“Kemma was an excellent petsitter! She definitely had a challenging sit! An aging blind, diabetic Pomsky that needed insulin shots. She also had to learn how to feed my Sun Conure and Green Cheek Conure. For both task - she was upfront and stated that she had no prior experience. Prior to the actual sit, she came and we went over everything together. Kemma is a very fast learner! She did have an incident with my Green Cheek and got bit during one of the feeding. Other than that all was well. I would definitely have her back again for future sits!”

About: My home has never been without pets. I currently have 4 loving dogs of my own. They are a mixed breed pack of all ages. I care for one senior dog at the moment. I’ve raised several litters of puppies and found them great homes. I was a preschool teacher before so I know patience better than most. Animals have a big place in my heart. My mom helps me out to. This a duo team. She does overnights and I do drop ins and day sitting. She has always been around animals whether horses, cattle, dogs, cats, rats and more. We love furry friends and they love us. We can’t wait to meet yours! I run a business from home so I have super flexible hours and availability to tend to any and all care needs. Your pet will be my priority. I prefer to care for the pets in their own home and familiar areas. I find this gives them a good sense that nothing is changing and reduces stress for the animal. I am very familiar with crates and crate trained animals. I pay close attention to instructions given for food and medications. I will spend time with them not just drop by for 5 minutes, giving love, attention, exercise(if permitted).
“Lauren-you are amazing!! My pups a so reserved and you were able to bring them out of their shell. I truly appreciate all of you efforts to bond with them and spend time with them. This was the first trip I was at peace leaving them under someone’s care. Thank you for all that you did!”

“I’ve had a couple of bad experiences using Rover in the past with boarding in someone else’s home so I decided to give drop in visits a try. Robert was very good at communicating with us and made sure our dog was well cared for during the few days we were gone. He was very trustworthy and I would seek him out in the future.”

“More than pleased! Unfortunately, I ended up with a small medical situation and needed them last minute. They were great to work with and very easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend! I will be keeping them in mind for future as well 10 million stars if I could.”

“Jennifer goes above and beyond with every visit, not just doing her duties but making sure our pets are happy, safe and healthy. She's also so helpful with any other requests we gave. Amazing job!”

About: I’ve had English bulldogs for 10 years. I haven’t met a dog I didn’t love. I can administer most meds with instructions. I’ll care for your dog as if it were my own and she’s spoiled! I work full-time but mostly remote, so I’m home a lot. I can ensure your dog’s needs are met on a daily basis, they’re the best companions. I have a fenced yard and a small area with turf for potty breaks. I live near a dog park and can take them there, weather permitting. I consider dogs a part of the household so they’re allowed everywhere but I’ll also follow your lead if you have specific instructions.
“The cats seemed happier and less stressed this trip. Appreciated extra help with bringing in a package and garbage can without being asked. She sent pictures of all 3 kittys in some of their favorite but hard to find hiding places, even under our bed. Instead of leaving the keys under the front door mat where someone might find them before we got home, she messaged me she'll drop them off when we're home. I would highly recommend Kylee if you're looking for someone who gives the best pet care but who also cares about things not necessarily expected of her.”

“I loved the several pictures and the last minute availability. Benji is my child in dog form and it felt safe and comfortable. She did not feel like a stranger and I’m very happy with the drop in service I got. Will 100% have her over again!”

“Courtney is absolutely incredible! Our fur girls absolutely adored her and immediately went to her for cuddles and treats! If you are looking for someone who your pets will immediately connect with, Courtney is the pet sitter for you! She is friendly, a wonderful communicator and gives the best daily updates and photos ever!!! We are so grateful to have found her and look forward to our next adventure knowing that our girls will be well cared for”

“Kate was great! This was a short notice booking and she answered the call with flying colors. The dogs liked her very much and were very relaxed around her. Will not hesitate to book with her again.”

“We had such a great experience with Nicole--it was our first time going out of town since moving to Tucson a few months ago, so we were anxious about leaving our young high-energy pug, elderly pittie, and senior cat, but Nicole quickly made us feel super relaxed. Our pittie needs daily medication and our dogs are kept separate from our cat and Nicole handled everything great--she sent us updates after each visit and when we returned home, all of our pets were the calmest we'd ever seen them after being left with a petsitter. 100% recommend Nicole!”

Looking forward to spending time with your pets and making sure they get everything they need when they need it. I’m free on weekends for overnight care, and I’m open to stopping by on evenings during the week, too. I will try my best to be flexible to make sure your pet is cared for. I’ve had dogs my whole life with medical conditions, and I currently have a pitbull with anxiety issues, so I’m used to keeping up with medicine and extra playtime. I love playing with animals and going for walks, and I have no problem laying around and relaxing when they prefer that, too :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 506 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Avra Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Avra Valley. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
