I have a large back yard that is fenced in with a secure gate. The yard is dirt and turf with plants dispersed around. The full-length back patio is always shady and dog pools are always full of water. There is also a separate garden area that also doubles as a smaller yard. Desert landscape backs the property beyond the fences. My 11yo female golden retriever is very laid back with company and is a good companion. Dogs will be fed separately always. We often go on walks, to the wash or other desert trails in my area. We love outside time! When your dog comes to my home for the first time, I like to introduce them to things one at a time. First, the back yard (just the dog, their owner and me). Then after they've sniffed around to their liking I bring out my dog for them to meet. Next your dog and mine (and their humans) can go inside my home to become familiar with the indoor surroundings. If you and you pup are satisfied with it all then we are set to book a fun stay for your pet!

It is helpful to know about your dog's preferred sleeping arrangements (crate, dog bed, etc), any dietary needs, medications, etc. so I can be prepared to accommodate them to their comfort level. It is also helpful to know about any behaviors I should be aware of ahead of time to help them settle in during their visit.
A typical day
Being physically active is part of my every day routine, from daily walks, runs, hikes or bike rides. Your dog will join in (as much as any physical limitations allow) on these activities to get exercise and outdoor time. We will also visit the park across the street. It is gated, secure and a great place for dogs to let their extra zoomies out, other than the back yard. My kids love to play with the dogs too. Your dog will have plenty of socializing with kids and any other doggy friends that we are hosting.

Pet care experience
I grew up on and still manage a family farm, caring for all animals, including many dogs in all their ages and stages of life. I have trained puppies, introduced new dogs to each other, and care for friend's dogs. Being sensitive to your dog's needs are priority.

I live in central Tucson. Maggie (lab mix) and I have now used Jessica numerous times. The most recent stay was for a full six days while I was in NYC. That's a really long time for me to consider boarding Maggie and I would never do it without having complete confidence in the boarder. Jessica kept me well informed of how Maggie was doing on a daily basis with text and photos. Maggie has been with me for twelve years so although she cannot literally tell me about her stay and therefore I do not "know know" exactly how she feels, I know. I have no doubt that she sincerely enjoyed being in Jessica's home (and roaming her small farm). I think she was sad to leave when I picked her up. There is no need to look further than Jessica B. on "Rover" if you are in the Tucson area. Very highly recommend!
Jessica was awesome took great care of My furry friend and would definitely recommend her. I will definitely be going back to her when I need someone to care for my pup.
Communicative and flexible! I’m always nervous about leaving my pup, but her frequent updates soothed my worries, and Finch had an absolutely fantastic time with her. Definitely booking again!
