“Elena was great! She was very communicative, and asked questions when she had questions. She was very good with my dog who can be guarded until he gets to know. She was patient and caring with him until he felt comfortable with her. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Kylee D did a great job house and kitty sitting while we were out of town for a week. She was responsive and gave us lots of updates while we were gone. We would not hesitate to recommend her.”

“Kaitlin was amazing with our pups! She stayed in our home to watch the dogs on our wedding day, and there was no worry in my mind that they were well taken care of! Kaitlin was great during the meet and greet with our pups, and while we were gone she provided updates and photos throughout the day! Our pups were clearly well cared for, and the home was left in perfect condition! Would definitely trust Kaitlin to stay in our home and watch our dogs again!”

About: I've been taking care of pets for neighbors and family friends for the past 4 years, and loved every second of it! I've been able to cuddle with puppies while watching a movie, wrestle with some teens pups and begrudgingly let them win, and I've taken calm walks around the backyard with a senior dog. I'm currently in school, so my day doesn't begin until 4 on weekdays, perfect for house sitting and sunset walks! On weekends, my schedule is completly free! I do have some Sunday morning commitments, as I work childcare for my church, but it has a flexible schedule for whatever you or your furry friend might need! I love to match the energy of pet and owner, so I can always provide the best experience. I'm able to lounge with some calm cats or play in the yard with some energetic puppies. I can take walks around your neighborhood, or go for drives if that's your pets vibe. In the end, if the pet is happy then so am I 😊
“Tim and Kate couldn’t have been better. They stayed in touch with us throughout our vacation with pictures, daily reports, and some insightful questions. We came home to a tidy house and happy pets. Can’t recommend them more highly! Will definitely use them again.”

“Robert was wonderful! He was on time, very kind and took special care with our elderly and blind dachshund. She needs extra attention on walks and outside around our pool, he was very patient and understanding with this. He provided photos and detailed updates on how she was doing. Our house was spotless and our dog was calm and content when we arrived back home. We will be booking Rob for future dates.”

“I had to go out of town at the last minute. A friend suggested Rover. Ander was available for a last minute stay. We met to see how Ander and Willy would be. I was very surprised at how comfortable Willy was. I am grateful for the care and attention he gave to Willy. I will happily be a repeat customer. I also appreciate that he only has one “family” of pets at a time. Thank you Ander for going out of your way to help us.”

“Kristina did a great job with our GSD Max. She showed up early, cuddled and played with Max, sent photos, cleaned up after herself and went way beyond what she was asked to do. Most impressive. She's a keeper in my book. Will definitely use her again. dg”

“Jeanne was awesome! She stayed at our house with our two Australian Shepherds while we were away for a week. They took to her immediately! She sent pics and videos while we were gone and I could tell the dogs were thrilled to have her there. They were so happy and well taken care of. She was friendly and extremely considerate, the house looked as clean if not cleaner than we left it! I would use Jeanne again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her for dog sitting and home sitting.”

“Tyler is always the kindest pal for our pup who hates being alone. She’s prompt and communicative and is great at getting Remy out for walks even on a very hot day. Thank you Tyler!”

“We couldn’t be happier with our experience! She did an amazing job watching our dogs and went above and beyond by also taking care of the house and watering all of our plants. She was incredibly responsible, reliable, and gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were happy and well cared for, and everything at home looked perfect when we returned. We will absolutely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“I felt so safe leaving my home and kitty with Jamie. She was a great communicator, was patient with Harrison's character (he takes a few days to warm up to new people) and she left the house in great condition. I would invite her back anytime, and will!”

“Robyn was amazing. We booked last minute and had many schedule changes and she was very flexible and understanding. She left the house in better condition than she found it and our dogs loved her.”

“Kenna did a great job taking care of our lab and staying over on our home. She did a wonderful job of communicating regularly and sending pics! We are very happy with her care and will definitely use Kenna again!”

“Danielle stayed in my home for 5 days with my 2 dogs and 2 cats. She took great care of them- one of my dogs needed unexpected antibiotics which she just worked into their routine with ease. The house was in perfect order upon my return, my animals happy and healthy. Fantastic job and lots of pictures and feedback! Thank you so much Danielle!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Sarah!! She was so professional and caring for our babies while we were on vacation! One of our pups very anxious and can be aggressive towards new people. She was so patient and skilled in letting him come to her in his own time. She provided us so many updates, pictures, and videos to keep our minds at ease!! She asked for instructions and followed everything to perfection!! I would use her for dog care over and over again!!! So glad we found her!!”

“We have two senior dogs with mobility limitations, health issues, and complicated medicine schedules. When we needed to go away overnight, Kaitlynn provided care at our home, which is best for our dogs. She not only took great care of Callo and Hamish, but also our turtle, house plants, and more! We would highly recommend having Kaitlynn care for them again.”

About: I have dog/cat sat for family, friends, family friends and many others. Both in house/overnight, as well as taking dogs on walks and having playtime. I'm used to both younger and older animals and set my pace to match their own. I have dealt with many forms of administering medicine to animals. My goal, as in my headline, is to cater to you and your pet. Not all animals are the same! Some animals require lots of attention and comfort and others need a far slower pace. Whatever works best for your animal is what I will do. I am great at approaching animals slowly and calmly so that they can adjust to my presence. Above all, I wish to bring the least stress to your pet with my presence if they are not a social animal. Overall my overnight stays/days spent taking care of other animals (not my own) amounts to about 1 year of continuous experience. I have come to learn how to handle both dogs and cat extremely well but am more than capable and willing to learn/care for any other type of pet! I volunteer part-time so I have plenty of time on my hands to watch your pets! I can stay fully inside your house for overnight visits and not leave much or check in on them periodically, whichever works best for you. If I am to be absent from your house for any reason (likely volunteering) I will have discussed it with you prior to the sitting and will only be gone for a maximum of 5 hours (accounting for travel time). I will avoid having any volunteer hours on any days that I am pet sitting as often as I can help it! I cater to you and your pets before my own personal desires. As often as your pet wants to play I will play! I can go on multiple walks a day with them. If you prefer that they be away from other animals on walks I will find a more secluded area. All animals are different and require different needs. I largely base my activities during pet sitting or playtime/walks off of what the client needs for their pets rather than prior experience that I have. When I first introduce myself to your pet it will be slow and gradual (offering my hand to sniff, not making eye contact, allowing them to adjust to my presence and come to me first) unless of course they're open upon me entering!
About: Hello! My name is Katie, and I am a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter who understands that pets are family. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets, and I am committed to providing them with the love, attention, and routine they need while you’re away. I take pride in keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy in their familiar environment. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of trust and communication. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are well cared for. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, play sessions, cuddles, or simply a consistent routine, I will tailor my care to meet their individual needs. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and can provide consistent, dependable care. I plan my schedule to ensure pets receive timely feedings, walks, exercise, playtime, and companionship. Whether it’s morning visits, afternoon check-ins, evening care, or overnight stays, I am committed to maintaining each pet’s regular routine and giving them the attention they deserve. I believe consistency is important for pets, and I make their comfort, safety, and well-being a priority while they are in my care. 🐾 In My Client’s Home: I care for pets in their familiar environment to help maintain their normal routine and reduce stress. I follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medication administration, potty breaks, and any special care needs. I provide companionship, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention while ensuring the home remains secure and tidy. I also send regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and happy. In My Home: I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment where pets receive individualized attention, exercise, and affection. I maintain their regular feeding and medication schedules, provide supervised playtime, and ensure they have a comfortable place to rest. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marana
Kemma has watched my little guy several times, and this visit was just as great as the others! She's organized, pays close attention to the details, and always keeps me updated, which I really appreciate. I can also tell that he enjoys spending time with her, and it's nice knowing he feels comfortable. This was the longest I've been away from him, but I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing he was happy at home and well taken care of. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Kemma again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable pet sitter.

Amy-Andrea took fantastic care of our three dogs while we were away. In fact, I'm not even sure how much the dogs realized we weren't there ... they were so well taken care of. We also came home to a perfectly clean house, which was truly appreciated (and not expected!) after our travel. Amy-Andrea kept us updated with daily pictures and information about the dogs. And she was very clear about her own work schedule to make sure it fit with our needs. I will absolutely use Amy-Andrea again for any dogsitting needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Marana on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Marana walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Marana maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Marana choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Marana. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
