“Courtney was a wonderful sitter. I have very social cats but I could tell when she first met them that they’d be in good hands. She even fed my mice that I hadn’t previously mentioned (I recommend always telling your sitter in advanced if you have “extra” pets so they’re aware, though, that’s on me). But she was so friendly and easy to communicate with. I’d also hired her to water my plants but because of the rain we got she didn’t have to. The fact that she was willing to do so and asked questions to make sure she did things right was more than enough for me. My home was also exactly as I left it, so I really appreciated Courtney’s efforts. The cats were asking about her when she left so she must’ve done something right. 10/10!”

“Shaina was amazing with my 2 dogs! She took great care of them while I was gone! They took to her right away and enjoyed her drop in visits for food, play, treats and pets. I will absolutely be using her again!”

“Wow, Marina did an amazing job with our dog Moon! Very detailed description of what she did with our dog and even took him on walks without us asking. She really went the extra step to make sure our dog was well taken care of and felt loved! Will definitely be using her in the future! Also, we really appreciate her cleaning up the dog hair and having us come home to a clean house!”

“We had another really great experience with Savannah. This time we booked a drop in with her on shorter notice and she was still able to accommodate our request. Rezza was very excited to see her, and definitely remembered her from her previous visits. We will continue to leverage Savannah's services! As a matter of fact, we already have her booked again for later this month ☺️”

About: Hello! I am a pet lover who grew up with Boston terriers from ages 10-12 (20+). I also grew up working with dogs (Border Collies) on ranches, working side by side on various tasks. Because of my experience and comfort with dogs, I have been dog-sitting for friends and family my whole life. I have some experience caring for cats, including my sisters' and friends' cats (5+ years). I am very active and can exercise or entertain your pet with play or runs. I have rarley met a dog that I wasn't able to build trust with. I am a graduate student whose internship starts on the 27th of July. So I have complete availability then. Outside of that, I am typically free after 5 pm on weekdays and completely free on weekends. I ensure to follow all the rules the pet owner has established. I will use commands and language the dog is familiar with to avoid confusion. I make sure the pets are exercised 2-3 times a day. Cleaned and brushed if needed. I am mindful of water intake and make sure that all pets are kept on their usual schedule.
“Asher did a wonderful job with my senior cat.He is older and needs soft food. Giz loved his time with Asher. She was very patient and caring . I would definitely recommend Asher to care for any of your pets. She listened to all his needs and took really good care of him.”

“Tracie did a wonderful job dropping in on my cat, Kiku. She let me know when she was going in and would send me texts and photos of Kiku everyday! Tracie took care of food, water and litter box issues and cleaned up a small mess Kiku made on the carpet. I have no hesitation using Tracie in the future when I need a caring person to watch over my Kiku.”

About: We are huge animal lovers and have owned a variety of different pets including several breeds of dogs. We currently have one elderly indoor cat that we have had for over 10 years and a playful pitbull mix. We are also a foster and adoptive family so there are always children around to keep your pet company. We love spending time in nature, exploring wild places with my family and teaching my children about animals. We live on a large plot of land where a dog would be able to run and play without disturbing our neighbors. Tristina is a full time mom so your furry friend would never be unsupervised and the whole family has experience as long time pet owners. Allen works 4 pm to midnight and is usually home most of the day and Tristina is usually at home so the your fur baby would almost never be left alone. Our home has to stay foster care compliant so it is always a safe environment for your pets. We have completed dog training classes with our dog and know ways to make them feel comfortable in our home as well as mentally and physically stimulated.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve had up to three dogs of my own at once (plus cats and even farm animals!), so I’m comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines all at once. I’ve worked on a farm and volunteered at a local animal shelter, which gave me hands-on experience with dogs of all temperaments — from energetic and playful to shy or nervous. Those experiences taught me patience, consistency, and how important it is to make animals feel safe. I’ve dog sat for friends and family many times, and always treat their pets like they’re my own. Whether your dog needs long walks and playtime, a calm and gentle approach, or help taking oral medication, I’m focused on making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re feel confident they’re in good hands (I’m happy to give frequent updates!) I mostly have walk times available in the afternoon- 3:30pm and after. Saturday-Monday I have more availability (all day) for walks and visits! Communication is key to success and I am happy to try and make things work. I like to walk (or run) at whatever pace your dog sets, ensuring they get plenty of breaks to drink or rest as needed! Lots of attention and play is my specialty, but I also can appreciate some dogs and cats needing their space and can recognize when they just want to relax on their own. If you like updates with pictures of your fur baby, I’m your gal! You’ll be sure to stay in touch with how your pup is enjoying their walk or dinner with a picture or two.
“Rosa did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Leo! She was super reliable and made sure he was well cared for while I was away. She sent me updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell Leo was happy and comfortable with her. I’d definitely book with Rosa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and responsible pet sitter!”

About: I’ve always been a total dog and cat person and honestly, I’m the one who ends up saying hi to the pets before the people 😄. I’ve cared for puppies and adult dogs, and I’ve also spent the last 6 years fostering kittens and cats, which has been such a big, happy part of my life. Being around animals just makes me feel like myself. I love getting to know their personalities, their little habits, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Since I have pets of my own, I completely understand how much trust it takes to leave them with someone. That’s something I never take lightly. I’ll care for your fur babies like they’re part of my own family 💛 I am a homemaker and I am free to take care of your fur babies anytime you need me. When I tell you I am there for you, you'll know I will be. I have a fenced yard, 1 very friendly 4 month old pup and an 8 year old kid who loves to pamper pets and has always been around pets his whole 8 years amd has been a great helper throughout our fostering periods.
“We had Allyson do a drop in when we took a day trip to Phoenix. She had stayed with our pets for a long weekend, so we were perfectly comfortable that all would go well. And it did. She’s a great communicator and really cares about our animals. Highly recommend her!”

About: If you know me, you know I love animals! My first job was working at PetsMart PetsHotel! From the tiniest frog to the biggest Great Dane, I love them all. I have 3 dogs of my own, 1 snake and 1 desert tortoise. In our home, we love all creatures big and small. I currently work from home with flexible hours to accommodate varying schedules. I have 2 kiddos of my own in school and a postal worker husband Safety and care are the biggest priorities in my opinion! I understand the importance of taking care of a pet as a member of the family!
About: I spent a year out in MD working as a dog-walker/ pet care provider for an established company, and almost a year here in Tucson working at a dog kennel. What started as a side gig, quickly evolved into something I was busy enough to do full time! Most of the testimonials in my profile are from happy, regular customers I made working there! :) I’ve had experience working with dogs and cats of all sizes and needs, and am very comfortable handling dogs safely- even on hiking trails or out in public. I am a full time pet-care provider, but new to the area, so I have fairly open availability and am flexible with most people’s schedules! I try to treat everyone’s space and animals as I would want someone to treat mine- with care and respect. I will make sure I am completing whatever service you request, as well as making sure your pet has general things like a full water bowl, etc. I am also very responsible about closing up and locking.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tucson Estates. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
