“Elena was great! She was very communicative, and asked questions when she had questions. She was very good with my dog who can be guarded until he gets to know. She was patient and caring with him until he felt comfortable with her. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Sara is absolute ROCKSTAR. Our Mookie absolutely loves her. He had his 2nd stay with her and we could tell he had a blast. He normally doesn’t eat the most consistent but he did with Sara. We loved all the updates and pictures we got through the stay. Sara always leaves our home like no one stayed there and we will continue to use her for all of Mookie’s stays. As a French bulldog owner it can be very hard to find the right “fit” but we know we have it with Sara!!”

“Dakoda was so kind and the dogs really like him! He sent me pictures of them every day. The house was very neat and he even washed the towels he used which was not expected, so sweet! I look forward to the next time he watches our pups!”

“We will definitely be using Terry again. She sat with our 3 dogs for 9 days at our house. The house was just as we left it and the dogs were so VERY happy. She sent tons of photos and updates. I did not have to worry about them at all and was able to completely enjoy our vacation!! Thank you so much Terry!!! I would definitely recommend her to everyone!!”

“Karen and Brennen were so great taking care of our pup! We needed a house sitter in a pinch and they were so nice to come meet up before and helped me feel at ease that she would be well taken care of. I would definitely book them again”

“Abbygail has sat for us before. Chico likes her. I think she wishes he could be more playful... but he is 14 years old and has no energy or ability to walk long distances. She has taken good care of him and send us lots of updates and pictures.”

“Kelly came for a meet and greet, and was engaging with both of our pups within minutes. We are new to the area, and so for our first sit just had a day out in town. She kept us up to date with pictures and notes about what the pups were doing, and was good about asking questions when needed. We will be happy to have Kelly sit for us again!”

“Robert was the perfect choice for me. I needed to go to the emergency room, and I had a friend who took Bernie for 1 day. I put in my request and Robert responded immediately. Since I was in the ER he met with my friend, and she gave him all of Bernie's needs. After meeting with Robert, she said that she liked him so much that she would not hesitate to use him for her 2 cream goldens. Robert made 2 great impressions on one stop. I would use him every chance I get. He did light housework and sent pics of Bernie and made sure Bernie was a happy boy. Thank you Robert.”

“Brianna was so patient and understand with our reactive dog, she came over and sat with him many times in order to have him feel comfortable around her. Our trip went so smoothly because i didn't need to worry about the pups at home. She left the house exactly as she arrived, and it seemed cleaner even 😁 Was such a great experience, I never thought we'd be able to have a dog sitter with our problematic pup but she made the whole experience awesome. Thank you!”

“Kat was the ideal sitter for us, and we feel lucky we found her. Her calm peaceful demeanor was such a blessing for our anxious rescue, Dash. He quickly warmed up to her, which almost never happens, and she even let Dash sleep with her. She handled his medications as needed and communicated with us throughout the stay, sending many charming photos. She was so patient and responsive with my many instructions! Kat even left our home sparkly clean. We just hope she is available any time we need a sitter in the future!”

“Mercedes did a great job and went above and beyond to care for our dogs. Even going as far as making sure we had a clean home to come home to after traveling. We will definitely book with her in the future!”

“There’s house sitting/dog sitting, and then there’s Nohemi. An absolute sweetheart, she will spend more time playing and cuddling with your dog than you do. I’ll definitely be contacting her again when I need more dog sitting.”

About: I grew up surrounded by pets, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I started dog sitting for friends while in college and have loved it ever since. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I work during the week, but I’m generally available in the evenings and have a flexible schedule on weekends. I’m happy to accommodate different needs whenever possible… it’s usually just a matter of coordinating schedules in advance 😊 I live in an apartment with access to a dog park right in the complex, so there is plenty of space for walks, playtime, and fresh air. I also love spending time outdoors and often visit parks, lakes, and hiking trails whenever I can. If a dog enjoys adventures, I would be happy to bring them along with me :)
About: I grew up with dogs and have pet sat for family and friends over the years. I even pet sat 2 birds when I was 11, learning that I am not a bird person 😅 but I love the pups. I have a year of professional dog walking experience and am excited to be able to add pet sitting. I have helped train the family pets my whole life mostly the basics: perimeter training, no jumping, stay, sit, etc. I will implement any training techniques and goals you have been working on with your pup to be sure they keep growing. If your pup is in their final years I would love to help you make them the best. I was able to see my beloved Rocky and Zuri through all their days. Zuri's hips where too weak in the end. A almost hundred pound rhodesian ridgeback, I would carry her when needed often having her lay on blankets and pulling her around the house then lifting her out side. She was such a sweet girl her and Rocky both lived for about 14 years. I am available any day after 2pm. I work mornings so am not always available in the mornings. During the summer this does lead to later walk times in the evening since the heat is so much. If sitting it would also mean 5am walks on my work days. What does your pup enjoy? I will gladly take them on walks, play out side, go for a drive to a park for them to be social butterflies. My goal is to burn all that good energy off so they may enjoy all the good naps.
“Carmen was an amazing dog sitter! She kept in communication with me on a daily basis, as I asked, she followed all the instructions I left her for my dog and the house such as taking the trash out and watering the plants. When she wasn’t sure of something, she would check in with me to ask which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Carmen as a sitter and I will definitely use her services again! My dog loved her and was well taken care of.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 968 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Willow Canyon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Willow Canyon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Willow Canyon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willow Canyon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
