“They were great! My dog was clearly very happy the whole time and they sent plenty of pictures and videos so I knew he was comfortable. Communication was excellent. Their house is lovely and all dogs would have a great time there. Would book again if needed, highly recommend.”

“Ashley took great care of Luna. She was very prompt in communication and even sent updates/videos of Luna having a blast. I am happy to trust Ashley with my fur baby and we will definitely be returning customers.”

“Kat took excellent care of my little Reina. I received updates on her quite frequently. Reina was taken on several walks and appeared to get a long well with Kat’s small pups. Thank you for all the care!”

“Jennifer was wonderful! She cared for our dogs like they were her own, giving them so much love, attention, and pampering. It was such a relief to know they were safe and happy while we were away. She went above and beyond. Our pups came home relaxed, content, and maybe a little spoiled—in the best way! I can’t recommend her enough and will absolutely be booking with her again.”

“What a wonderful experience we had with Dave and Becky! Lots of pictures, stories, and adventures! We knew she would be very happy in their beautiful home and huge backyard! She will miss the squirrels and helping Dave with the new floors though! :) So very grateful we found Dave and Becky and will definitely use their services again!!”

“Jose kept my cat for a long weekend, and I couldn’t be happier. Jose gave me updates and sent pictures. My sweet girl is shy and cautious so it takes a day or so for her to warm up. By the third day, she was sunbathing on her side which means she was very comfortable. He provided a calm safe space for her. I will definitely use him again in the future and highly recommend him. Jose, thank you again!”

“This was our first Rover experience which we were hesitant to go into. Daniel was so thoughtful and communicative, answered all our questions ahead of time and during our pup meet and greet. He was easy to reach and sent lots of sweet photos of our pup so we were never worried. Our dog takes Valley Fever meds 2x daily and it was no problem for Daniel to meet ours and the dogs needs during our 3 week vacation. Would definitely book with him again!”

“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. When we came back we found that our dog had such a good time that I'm not sure she wanted to leave! Needless to say that Cynthia will be our first choice to watch our dog whenever the need arises! Your dog will be in good hands.”

“First-time dog owner here, and we needed someone to care for our puppy while we went out of town. Roxi is a four-month-old Rottweiler who is still learning a lot — and after just one long weekend with Gidette, I learned so much more about our own dog. Gidette went above and beyond. She sent daily pictures and status updates that gave us real peace of mind, and she even helped Roxi start going to the bathroom outside instead of relying on the pads. That kind of attention and care, especially with a young puppy, meant the world to us. I'm so grateful for Gidette's help and will absolutely be using her again anytime we have to leave town. Highly recommend!”

“She was really flexible with drop off / pick up times! Great communication and I really loved the cute picture of Karma she sent! She clips her own tag to the puppers collar for addition safety and peace of mind which I really appreciated!!”

“We have never used Rover before, but Miriam was wonderful. She took in our 2 dogs as if they were hers. She played with the guys and worked with them to get them to eat (which is no small chore with our guys). She has a wonderful house with a great back yard and our dogs made themselves at home. She sent us pictures and video's of the guys while we were on vacation and shared how they were progressing. It is obvious that she loves dogs and I would not hesitate to book her again if we went out of town. She went above and beyond in her caring for the dogs.”

“Carina was wonderful! We’ve never left our dog anywhere before so we weren’t sure what to expect, and she took very good care of him. He got lots of attention and she was very accommodating with his desire to be around her all the time. I got some photos and updates while we were done which was wonderful. I’d definitely ask here to watch our dog again!”

“Dana is wonderful. I left my dog with her while I was out of the country. The WiFi was less reliable than expected at most of my accommodations so I was unable to communicate as often as I would have liked. However, I didn’t worry about my dog at all during the periods of no communication. I knew she was safe and well looked after with Dana. I would recommend Dana’s services to a friend. Thank you for taking such great care of my girl! 🐶 💕”

“Courtney was extremely accommodating, especially on a short notice! I received some photos and videos throughout the stay and my dog had such a wonderful time playing in her beautiful yard along with her dogs and family. She was in great hands!”

“Jess and her family took great care for Sophie She sent pictures everyday and let me know how things were going. I highly recommend Jess and will definitely rebook with her in the future.”

“Darlene watched our little Sophie for 5 days, she sent pictures and communicated fast and friendly. Her environment is safe and dog friendly. She treated Sophie as part of her family. She took excellent care of our 12yr old pup, and I highly recommend her!”

“Loren was fantastic! She was very accommodating and patient, and wrote beautiful check-ins to help us feel comfortable while away from our pups! One of our pooches was not the best-behaved and Loren was very calm and reassuring.”

My dog Hermie had a wonderful time with Athena! In all the pictures she sent, he was grinning from ear to ear 😁🐶 She took him on many walks and made sure he was comfortable. Athena took great care of Hermie and we are excited to use her service in the future!

Amazing sitter! Boarded my dog for about a week, communication was clear, friendly, and professional. Provided regular updates, photos, and messages that really gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog was clearly happy, comfortable, and well cared for. They catered to my dogs shyness and went above and beyond to make sure my pet felt safe and loved. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend Eleanor to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
