“We left our two 2 year-old canine companions with Lara and her family, which included four dogs of her own along with several borders, for nine nights. It was the first time we had left them anywhere. They had a fantastic time, playing incessantly with the other dogs. Lara sent us pictures and videos daily that showed clearly how comfortable they were and how much they were enjoying the stay. She has a large property, and the canines were essentially afforded free access to the large back yard as Lara kept a door open. She had several large dog beds around the house, some big enough that our two could sleep together, which improved their sense of comfort. We will definitely use Lara again if the need arises. Lastly, her rate was very reasonable given the outstanding setting and attention given to our two dogs.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid. I finally adopted my own 13 years ago as puppies and rescued 2 in 2021. They are all senior dogs now with special needs- diet and medical. My one is diabetic and requires 2 injections a day. They all take medication and follow a schedule. I work from home which allows me to care for my four dogs. I've been able to cuddle with puppies while watching a movie, wrestle with some teens pups and begrudgingly let them win, and I've taken calm walks around the backyard with a senior dog. Before caring for your pet, I want to understand the important details — their personality, routines, feeding instructions, medications if needed, things they may be nervous around, and anything else that helps me provide the best possible care. During walks and drop-ins, I stay present and attentive rather than treating the visit like something to quickly check off my list. I keep an eye out for potential hazards, make sure doors and gates are secure, follow leash and handling instructions, and never take unnecessary chances with your pet's safety. I also believe that every pet deserves individual care. Some pets need lots of exercise and play, while others need a slower pace, extra patience, or simply someone to sit with them and make them feel secure. I pay attention to those little details because they matter. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind knowing that while your pets are in my care, they are receiving my full attention, patience, love, and care. Because at the end of the day, I’m not just caring for someone’s pet — I’m caring for someone’s family.
About: Having cared for dogs of all personalities and ages for 40 years, we will conscientiously care for your pet as we do our own. Having boarded our own dogs in the past, I know how important it is to respect your wishes in providing everything your pet needs to feel secure, as well as lots of cuddles! Most recent, I cared for our two adult male shepherds in all aspects - training, feeding, walking, nurturing and our two adult cats - training, feeding, activity and nurturing. I am a semi-retired remote bookkeeper and empty nester therefore I am home most of the time and have plenty of time to do drop in visits, walking, house sitting or boarding. My caution level for keeping my pets safe and well cared for is very high. They are part of my family. I focus on their daily feeding schedule, ensure the catbox is kept clean daily, play with them (laser pointer and feather toy) for their exercise, and provide lots of love and cuddles too. When I have our shepherds, I walk them daily and play fetch and tug of war with a ball or rope.
About: I’ve had multiple types of animals since I was a young kid. I’ve raised several litters of labradors, I had a horse ranch for 15 1/2 years, we had six dogs and six cats and 20 horses on the ranch. I had to train the dogs and my barn cat to be around horses, so they wouldn’t get kicked or stepped on. I am retired, so I am pretty flexible for morning visits or walking, also afternoon visits are walking. I can board at my house if needed, I have 5 acres, all fenced, so plenty of room to run if you’d like to bring your pups to the house. I have two very friendly dogs, also two different size crates if they’re needed.

I am very familiar with crates and crate trained animals. I pay close attention to instructions given for food and medications. “We left our two 2 year-old canine companions with Lara and her family, which included four dogs of her own along with several borders, for nine nights. It was the first time we had left them anywhere. They had a fantastic time, playing incessantly with the other dogs. Lara sent us pictures and videos daily that showed clearly how comfortable they were and how much they were enjoying the stay. She has a large property, and the canines were essentially afforded free access to the large back yard as Lara kept a door open. She had several large dog beds around the house, some big enough that our two could sleep together, which improved their sense of comfort. We will definitely use Lara again if the need arises. Lastly, her rate was very reasonable given the outstanding setting and attention given to our two dogs.”
