“Kay is a great sitter and everything is as stated in her profile. We have used her 3 times and every time our dog seems happy and well taken care of. Our dog happily runs in her house each time we have dropped her off, so I know that she likes going and is not afraid. I highly recommend her and will continue to use her in the future.”

“Christina saved my life! 3 days before Open Heart Surgery, I was without a sitter for my Poodle, Dusty. PANIC set in ,along with plenty of tears. I searched the internet and found Rover and Christina. I was nervous. Will he be ok. Have fun. Be loved. I didn't want him with a lot of other dogs....just in case. Christina called and within 5 minutes she had my nerves vanished and I was sold. We met and she is the sweetest, kind, and loving lady. Dusty loved her and her dog from the start. Off they went to have fun and I could get my surgery. Received pictures almost daily and when I got him back my dog was a happy, vibrant dog. He had lots of fun. Went on walks. Played with his new found buddy whom he already missed too. Rover and Christina literally saved my life and I am forever grateful! The best place to leave my fur baby Ever. Christina was my angel sent from heaven to rescue me and spoil my Dusty with fun, love and kisses Thank You!”

“This was Dixie's 3rd trip to Casa Barbara. As always Dixie got lots of love and pampering. I did not have to worry about her care for one minute. Thanks Barbara. See you on my next trip to Tucson.”

“We really got a good feeling from Regina, she's very caring and figured out some foods I didn't even know my dog liked to stimulate his appetite. He can be so picky! Daily pics and feedback made us feel secure that he was happy and healthy. Thank you Regina!!”

“Jose kept my cat for a long weekend, and I couldn’t be happier. Jose gave me updates and sent pictures. My sweet girl is shy and cautious so it takes a day or so for her to warm up. By the third day, she was sunbathing on her side which means she was very comfortable. He provided a calm safe space for her. I will definitely use him again in the future and highly recommend him. Jose, thank you again!”

“Shes amazing! My puppy was so happy and exhausted after leaving him with the sitter! It was awesome that he got a bath right before pick up! Will highly recommend and will book again.”

“Gail was amazing with my elderly diabetic cat. She was able to customize a private little space for my senior kitty to be safe and secure. She also sent periodic pictures and updates to put my mind at ease!”

“Cashmere was well taken care of by Ana. My little dog got to play with Ana’s little dog. The socialization was great. Cashmere was taken on walks in the neighborhood. Ana did a great job communicating to me on a regular basis. She sent pictures and video often. We had a god experience.”

Amazing dog sitter and lovely family. I have a very shy little dog and Lorena and her family were very patient with him. She sent lots of pictures and played with our dogs. She even gave one of my dogs a toy to bring home because he loved it so much! 10/10 Definitely recommend!

We had to find a sitter on very short notice, and Devin & Hailey were absolute lifesavers. They responded quickly, were flexible with our timing, and made the entire process stress-free from the start. Our dog Boomer settled in comfortably right away, which says a lot. We really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and the clear care and attention given throughout the stay. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our dog was in such great hands. We’re incredibly grateful for the last-minute accommodation and would not hesitate to book again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone dependable, responsive, and genuinely caring.

Lori was wonderful!! She took excellent care of Gwen, sent updates with pictures and made us feel comfortable right from the initial meet and greet! It was so nice to find someone who we can trust to take care of our girl while we are out of town. We will absolutely leave Gwen with Lori again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
