“Robyn was amazing. We booked last minute and had many schedule changes and she was very flexible and understanding. She left the house in better condition than she found it and our dogs loved her.”

“Sara was wonderful-sent pictures daily with updates-pets happy and content when we returned home. Our home was left in perfect condition. She is a kind and caring individual who we will most certainly use again. Would give her ten stars if we could! Patti and Bill”

“Kelly came for a meet and greet, and was engaging with both of our pups within minutes. We are new to the area, and so for our first sit just had a day out in town. She kept us up to date with pictures and notes about what the pups were doing, and was good about asking questions when needed. We will be happy to have Kelly sit for us again!”

“We will definitely be using Terry again. She sat with our 3 dogs for 9 days at our house. The house was just as we left it and the dogs were so VERY happy. She sent tons of photos and updates. I did not have to worry about them at all and was able to completely enjoy our vacation!! Thank you so much Terry!!! I would definitely recommend her to everyone!!”

“Abby was amazing. We gave her a lot of detailed notes before we left on our trip, and she followed them all perfectly! She sent us frequent updates with pictures and videos, which we really loved, and she also responded to messages very quickly. Overall, we were very impressed with Abby and would rebook her in a heartbeat. We plan to hire her again as a sitter when we leave town next!”

“Mercedes did a great job and went above and beyond to care for our dogs. Even going as far as making sure we had a clean home to come home to after traveling. We will definitely book with her in the future!”

About: I grew up surrounded by pets, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I started dog sitting for friends while in college and have loved it ever since. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I work during the week, but I’m generally available in the evenings and have a flexible schedule on weekends. I’m happy to accommodate different needs whenever possible… it’s usually just a matter of coordinating schedules in advance 😊 I live in an apartment with access to a dog park right in the complex, so there is plenty of space for walks, playtime, and fresh air. I also love spending time outdoors and often visit parks, lakes, and hiking trails whenever I can. If a dog enjoys adventures, I would be happy to bring them along with me :)
“Theresa stayed with our fur babies while we were out of town for 10 days. She clearly has a lot of experience taking care of pets. She was super professional, communication was great. She sent daily photos/updates. I did not worry at all while we were away. Both the dog and cat seemed very happy and well cared for when we got home, and the house was left immaculately clean, almost like she'd never been there! I will definitely be booking Theresa again. Highly recommend.”

About: I have been an avid animal lover for as long as I can remember, and I have provided fantastic care to my own fur babies, and for plenty of others! I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, and I have spent a lot of time volunteering at shelters and rescue facilities. I currently have three fur babies myself, a dog and two cats, and a turtle! I care for cats and dogs of all ages, from newborn and bottle fed to elderly. I am a huge outdoors person, and I love hiking and running, so animals of all energies are welcome! I also have been a professional nanny for children for 8 years, so I’m very adaptable to household dynamics and am a master of patience. No matter the species, age, or size or your pets I promise to care for them as my own! I am a part-time nanny and a part-time student! This leaves me with plenty of time in the evenings to provide care. On Saturdays and Sundays I am off completely and able to provide all day care, and Monday through Friday I am available for drop ins or walks in the morning (7am), in the afternoon (4:30pm) and in the evening until 9pm. Every family and household has a different, unique dynamic, and I will always do my very best to care for your pets as you do! As a childcare provider as well, I am very adaptable and able to learn and implement a constructive schedule for your fur babies!
About: I have lifelong experience with dogs and a true genuine care for every animal I’ve met. I’ve been around dogs since I was very young and have cared for all kinds of breeds, from small lap dogs to large breeds with high energy levels. Having owned and raised many different dogs-several of them adopted as puppies- I understand that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. I believe the best care comes from treating every pet as an individual with their own respective personalities. I take the time to learn each owner’s preferences and follow their pet’s routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. In addition to caring for pets, I’ve also helped care for family members with special needs, which has strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and ability to stay calm and dependable in different situations. I bring that same level of compassion and responsibility to every pet I watch. My goal is simple; to give you peace of mind by providing reliable, loving care and making sure your pet feels like they’re with family until you return. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets. My work schedule is Sunday through Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, leaving the rest of my week and much of each day available for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or overnight care. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily routine because I have the time to give each pet the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I enjoy creating a consistent routine that helps pets feel comfortable and secure, whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, going on walks, playing, administering basic care, or simply spending quality time with them. I understand that life gets busy, and my goal is to give pet owners peace of mind by treating every pet like they’re my own. I’m dependable, responsive, and happy to accommodate most schedules, including last-minute requests whenever possible. Whether you’re at work, traveling, or just need an extra hand, I’m here to make sure your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I am cpr certified osha 10 certified and serv safe certified proving I am both competent and qualified to handle many situations that may come.

About My Experience & Care Style I have cared for animals for many years, including dogs and cats in a variety of home environments. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to provide dependable, attentive care while they are away. I am especially strong at maintaining a pet’s normal routine, which helps them feel calm and secure. I naturally bring a steady, grounded presence that animals respond well to, and I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. Because every animal is unique, I always let pets set the pace for how quickly we become friends, ensuring a patient, respectful introduction. I focus on creating a low-stress environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for, while also treating each home with the same level of respect and attention. I’m happy to travel for the right stay and provide a consistent, attentive experience from start to finish. 🐾 Multi-Pet Household Policy: For homes featuring a mix of both dogs and cats, my primary base rate defaults to the standard dog sitting rate ($105), with any feline family members added via the additional cat tier ($25). Medication Note: I am happy to administer oral medications, provided they can be easily hidden or mixed directly into the pet's regular food. I structure my schedule to support multi-day stays where I can provide a consistent and reliable presence. I am available throughout the week and weekends for house sitting, and I plan my time so that pets receive attentive care and a stable routine. I may step out for short periods during the day, but I always prioritize maintaining a pet’s comfort and schedule. This allows me to provide a balanced, calm environment while ensuring your home and pets are well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their established routine so everything feels as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific instructions closely, while also providing companionship and attentive care. I treat each home with great respect and care, keeping everything clean, secure, and well maintained. I’m mindful of safety at all times and aim to create a calm, stable environment where pets feel comfortable and owners feel confident that everything is being handled responsibly.
“Greg was fantastic with Jewel and Tyson. His great communication made everything so easy, and his patience truly showed in how he cared for my dogs. He's down to earth and trustworthy, and I felt completely at ease leaving my dogs in his hands. I high recommend! Celia M”

About: As a graduate of the University of Arizona with a BS in wildlife conservation I have a special place in my heart for all animals. I've been brought up most of my life with animals, mostly dogs and cats. Their company, presence is special and something I have and will enjoy for the rest of my life. I have a Staffordshire bull terrier and my dad has two cats of his own I adore. Looking to work in my future as a game warden and have experience completing a veterinary assistant certification at pima community college and a certification from durrel on completing a endangered species recovery course in the United kingdom (jersey channel islands). This is something I've been looking forward doing for a while; having a wonderful time looking after such wonderful pets. Simply when an animal is happy I'm happy. I will always take time for your pet as they deserve as much time and attention as possible which I can definitely give to them. Make sure they are always safe and having a great time with lots of play and love, they are family and will treat them as such.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 963 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Whitetail. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Whitetail walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Whitetail maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whitetail choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitetail. On Rover:

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
