“Can we give 100 stars? We went to Hawaii and are pretty sure our dog might have had more fun with Lara than we did on our trip. (Which is hard. The trip was awesome.) ?? Our dog is a dog's dog. He loves playing with others pups, and had the chance to do so all week. Every single video she sent showed him just having the best time with the other dogs-- and he even got to go out with the horses on the road! Our dog has A LOT of food issues and it was worrying that he would get into something (he is unable to eat anything except for his specialized food)-- not a problem. She kept him safe and made sure he didn't have anything he wasn't supposed to. Lara and her family are a true dog sitting gem. I need to plan another vacay just so our guy can stay with them again. “Exceptional! Carly is a shy dog with others but because Sheila and David are such "dog people", they sent pics every day of Carly, peacefully laying on their laps! This was the first time ever boarding Carly and she is not used to having other dogs around her but, their own dogs, Mellow and Jaxon were well behaved and welcomed Carly. Mellow even shared his crate with Carly when she wanted a quiet place of "her own". The daily texts and pics were fun and welcome. Their home is perfectly set up for boarding multiple dogs if needed. The outdoor spaces are perfect! Plenty of shade and spacious enough to lounge or run around. I can't recommend Shiela and David more highly. If it is your first time boarding your fur-baby, and you are nervous about it, choose Shiela and David. You can rest assured that your baby, even a baby as shy as Carly, is well cared for with Shiela and David.”

About: I absolutely love cats, and with my own fur babies, have experience with senior cats (giving medication, special diets made to their specifications, pain management/being extra gentle) as well as younger cats and kittens! I could spend hours snuggling with cats or playing with them. I have yet to meet a cat that doesn't warm up to me after a few slow blinks in their direction!

I have rarley met a dog that I wasn't able to build trust with. I am a graduate student whose internship starts on the 27th of July. So I have complete availability then. Outside of that, I am typically free after 5 pm on weekdays and completely free on weekends. I ensure to follow all the rules the pet owner has established. I will use commands and language the dog is familiar with to avoid confusion. I make sure the pets are exercised 2-3 times a day. Cleaned and brushed if needed. I am mindful of water intake and make sure that all pets are kept on their usual schedule.

The only thing that will change for them is the face. I currently work part time and have ample time to provide to your dogs! I prioritize fun and education with my own dogs, and would love to provide that for yours. I love early mornings and late evenings to escape the heat, and I work weekends and holidays. I provide excellent care following the dogs normal routine. I will of course add some extra pets or playtime (it’s a staycation for them), but I ensure all instructions are followed to give them the best time.
About: I am an army veteran and a credentialed veterinary technician with more than 15 years in the field. I currently work at an emergency ICU hospital, and actively pursuing my specialization in emergency and critical care. My husband works from home as a software engineer, so someone is always there. My daughter has been around animals her whole life, and is very trained around all personality types. I also am a certified pharmacy technician, and am well versed with medications and administration. I have spent extensive training in behavior and volunteer with rescues. Special needs dogs that have special personalities or needs are no problem. My goal is to make this experience as smooth, as stress-free as possible and most importantly fun! What to expect out of a visit or stay with us: Our fur babies are just as important as our humans in our families. I will be providing daily picture and video updates, Daily monitoring/report cards for each day in our care, incident reports, and a graduate certificate after each stay. I currently work at am Emergency Veterinary hospital as a relief technician. This means I basically can make and adjust my schedule around as I please. My husband works from home, so there is always someone there to entertain our visitors. I have a fenced in backyard and several gates to segregate different pets. I am trained with the "crate and rotate" method. Meaning if there are dogs that are more nervous, I will let them outside on their own or eat by themselves, but they are able to see through the barriers so they can still socialize until they are more comfortable.
About: I’ve had animals all of my life since I was an infant. They’e ranged from chickens, cows, dogs and cats of course. So I have always had and will have empathy for fur babies. I am a very sentimental person when it comes the vulnerable. I definitely go above and beyond, especially when it pertains to animals and my jobs expectations. Every single video she sent showed him just having the best time with the other dogs-- and he even got to go out with the horses on the road! Our dog has A LOT of food issues and it was worrying that he would get into something (he is unable to eat anything except for his specialized food)-- not a problem. She kept him safe and made sure he didn't have anything he wasn't supposed to. Lara and her family are a true dog sitting gem. I need to plan another vacay just so our guy can stay with them again.
