“Darlene took phenomenal care of my little guy while I was in town for work. He seemed to have the best time and was genuinely excited to walk in her door. She even convinced him to eat (he’s very picky) and sent photos to let me know he was doing ok! Next time we’re in town we will be coming back for sure!! Thank you!!!”

“Melissa provided wonderful home for my Westie! He was welcomed as part of her family and was obviously very well cared for. This was my first experience with Rover.com & I was very nervous until I met Melissa after interviewing a few others. She made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog for the weekend & sent several updates each day. I don’t think he wanted to come home! Highly recommend Melissa!”

“Vicky took such great care of Beckett while we were traveling, and I especially appreciated the photos and updates throughout the trip. Would absolutely board with her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was little, whether that was taking care of our cats and dogs or watching a neighbors pet. I worked in the veterinary field for a couple of years and a technician so I am comfortable administering any medications. I am open to sitting dogs of all ages, I just ask that if they aren’t potty trained to please provide a kennel. I have a border collie who loves to make friends so we hope to see your furry friends soon! I am currently a PhD student here at the U of A. I do have classes and work during the weekdays but I am available after 5pm. On the weekends me and my dog take it easy and stay in. I do live in an apartment complex. There are two dog parks present in the complex if you would want me to take your pet to run some energy out (but totally understand if you would prefer no visits to the dog park). I am able to crate any pet that needs to be I just ask that you supply the crate since I do not have one at this time. I do have a 7yr old border collie who loves to meet new friends and is very patient with energetic breeds. I take her on a long walk at least once a day and will definitely take any pet I watch on a long walk too (a girl has to get her steps in).
“Marraya and her mom were very accommodating and helpful when our other sitter fell through the day we were leaving on our trip. Our pup was taken care of and we received daily updates. Highly recommend”

“Shawna and Ethan took great care of Luna as always, with fun videos and responsive messaging. Luna loves going to her "vacation resort" and pulls on the leash to get to their front door faster when I drop her off. :-)”

“We have used Daniel multiple times now, and I can confidently say he is truly one of a kind. Daniel is such a kind, warm, and caring person, and it clearly shows in the way he cares for the dogs entrusted to him. Our dog, Klay, absolutely loves him and he especially loves spending time with Daniel’s dog, Linus. Klay is always so happy and excited when we arrive at Daniel’s home. It has become a place of joy for him. In fact, today when I picked Klay up, I could see the sadness in his eyes as we drove away. He kept looking back at Daniel’s house, and as his mom, I know that look , he was going to miss being there. That alone tells me everything I need to know. Klay is always well taken care of, loved, cuddled, played with, and treated like family. With Daniel, I never have to worry. I know my dog is in the best hands. To any dog parents looking for someone you can truly trust. Daniel provides so much love, attention, playtime, tickles, and genuine care. Your fur babies will be safe, happy, and deeply loved. Thank you so much, Daniel. We appreciate you more than you know!💜”

“Karma was a happy camper!!! I got the most adorable daily pictures and updates, it was so clear that Karma was having the best vacation!! Couldn’t have asked for anyone better 🥰 thank you!!”

“It was our first time using Rover. Our year old dog Sandee loved being with them. They have a sweet dog named Preston which she enjoyed playing with. Carina and Santiago's two daughters also help with the pet care. Felicia even made Sandee a couple handmade flowers for her collar. So sweet! They also offer for a small additional fee pick up and drop off of your pet if needed. They treat their Rover pets as part of the family. :) We will be regulars with them!!”

“Thanks for taking such great care of Clancy again Lara. I love all the photos and videos you supply. It is such a comfort knowing he’s having as good a time as we are! See you the next time we plan a get away.”

“Amazing sitter + family! I have booked with Asia twice now and it’s been a smooth, trusting process everytime. They do have another dog, (which I was nervous about) but Sienna is a sweetheart - her and my dog play very well together. Even when I had a family emergency, she accepted quickly! 10s across the board for Asia!!!”

“My dog Marge had the time of her life staying overnight with Jenifer! When I picked her up the next day, she didn’t want to leave! I’ll definitely leave Margie with Jenifer if I need to go out of town again!!”

“Christie and Daniel were the absolute best with our girl Bella. It was amazing having someone always home with her, to play, walk her and cuddle with her on the couch. We received so many updates while we were on our trip which kept our minds at ease. We definitely will be booking with them again! We are so happy we found them♥️”

About: I've taken care of dogs since my family brought home our first Boxer when I was 13. I have extensive experience caring for dogs of varying size and age. I am able to provide bathing and brushing, manage specialized diets, and medication delivery. I have experience with dogs experiencing anxiety and with allergies, and have managed care for dogs recovering from accidents or serious illness. I am usually available between 6-9am and 5pm-10pm Monday to Friday and always available weekends. I am currently working part-time Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm, and Friday 9am-1pm. I love providing morning and evening care on weekdays, including drop-ins and walks. I offer boarding occasionally during Holidays or occasional weekends, to ensure pets in my care have my full attention and support for their needs. I only occasionally offer services from my own home, however I always aim to make the most of the time I have with each pet in my care. I try to maintain the routine of each pet as much as possible when their owner is away, and to provide an enriching environment attuned to the needs of each pet. I love to play with each animal and provide walks as needed, in addition to maintaining a clean and safe environment. I aim to provide structure and adhere to the expectations of each pet owner in addressing the dietary, cleanliness, and activity of each individual animal. Food containers, toys, yards, litterboxes, puppy pads, crates, and water sources are maintained and cleaned as needed to ensure the wellbeing and health of pets, as I would do for my own dog and cats.
“Patrick was so amazing with our pup! Fiji spent 10 days with him over the holidays. They went on walks, park adventures, and explored Tucson events every day, and played catch with carrots and treats every night. We got daily pictures and updates, and it was lovely seeing our pup being so spoiled. We miss her terribly when we have to leave her behind, so it is great to know she was being so well loved. Patrick was sad when we picked her up and let us know how much he enjoyed her and would miss her. THAT's the kind of person you want caring for your beloved pet when you are away. I hope Patrick is available again next time we travel. Thank you, Patrick!!”

“Cameron and Tyson are gems! My dad passed away unexpectedly and I was really stressed about finding someone new to watch our Emma girl on semi short notice. Fortunately, we found Cameron and Tyson and all of my nerves went away. Emma was immediately happy to be in their big back yard and settled in really quickly. We received daily updates with the cutest photos and videos that were so fun to receive! It was easy to see she was having fun and felt right at home in their space. When we got back she was over the moon to see us, but also excited to show us her two new humans! I can’t recommend Cameron and Tyson enough. 💙”

“David took great care of Birdie! She was very happy and healthy when I picked her up. I would highly recommend David and hopefully he will be available in the future when I need someone to watch her!”

“Loren was amazing and put some of my anxiety at ease with our high energy aussie. She sent daily recaps and pictures of our dogs. It looked like they had a wonderful time and were so happy/tired when picked up. She communicates quickly with any questions/concerns. Would love to have our dogs stay with her again!”

Elizabeth took care of my Coco while I was away for 10 days. It was our first time boarding and I was a bit nervous, but Elizabeth was very kind and patient with us. We first did a test run by doing a doggy day care to see how Coco would react. My Coco ended up having a great time and loved the company of Ernie and Mylo, seems like they have been friends for a lifetime. During my trip Elizabeth sent pictures and was very communicative. Coco got a lil something on his paw and Elizabeth let me know immediately and soaked his paw with Epsom salt and bandaged him up which I really appreciated. Please note this had nothing to do with her care, my pup is prone to growing cysts and it might be what happened here by the looks of it. I think coco has learned a lot from her pups & so happy he gets along with both of them really well. I feel so relieved that I can seek her services again when I have to travel again and know that my pup will have fun and be taken good care of.

If I could give a hundred stars, I would! Chris was AMAZING with my sweet boy! I have never had to leave him before and we are very dependent on each other since I work from home, we are together 24/7. I was so concerned about how stressed he would be, plus he recently was diagnosed with Idiopathic Vestibular Disease which makes him a little unsteady and dizzy. I was so worried about his ability to navigate a strange place with someone he didn’t know. I was literally sick with worry! But Chris was the best sitter I ever could’ve hoped for. He was patient and kind and gentle with my beautiful boy and I feel as though he genuinely cared for him. He was excellent with sending me updates about how he was adapting during my 10 day family trip to Scotland. He sent me so many wonderful pictures and videos, and was always very responsive if I was just missing my boy and wanted to check in on him. I never had a delay in response from him, I never had to worry that something was wrong for even a second. I’d never dream of trusting Otis with anyone other than Chris from here on out. I can’t recommend him enough! Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart! I am so grateful 🙏🏻

This was our first time leaving Koda with anyone and Regina and Michael did a great job with Koda. They took him on dog walks, swimming and had lots of play time which Koda needs to expend all his playful, puppy energy. I appreciate Regina’s daily updates and photos. Thank you so much!!

We had just moved to Tucson and I contacted Ron because of his great reviews. And he absolutely lived up to them! Murphy is very protective around me and I appreciate Ron for understanding that and giving Murphy a chance to settle in. I also really appreciated the regular photos of Murphy playing with Ron’s sweet dogs, and the messages talking about how Murphy was doing. I picked up Murphy and she looked happy and satisfied, which is always what I want when I drop Murphy off. I am glad I trusted Ron with Murphy

Lacey picked my pups up from the destination and took great care of them, I had to extend their stay by a week last minute and she was more than willing to accommodate and care for them extra time. Very responsive, and glad my pups were in good hands! She also handled one of my dogs daily medication very well.

Sylvie was fantastic! She was able to take my two week booking on short notice after my regular sitter canceled and I'm going to make Sylvie my new go-to sitter. She was super patient with my nervous dog and got my baby comfortable with her home and her dog very smoothly. She was also very understanding when my return flight was delayed and I couldn't get my dog until the next day.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
