“Elena was great with my temperamental dog. She always communicates and is very helpful with everything. I really appreciated all she did to keep my pets happy while I was out of town.”

“Robert was wonderful! He was on time, very kind and took special care with our elderly and blind dachshund. She needs extra attention on walks and outside around our pool, he was very patient and understanding with this. He provided photos and detailed updates on how she was doing. Our house was spotless and our dog was calm and content when we arrived back home. We will be booking Rob for future dates.”

About: My home has never been without pets. I currently have 4 loving dogs of my own. They are a mixed breed pack of all ages. I care for one senior dog at the moment. I’ve raised several litters of puppies and found them great homes. I was a preschool teacher before so I know patience better than most. Animals have a big place in my heart. I run a business from home so I have super flexible hours and availability to tend to any and all care needs. Your pet will be my priority. I prefer to care for the pets in their own home and familiar areas. I find this gives them a good sense that nothing is changing and reduces stress for the animal. I am very familiar with crates and crate trained animals. I pay close attention to instructions given for food and medications. I will spend time with them not just drop by for 5 minutes, giving love, attention, exercise(if permitted).
“Danielle stayed in my home for 5 days with my 2 dogs and 2 cats. She took great care of them- one of my dogs needed unexpected antibiotics which she just worked into their routine with ease. The house was in perfect order upon my return, my animals happy and healthy. Fantastic job and lots of pictures and feedback! Thank you so much Danielle!”

About: Hi there! I'm Zandra, an animal lover with over 9 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I have also taken care of bunnies, fish and reptiles. I take pride in being calm, clean, dependable, and fully present with the pets I care for. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy their companionship and love making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their people are away. I currently offer in-home pet sitting and drop-in visits. At this time, I am not offering dog walking services. When I'm not caring for pets, I drive for Uber between bookings and drop-in visits. If I'm staying in your home for an overnight or extended in-home pet sit, your pet will always remain my priority, and I do not drive for Uber during those stays. My focus is on providing your pets with consistent care, companionship, and the attention they deserve. Outside of pet care, I'm working toward opening my own online pet store and earning my sound healing certification. I'm passionate about creating a calm, positive environment for both animals and the people who love them. Every pet sit and drop-in is important to me—it's an opportunity to provide reliable care, companionship, and peace of mind for both pets and their humans. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. Since I work remotely, I’m home and available for plenty of attention, walks, play, and snuggles throughout the day. I keep a calm, clean environment and love having pets as my companions while I work. Feeding, potty breaks, lap cuddles, or a good game of fetch all fit easily into my schedule. I’m also working toward my Dog Trainer certification, so every interaction with a pet is a chance to practice patience, consistency, and lots of love. When house sitting, I treat your home and pets as if they were my own. I follow your routines for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and any special instructions, giving pets plenty of companionship, cuddles, and attention while you’re away. I also keep your home clean, organized, and secure, so you can relax knowing everything is taken care of. For dog walking, I provide safe, fun, and engaging walks tailored to your dog’s energy level and personality, making sure they get exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of love along the way. I aim to make every walk enjoyable and stress-free for your paw pals.
About: I’ve had English bulldogs for 10 years. I haven’t met a dog I didn’t love. I can administer most meds with instructions. I’ll care for your dog as if it were my own and she’s spoiled! I work full-time but mostly remote, so I’m home a lot. I can ensure your dog’s needs are met on a daily basis, they’re the best companions. I have a fenced yard and a small area with turf for potty breaks. I live near a dog park and can take them there, weather permitting. I consider dogs a part of the household so they’re allowed everywhere but I’ll also follow your lead if you have specific instructions.
“Kaitlin did an incredible job with my 2 dogs. Constantly kept me informed as to how they were doing and sent multiple pictures every day. The boys were well taken care of. Took care of everything in the house and did a great job of walking the dogs both morning and night. Would definitely recommend her looking for someone to stay with their dogs.”

“Robyn was amazing. We booked last minute and had many schedule changes and she was very flexible and understanding. She left the house in better condition than she found it and our dogs loved her.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have grown up surrounded by pets. I’ve had dogs and other animals of my own, and caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I currently volunteer regularly at local animal shelters, including the Arizona Humane Society, where I get to spend time caring for and supporting animals in need. I also have previous dog-sitting experience from high school and am excited to get back into it! While I’m unable to have a dog of my own right now because of school, dog sitting gives me the opportunity to spend time with the animals I love. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own, with patience, attention, affection, and plenty of love. 🐾❤️ I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8 AM–5 PM. If you’re located close to my workplace, I have a full hour lunch break and can stop by for a midday check-in, potty break, or some extra love and attention. For dog sitting, I’m available after 7 PM on weekdays and can do overnight stays, as I typically like to hit the gym after work. Weekends are where I have the most flexibility and I’m fully available to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles. 🐾❤️ I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and will always do my best to provide reliable, consistent care! When caring for pets in your home, I have a consistent routine that can easily be adjusted to fit your pet’s normal schedule and needs. I naturally wake up around 7 AM and start my day with a morning walk or run, which I’d be happy to include your pup in! Since I live in Arizona, I’m mindful of the heat and will plan outdoor activities for earlier in the morning or cooler times of the day to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Throughout the day, I’ll set aside dedicated time for play, attention, and enrichment. I also enjoy incorporating simple training exercises into playtime when appropriate, especially if your pet enjoys learning and mental stimulation. I do set aside about two hours each day for the gym, so there will be a short period when I’m away. Outside of that, my schedule is very flexible, and I’m happy to adjust my routine around your pet’s feeding, walking, medication, bathroom, and rest schedule. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home while you’re away. 🐾❤️
“Theresa stayed with our fur babies while we were out of town for 10 days. She clearly has a lot of experience taking care of pets. She was super professional, communication was great. She sent daily photos/updates. I did not worry at all while we were away. Both the dog and cat seemed very happy and well cared for when we got home, and the house was left immaculately clean, almost like she'd never been there! I will definitely be booking Theresa again. Highly recommend.”

About: I grew up surrounded by pets, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I started dog sitting for friends while in college and have loved it ever since. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I work during the week, but I’m generally available in the evenings and have a flexible schedule on weekends. I’m happy to accommodate different needs whenever possible… it’s usually just a matter of coordinating schedules in advance 😊 I live in an apartment with access to a dog park right in the complex, so there is plenty of space for walks, playtime, and fresh air. I also love spending time outdoors and often visit parks, lakes, and hiking trails whenever I can. If a dog enjoys adventures, I would be happy to bring them along with me :)
About: I’ve taken care of many animals through out my life, from cats and dogs, to raising animals on a farm. I enjoy being around animals and look forward to meeting yours! Im not currently working and I am available anytime to watch your fur babies. Morning, afternoon and evenings. Over night stays as well if needed. Communication is a priority and I will provide frequent updates with photos/videos. This has allowed my clients to see first hand how safe, comfortable, and secure their pets feel in my care. My clients often express their peace of mind knowing their pets are safe, understood, and well cared for while away
“We hired Maya for a house/pet sit for our two dogs and two cats. She was very communicative during her stay, giving us daily updates. She kept the house clean and tidy and kept our animals happy and fed!”

“Kat was the ideal sitter for us, and we feel lucky we found her. Her calm peaceful demeanor was such a blessing for our anxious rescue, Dash. He quickly warmed up to her, which almost never happens, and she even let Dash sleep with her. She handled his medications as needed and communicated with us throughout the stay, sending many charming photos. She was so patient and responsive with my many instructions! Kat even left our home sparkly clean. We just hope she is available any time we need a sitter in the future!”

“It you're on the fence and not sure if Rover is the way to go, I highly recommend you book Dakoda. I was really worried it was going to be a mess. I was pleasantly surprised when he offered to meet before hand and discuss the details of our upcoming trip. He immediately made me feel at ease and was very comfortable with my large dogs. Dakoda also notices the little things that needed to be cared for in our home. He changed our Christmas countdown while we were out. It's the little things that make a real difference. I can tell he not only cares about the pets but also cares about the family he stays with. Book Dakoda, he is truly a remarkable young man.”

“Kelly was the best per sitter we have had! She offered daily pics and communication about our pup! She came by to meet him before to make sure they got along and to learn his routine. She took amazing care of our house and pup! She even washed the sheets and towels she used which was above ans beyond! We highly recommend Kelly!”

About: Hello! I am a pet lover who grew up with Boston terriers for 20+ years. I also grew up working with dogs (Border Collies) on ranches, working side by side on various tasks. Because of my experience and comfort with dogs, I have been dog-sitting for friends and family my whole life. I have some experience caring for cats, including my sisters' and friends' cats (5+ years). I am very active and can exercise or entertain your pet with play or runs. I have rarely met a dog I couldn't build trust with. I am working a full-time position at the University of Arizona. I am free from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. I have full availability on weekends. I ensure to follow all the rules the pet owner has established. I will use commands and language the dog is familiar with to avoid confusion. I make sure the pets are exercised 2-3 times a day. Cleaned and brushed if needed. I am mindful of water intake and make sure that all pets are kept on their usual schedule.

“My dog and three cats had yet another wonderful weekend with Kaitlynn. No signs of separation anxiety upon our return and they were clearly well cared for. Kaitlynn follows schedules extremely carefully, keeping their comfort levels in mind first and foremost. She maintains their routines, gives them lots of attention, and makes sure they feel safe and happy! Can’t recommend her enough!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Picture Rocks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Picture Rocks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Picture Rocks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Picture Rocks. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
