“Kellie has cared for our Izzy on multiple occasions and this was a last minute request due to a family emergency. She is always prompt to respond and sends great photo updates. She takes such good care of our pup and the smiles we see from the play photos show how much Izzy loves when Kellie visits!”

“Griselda brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the table. I came home to happy cats who showed no signs of being stressed over us being gone. Will definitely book with her again.”

“Pam was professional, respectful, and provided detailed updates after each drop-in visit so we knew our kitty was in good hands. I really appreciated her services and would gladly recommend her to watch your pet(s).”
“This was a last-minute booking and I’m so thankful that Danielle was available to watch my pups! She did a fantastic job. Most importantly, she followed up the day I was to get home to make sure my pups were getting their evening feeding. Thank you Danielle!”

“Amanda is great! Our senior dog, Luna, can be a little finicky and loves Amanda. We can tell when we get home that Luna has been well taken care of and our house is in great shape. We have used her for house sitting and drop in visits and couldn’t recommend her more.”

“Danika is very great with dogs and you can tell she absolutely loves dogs. Both of my pups were very excited to meet her initially during the meet and greet, and I’m sure they were very excited to see her and go for a walk with her”

“Melayna is amazing! She is very patient with my super hyper dog. She has this great calming effect and my pup took to her immediately! She played with him and worked with him (he likes to jump) and even sent me pictures while I was gone. You will not go wrong booking with her. We will definitely be requesting Melayna again. Thank you so much 😊”

About: I have watched pets for friends, family, and others off and on for about 4 years. I have helped raise 2 puppies with my family and have aided in end of life care for 2 family dogs that passed away from old age. I have one dog right now, so I am familiar with the ins and outs of having a pet and what that entails. I also did a brief stint at a doggy daycare, so I am comfortable with dog handling, feeding, routines, cleaning up and anything else needed. If I’m being honest, I really don’t do much and I am trying to do more! I am interested in possibly working with animals as a career and I feel like this could be a great stepping stone. And i would also love something to fill my time! I love animals and getting to know them and their parent/s. I have a dog of my own that I help take care of with my mom and brother. I’m excited to make new furry friends. I will be taking care of your pet the same way I would mine! Feed and walk on whatever schedule is best and play as much as they would like. I also don’t yell at my dog, meaning I don’t raise my voice if she does something wrong, I don’t feel like that’s helpful or positive, so no raising voices to other pups either. I am eager to learn anything I need to in order to properly take care of your furry family!
“We couldn’t be happier with the care Rachael provided for our two felines. They are usually very hesitant around new people and prefer to hide, but Rachael’s patience and dedication quickly won them over. After only a few visits, they were literally eating from her hand. Rachael was thorough and consistent in her care, sending prompt daily recaps that included a checklist of each visit—food, litter, playtime, etc.—and thoughtful photos. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and her updates gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It’s evident that Rachael treats pet sitting as a profession, not a side job. We felt completely confident leaving our pets in her care and will absolutely be using her again for future trips.”

“We have had Alison babysit our dogs on a number of occasions over the last few years. I cannot say enough about her excellent service and excellent character. We are so very pleased and blessed to have her watch over our dogs.”

“Alyssa is amazing! She has taken care of our 4 kitties twice now. She’s punctual and truly cares about your pets! She takes the time to get to know your animals and is very communicative should anything come up. We will use her again for our next trip.”

“We had a great experience with Lauren. She came by to let out my dogs Presley and Kovu and took such good care of them. She was reliable and communicative. The dogs seemed happy and comfortable with her. We really appreciated the updates and care she gave them and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Victoria was quick to respond to our request and provided us with great updates (including photos) - she is very professional and we recommend her if you are looking for a dog-sitter.”

“Allison was great with our fur babies and took extra care of our house while we were gone too -- she cleaned the pets' food bowls and brought in our trash cans too. Thank you!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oro Valley. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
