitter!

Amanda is so awesome, attentive, and sweet! She came for a meet and greet before watching our dog and she made sure she got to know him as well as learn everything I had to tell her about our dog and his routine. Her drop in visit was thorough, with regular updates and communicaton and a couple of pictures. We came back to a happy, calm dog on a busy weekend. We are grateful for Amanda and definitely recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
