Information Lauren D. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know how your dog's temperament with other dogs, other people, and children is. Would you like them kept away from others (cross the street to avoid other people/dogs) If someone comes up and asks to pet them, is that okay or not okay? Do they have any allergies, fears, or tendencies that I should know about?
A typical day
I live less than a 10 minute walk and a 3 minute drive from a huge park that I take my own dog to on a pretty regular basis. There's tons of room for your furry buddy to romp around, and plenty of water fountains for me to collect water for he or she in a bowl if they become parched from playing. I also live in a very safe neighborhood with tons of sidewalks to go on a long walk. If we're closer to your home, I will make sure I go to only the safest places, recommended by you or researched by me. In the summer, I'd be happy to take them to the lake and play in the water, or put together a kiddie pool for them to play around in (my dogs love it.) I’m equipped with everything I need to keep a dog safe during different weather conditions where we are walking or playing outside and I always have extra water/potty bags/treats on hand.

Pet care experience
I've been an animal lover all my life, but dogs have a very special place in my heart. I've rescued most of my dogs growing up, volunteered at local shelters, and rescued many dogs I've found in danger, finding them a good new home or helping them to be returned to their worried families (I’ve lived in both heavily populated cities and countrysides with lots of strays). I’m currently a dog walker & sitter and I have experience with many different breeds and sizes. I have experience dealing with extremely nervous, docile dogs that need a little extra care and patience. I like to think that I have a very soothing voice that they respond well to. I also have experience dealing with high energy dogs that need a lot of exercise and tiring out. I understand the importance of making sure that they are living a happy, healthy life, and not just sitting around bored all day. I love being around dogs and I've been told I have a very special way with them. They bring me as much joy as I do them. I also really enjoy narrating our time together/singing/just being silly and talking to dogs because it seems to make them enjoy our time together even more and builds a stronger bond. My own dog has all of his vaccines including Lyme disease / canine flu and I keep him very clean, so if yours ever happens to come in contact with him (say if you’d like me to bring him along for a sitting to have a play date with your own pup/s), he will be safe.
