About: I have had pets all my life. I currently have one dog, but have almost always had cats and I also had bunnies growing up. I trained my own dog when she was a puppy. I work from home so I have a ton of availability and will spend most of your pet’s stay at home with them. I am open to sitting any type of pet and can’t wait for myself and my dog Millie to meet your furbaby! I work from home so I often have an open schedule and love to be home, but also love to be outside with my dog. I take her everywhere I can and would be happy to have your pet join us! I have a backyard and a few grassy/park areas nearby that I take my dog to every day. I take her out multiple times a day for potty and walks.
“Christie and Daniel treated our anxious Milo so well! Through out the day I received pictures and updates for our little guy. I would highly recommend their care to any one of our doggy loving friends! :)”

“Kallie and housemates were fantastic taking care of PJ our 13yr young Dachshund, letting him out for potty/critter breaks. Kallie said PJ was very calm, well mannered, and would love to come again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of all kinds since I was 9 years old. My specialty is fragile seniors with special needs, meds, diets and gentle care. My three girls are not dogs but sweet babies who give us unconditional love and are treasured. We will welcome yours the same way and keep them safe <3 I work out of my home office so this gives me the ability to supervise your pet. They can join mine in my office, we have plenty of comfy spots. I give frequent breaks, time for treats, cuddles and can take them on short walks to our little park (if desired) I also have a pet stroller. I have a fenced in yard with critter fencing and a gate guard. A large turf area perfect for zoomies! My two friendly little malti-pos and a Chinese Crested will be their play pals. They are low key and gentle.
About: I don't think of this as a job. We think of this as a hobby. Doing something that you love. I've been taking care of animals my whole life. Raising puppies into old dogs. Pet sitting and dog walking. Basic grooming and habitant cleaning. Mealtimes and medication administration. Put pet parents at ease with sending texts, photos, and video updates. Also providing post care follow-ups with notes on behaviors, moods, activities, and more. I have also done volunteer work, changing kennels, cages, and beddings. I also was helping with meals, fresh water, and providing exercise and playtime. I work 3 days a week. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. 6 hours a day. For the three days I do work, i work night shift. I have a fenced in front and back yard. They have a acre to play in A doggy door so your little one can come and go as they please (or not). I have an old dog who will keep you dog company.
About: I am Deaf and rely on ASL to communicate. I am an expert at reading body language both in people & animals. I've grown up with many different animals, mostly dogs. I had my own dog starting at age 8. I've taken care of dogs personally and professionally since then. I'd go dogsit neighbors' dogs at their houses and have family/friends' dogs at my house. I walked dogs for two years before COVID happened. I am a work-at-home mom with three kids (9 years old to an infant) and two pups. I am available on weekdays, weekends, days & nights! We are huge pet lovers here. I have three kids to keep your pets stimulated and busy. I also have a fenced yard and a two-story house. We also live close to a dog park if you've taken your dogs to a dog park and are comfortable with me doing so. I have two dogs to play with your dogs. We enjoy going on walks early in the morning and after dinner, so we will bring your dog along! I work from home, so my schedule is flexible. I will adjust my schedule to fit your pup's routine! Either my partner, Alex, and I or both are always home so the dogs are almost never on their own. I can bring my work with me wherever the dogs are, inside & outside. I have a fenced backyard, baby gates throughout the house, a storm door on the front door, several crates (medium & large), and a quiet & safe room upstairs if your pup needs some space. I have a lot of dog toys all around the house, blankets, treats, outdoor activities, etc to help your pup feel safe and comfortable here. I care for many anxious & nervous dogs, so I am well aware of their body language and know exactly what it is they need. If you ask my previous clients, they'd tell you that their anxious dogs warm up to me pretty quickly!
“Tasha and Geordie had a great time at Elizabeth's. This was our first time ever getting a sitter for our dogs so we were a little bit nervous. Elizabeth's warm and easy going attitude immediately put us at ease. It was also great to get a tour of her home so we could see where the dogs would be hanging out. She also sent us photos of them playing. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Leslie took great care of my dog! She sent daily updates and pictures showing that my dog was happy and enjoying her time with her. My dog was excited to go back and it gave me peace of mind.”

“Maple had a great time staying with Carol! Carol is very experienced taking care of dogs and has an excellent setup in her backyard where she has separate fenced in areas where she can either let your dog play with her two cute French bulldogs, or give them time alone. She also shared lots of great pictures during Maple's stay! We would absolutely recommend Carol.”

“Yaneli did a marvelous job keeping our Athena active & happy. Athena enjoyed playing with Yaneli’s dog & being out for an extensive hike. Yaneli really went above & beyond in making sure Athena was exercised & entertained!!!!”

“Stacie is the first sitter I have found that makes me feel 100% comfortable leaving my sweet boy with and Dante LOVES going over to play with pups. Thank you so so much. I feel like I’m leaving him with family each time.”

“Our dog loves staying at Lara's. She is great with all the dogs that visit, and the "open house" set-up, with a variety of exercise and play options, and checking out the horses and pony is a bonus! Lara is flexible and communicates well about scheduling. We live the photos and videos she sends to reassure us that our pup who sometimes has separation anxiety is doing well. Highly recommend Lara for doggie daycare or overnight boarding.”

“Lynda, Roberto and Maria M. we’re fantastic. They immediately put me at ease by showing me their backyard, allowing my dog Bailey to meet their two dogs and they also showed me the areas the dogs rest during the day. They are very genuine and kind people and I could tell they genuinely love dogs. They are open and communicative and sent me pictures, and video throughout the day. Bailey has the tendency to get nervous when we leave her somewhere new and they were wise to keep Bailey busy while I left so that she didn’t notice me go and they gently let her get used to their home at her pace. I will definitely take Bailey again.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
