“Kemma was an excellent petsitter! She definitely had a challenging sit! An aging blind, diabetic Pomsky that needed insulin shots. She also had to learn how to feed my Sun Conure and Green Cheek Conure. For both task - she was upfront and stated that she had no prior experience. Prior to the actual sit, she came and we went over everything together. Kemma is a very fast learner! She did have an incident with my Green Cheek and got bit during one of the feeding. Other than that all was well. I would definitely have her back again for future sits!”

“I’ve had a couple of bad experiences using Rover in the past with boarding in someone else’s home so I decided to give drop in visits a try. Robert was very good at communicating with us and made sure our dog was well cared for during the few days we were gone. He was very trustworthy and I would seek him out in the future.”

About: I’ve had English bulldogs for 10 years. I haven’t met a dog I didn’t love. I can administer most meds with instructions. I’ll care for your dog as if it were my own and she’s spoiled! I work full-time but mostly remote, so I’m home a lot. I can ensure your dog’s needs are met on a daily basis, they’re the best companions. I have a fenced yard and a small area with turf for potty breaks. I live near a dog park and can take them there, weather permitting. I consider dogs a part of the household so they’re allowed everywhere but I’ll also follow your lead if you have specific instructions.
“Elizabeth is truly a dog whisperer! She took excellent care of our 3 dogs. Highly recommend her services! She also was very accommodating initially to meet the boys. She routinely updated us on how they were doing while we were away, making it less stressful. Again, highly recommend!”

“Lauren-you are amazing!! My pups a so reserved and you were able to bring them out of their shell. I truly appreciate all of you efforts to bond with them and spend time with them. This was the first trip I was at peace leaving them under someone’s care. Thank you for all that you did!”

“The cats seemed happier and less stressed this trip. Appreciated extra help with bringing in a package and garbage can without being asked. She sent pictures of all 3 kittys in some of their favorite but hard to find hiding places, even under our bed. Instead of leaving the keys under the front door mat where someone might find them before we got home, she messaged me she'll drop them off when we're home. I would highly recommend Kylee if you're looking for someone who gives the best pet care but who also cares about things not necessarily expected of her.”

“So thankful that Sydny was able to schedule us on very short notice. We had her check in on our two cats while we were away for a few days. Very friendly, good photos, and was willing to feed our gecko as well when he ran out of crickets ahead of schedule.”

“Ander came to our rescue after a last-minute cancellation left us scrambling to find someone to drop in! Thankfully, Ander was incredibly quick to respond and eager to help us out despite the quick turnaround, so our anxiety was short-lived. Throughout booking to drop in, Ander remained responsive, kept us in the loop, and saved my pups from an uncomfortable day cooped up at home alone. We hope to work with Ander again soon!”

“Courtney is absolutely incredible! Our fur girls absolutely adored her and immediately went to her for cuddles and treats! If you are looking for someone who your pets will immediately connect with, Courtney is the pet sitter for you! She is friendly, a wonderful communicator and gives the best daily updates and photos ever!!! We are so grateful to have found her and look forward to our next adventure knowing that our girls will be well cared for”

“She was an awesome sitter for our two dogs. We had her drop in on them and she was always prompt, thorough and attentive to them and our home. She communicated any concerns and how everything went during the visits. Her son came with her a couple times and I know our dogs loved that! He’s very sweet and gentle. We will use her again in the future.”

“Jeri is absolutely wonderful. We have booked her several times. Does a great job with caring for our dogs. Great attention to detail, an amazing communicator and most importantly - she gives our doggies so much love.”

“Stephanie is utilizing our drop in visits for training while I am on leave from work. She has a gifted way with dogs and we have learned so much after only a couple of visits! I look forward to using her when I return to work and even for pet sitting in the future.”
“I loved the several pictures and the last minute availability. Benji is my child in dog form and it felt safe and comfortable. She did not feel like a stranger and I’m very happy with the drop in service I got. Will 100% have her over again!”

“Bryan and Ginger were an absolute blessing. They took such amazing care of our baby, Nancy. I was told everyday how she was doing and what they did and got multiple photos of my girl. Nancy was always happy in all the photos and in perfect heath upon my return. We will without a doubt be booking with them again and highly recommend them to those with animal care needs. Thank you both so very much.”

“Andreah was excellent at communicating throughout our trip. She was punctual and reliable. Both our cat and dog did great while we were gone. Hope to have her again in the future.”

About: My name is Katie and I am a doctoral student studying Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I am hoping to start up a non-profit senior dog rescue sanctuary in the near future. I have loved dogs since I was a baby. I grew up with all kind of dogs from Irish Setter to Gordon Settler to Lab to Cocker Spaniels. Now I’m raising 5 years old border collie and 3 years old black lab. I am usually free in late afternoons, evenings and on the weekends. I do also work from home and can adjust my schedule a little bit if you need me during the day. When I’m not in school or working, I enjoys reading, walking and geeking out at the museums. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have questions. I look forward to hear from you! During the weekdays, I usually take dogs out for potty every two to three hours and I would take them out for a walk in morning, during lunch break, and in evening. I usually give two meals a day (morning and evening) and set a time aside to play with them. I live in a house and have two friendly dogs that can play with your puppy. I also have a crate in case your dog needs to be crated. My home also has a huge backyard for the dogs to play in. For safety reasons, I prefer to supervise the dogs while they are in the backyard.
“Kate was great with our pups! This was our first time using Rover and we felt very comfortable with her. She was easy to get ahold of, replied quickly, lefts us wonderful updates and photos of our dogs! Very trustworthy and will be using again in the future! ❤️”

Sky cared for our 2 cats while we were away on vacation for several days. She made sure to follow our detailed instructions and sent updates and pictures during each visit. We always get a little anxious leaving our cats behind when we travel, but Sky helped us relax on our trip since we knew they were in good hands. Thank you, Sky!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rillito. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
