Wonderful and always communicated and sent pictures. Have already rebooked with her. Cant say thanks enough for her willingness to drive to a decent remote area of Arizona to help with my dog and cat. It takes a lot of stress off regarding my busy schedule.

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of animals, as well as had plenty of my own— I work remotely and have pretty much infinite time to spend with your furry (scaly, feathery) friends! I’ve lived in friends’ houses for over two weeks to look after their animals; I’m generally pretty quiet and allow the pets come to me, but I’m happy to do tricks with them or take them out for runs and adventures when requested! I love taking lots of pictures of your pets to send you, and keeping you up to date on their health and adventures! Have also provided care for senior animals multiple times, and dealt with health crises while the owner was absent. Happy to do dogs or cats, but can also handle rodents, reptiles, etc. Have previously had: rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles/tortoises, dogs, cats, and fish. As long as you are willing to demonstrate the care of the animal, I am willing to take on pretty much anything, though! I love hanging out with animals while I’m working— they’re such good office-mates! Of course I have to leave occasionally during overnight stays, but your pets are my priority, always! Whatever attention they need, I will give them, and I will always keep my eyes and ears open for any mischief happening! I like to go through your routine with you and then try to keep everything as close to normal for your pets as possible! They’ll already be missing you— they don’t need any more stress! Food and water bowls refilled on time, walks given regularly, and as many pets, kisses, and photoshoots as required!

We used alternating "day-care" and "drop-in" for the last 3 weeks. Kaitlynn is very responsive, always on time, and taking very good care of our dog. Pictures and notes follow immediately after a visit or the whole day stay. Our dog is happy meeting his new and old friends weekly.

She was amazing! Pictures and notes every visit! She let me know everything going on, sent me pictures of not only my pup but of how the house looked, picked up after my clumsy dog and was on top of communication! I absolutely recommend Carmen and will use her again if I’m out of town!

About: I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals of all kinds from energetic puppies to senior dogs, barn cats, and even livestock. That experience taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly in unexpected situations, and provide gentle, consistent care. I also picked up a lot of practical skills, including how to support animals through stress, illness, or injury. Whether your dog needs extra patience, a structured routine, or just some good old-fashioned love and playtime, I’ve got them covered. I truly understand animals and I treat every pet like part of the family. Caring for animals has always been part of my everyday life. Whether it’s early morning walks, playtime, or keeping a routine for feeding and medication, I naturally build my day around what pets need. I’m used to adjusting my schedule to fit each animal’s routine whether it’s a puppy who needs extra attention or a senior dog who needs a slower pace. Pet care isn’t just a task for me it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day. I follow each pet’s routine closely whether I’m in my home or yours. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs like meds or crate training. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in a clean and calm environment.

About: I have had dogs all throughout my life. I care for them when they are sick. Take them out on long runs or walks depending on age. I will carry a dog to take it to the bathroom because there arthritis is bad. I will clean after a dog if it makes an accident. I will clean teeth and brush the dog for good health. Even train if it is required. And sleep on the floor with them when they get lonely. And sit at a park on a cool day just because we can. Explore different parts of the neighborhood for something different in the routine. Or just sit at home and be lazy together and bond with one a other on the floor.

About: As a graduate of the University of Arizona with a BS in wildlife conservation I have a special place in my heart for all animals. I've been brought up most of my life with animals, mostly dogs and cats. Their company, presence is special and something I have and will enjoy for the rest of my life. I have a Staffordshire bull terrier and my dad has two cats of his own I adore. Looking to work in my future as a game warden and have experience completing a veterinary assistant certification at pima community college and a certification from durrel on completing a endangered species recovery course in the United kingdom (jersey channel islands). This is something I've been looking forward doing for a while; having a wonderful time looking after such wonderful pets. Simply when an animal is happy I'm happy. I will always take time for your pet as they deserve as much time and attention as possible which I can definitely give to them. Make sure they are always safe and having a great time with lots of play and love, they are family and will treat them as such.

About: Professional dog trainer of over two decades seeks clients as she moves to Arizona from California. After 25 years of working with a variety of animals from farm animals to domesticated animals to wild animals, I brought my worth in the Dog training community animals, I hope that you understand that I am only keeping my prices high because that’s what I’m worth. I’m not worth $12 a walk. I’m worth more than that. My Dog clients miss me greatly and when they hear my name, they do happy dance dances to this day. I am currently open for daycare and boarding at my house. I also do housesitting and I’m there except for one hour in the morning and one hour at night when I go check on my dogs. I’m also available for drop ins and things but I’d like to get to know you and your dog before I do that on a more consistent basis. I’ve worked with Rover since 2012 and I’ve had nothing but positive reviews and experiences with Rover; I can provide nothing but positive references if asked and look forward to speaking to you. My prices may be higher than my competitors, but they aren’t my competitors. They are people that are unqualified to do this job that are being paid to do the job that they aren’t doing from my experience and in my opinion. I consider myself a “stay at home animal trainer” as I train most clients online, from my home. My schedule is flexible/adaptable to what *your dog & you* will need while at my house, during drop ins and walks, while I am pet sitting, or doing dog training. I have a small fenced patio with grass and turf in the front of my apartment and plenty of walking areas! I am near a dog park no one goes to & can go there if you sign a waiver. :) I NO longer accept dogs from multiple homes due to insurance policies. Payment is due half on meet and greet day and half on day your dog is dropped off.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 676 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Whitetail. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitetail. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
