“Sarah is the best!!! She's watched our skittish and sensitive little kitty Phoebe twice now over the last couple of years and it's been really awesome. Sarah sends us notes and pictures every day with detailed updates on how Phoebe is holding up and she does everything she can to make Phoebe comfortable and happy. We know our kitty girl is in very good care with Sarah which is a seriously big relief on every single day of our trips. We're officially recurring clients and we hope she'll be available for our next trip too!!! Thank you Sarah!!!”

“Logan was fantastic! Logan was punctual with drop ins and followed instructions to the T. Logan is careful and reliable and gave us regular updates and also let us know promptly when there were slight hiccups with our arrangements (that occurred through no fault of Logan's). Logan has been fantastic and continues to be and has our highest recommendation!”

“Patricia takes wonderful care of our cat while every time we are away. She is reliable and trustworthy. We have booked with her several times and appreciate the daily updates and pictures. Thank you Patti!!”

“Stephanie has been absolutely fantastic with our ‘nervous around new things’ dog. She was quick to earn his trust and get him out of his shell. We love knowing that he is in such great hands when she’s around!”

“Lauren was fantastic! She was very attentive to my kitty,Mango! She sent great pictures and spent quality time with her, I could tell Mango was happy! She also took great care of my plants! She was easy to communicate with and made me feel so comfortable being gone. I highly recommend Lauren for your pet sitting needs and will definitely use her again!”

“Rachel is the best! She was communicative, on-time, and flexible. She made my dog feel comfortable while I was away and provided excellent care. I will certainly book with her again for any pet care needs.”

“Did a great job dropping in on my kitties! They have a specific feeding routine that requires measuring out raw food with a scale and dosing medication into one of their meals. She handled both tasks with ease and seemed incredibly comfortable with the routine. She even went the extra mile by turning my plant lights on and off! She is very friendly, offers highly competitive pricing, and left me feeling completely confident that my cats were in good hands. I look forward to booking with her again!”

“Isabella did a great job checking in on our cat. She was timely and always provided photos. She has great common sense and was quick to address an unforeseen situation after getting locked out of the house.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have been caring for them since I was young, so being around them feels natural to me. I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, bathing, and giving their dogs attention and exercise. I’m reliable, patient, and make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I wanted to become a Conservation Biologist at one point of my life instead I went into Public Health! My schedule is flexible, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting, and I make sure they get lots of attention, playtime, and care while you’re away. I'm a PhD student and do a lot of work from home. Live close to campus. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment in my pet-friendly apartment, with access to a small yard and nearby Himmel Park for regular walks and exercise. I carefully follow all care instructions, monitor pets closely, and ensure they feel secure and comfortable at all times. I'm a traveler and can't have my own pets but a temporary pet companion is always welcome and adored!
“Yelena was great with my pup! He needed some love while I was out for a long day and everything went very smoothly. He was quick to warm up to her on our meet-and-greet, and I got plenty of pictures during her quick visit. It was nice not having to worry about my dog while I was out!”

“Kathryn took excellent care of our dogs and our kitty. She provided detailed information following each visit, and provided photos as well. I was able to relax and knew that our furry family members were well taken care of. I would not hesitate to utilize her services in the future.”

“First time with Albamaria. Thank you for taking good care of my girl! Everything was great when I got home and I love the Rover cards and notes. On time and attentive. Followed instructions. Will definitely book again!”

“Kailey took great care of my pack. We had an emergency come up mid-trip and they were more than willing to adjust on the fly and add days which really saved us! We will absolutely use them again.”

“El was so sweet and a wonderful sitter for my kitty over the weekend. Excellent communication and lots of photos in the daily updates. I came back to a very tidy apartment and happy cat. I would definitely book her again!”

“10/10 recommend! Allison was great! She responded almost immediately to my initial request and was extremely easy to work with. Even though we gave her a lot of instructions (we’re first time puppy owners), she followed all of them and treated our pup so well. She was also very flexible. Our pup had an accident so Allison bathed her and adjusted her visit times to avoid another accident which was very helpful and gave us peace of mind. All in all, we will definitely use Allison’s services again in the future.”

About: Hi! I've had my cat Olive for 11 years and my dog Bel for 3 years. I have also taken care of close to 70 foster animals mostly kittens, with a few medical fosters, and behavioral issues along the way. I have taken courses on behavioral training for dogs as my own dog is reactive towards dogs, so I am very familiar with dog reactivity. I currently run a small 1 man business from my home and have control over my schedule to provide care to other animals regularly. I also foster other animals from time to time. My own dog is reactive and high energy and needs 3 walks a day usually with a lot of play. My cat is a large maincoon that requires a strict diet and care regimen to keep her pre-diabetes in check.
“Emily was incredible. She came over before my trip to meet my two cats and get a lay of the land. She explained the entire process and answered every question I had (plus some!). She was great with them and helped keep my house in tip-top shape while I was out of town. I would highly recommend her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tucson
Mya did an amazing job with our pups! They’re a little anxious/high strung, but she was very intuitive with them and has a naturally calming energy that helped them be at ease right away. We are always nervous to leave our babies with someone new, but she is so good with them and communicative with us, which really gives us peace of mind. She was also very generous with her time, taking extra care to go out of her way to do a meet and greet and get to know them before we left. I would highly recommend Mya to anyone looking for kind, compassionate care for their pups. Mya is punctual, responsible, and skilled at what she does. It is clearly more than just a job for her, and you can tell she really cares. Thank you Mya!!

Lauren is incredibly sweet! I will be booking her again for my next trip. Despite my one cat being on the anxious side, she was able to win over his trust. :) Each day she took pictures & left updates about my two kitties. Thank you so much Lauren! I really appreciate you!

Mari was absolutely amazing with my sweet kitty Meli! Her updates were super thoughtful, long, and detailed, and it was clear she took such great care of her - it also made me feel so much better since I missed Mel so much! Meli can be really shy and usually takes a while to warm up to new people, but she really came out of her shell with Mari in just 3 days, which says so much!! I felt completely comfortable knowing Meli was in such caring hands. Mari is the best, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter! (':

She was amazing! Pictures and notes every visit! She let me know everything going on, sent me pictures of not only my pup but of how the house looked, picked up after my clumsy dog and was on top of communication! I absolutely recommend Carmen and will use her again if I’m out of town!

Isabella was a joy to see each morning when she came to give Bentley his shot. She was punctual and kind to our dogs. Bentley can be very wiggly when getting his shot and eye cream but Isabella was patient and persistent in getting the job done.We would highly recommend her.

- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
