About: Hello! I am a pet lover who grew up with Boston terriers for 20+ years. I also grew up working with dogs (Border Collies) on ranches, working side by side on various tasks. Because of my experience and comfort with dogs, I have been dog-sitting for friends and family my whole life. I have some experience caring for cats, including my sisters' and friends' cats (5+ years). I am very active and can exercise or entertain your pet with play or runs. I have rarely met a dog I couldn't build trust with. I am working a full-time position at the University of Arizona. I am free from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. I have full availability on weekends. I ensure to follow all the rules the pet owner has established. I will use commands and language the dog is familiar with to avoid confusion. I make sure the pets are exercised 2-3 times a day. Cleaned and brushed if needed. I am mindful of water intake and make sure that all pets are kept on their usual schedule.
About: I take recognition in what dogs need. Since I've been little I've always had a connection with animals. Whether it be from a little bug from a big dog I feel that they care in a different way than humans. About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was old enough to provide the necessary care of my own pets at home without my parents assistance at around age 9. At home currently I take care of a pitbull, 2 chihuahuas, a cat, and a bunny! I do dog sitting and cat sitting for neighbors and family near me and have stayed at some of their homes for days at a time. I feed my dogs 3 times a day, my cat eats 2 times a day and my bunny eats 3 times a day. I try to take my dogs on a walk twice a day or they join my parents on their afternoon walks. I shower them every 2-3 weeks depending on how dirty they get and wipe my cat often as she is always outside. In clients homes I have walked their dogs, played with them, fed them specific amounts, gave medication, and cleaned up after them.
“Samirah is an AMAZING human! Seriously one of the best pet sitter’s we’ve ever had. My dog had an unexpected medical emergency while we were gone and had to go to the emergency vet, Samirah got him there super quickly even though it was very late at night, took amazing care of him while he was scared at the ER, and was super communicative with us the whole time while we drove back home. Obviously it was not an ideal situation to have while we were on vacation but we felt so comforted to know that Samirah was taking great care of him. Even the staff at the emergency vet told me how amazing she was with him!!!! She also took great care of our cat and our house even with a sick puppy to look after!
