Your Dog’s Home Away From Home
I’ve always been a dog lover. I grew up in a house with three dogs of different sizes and personalities, which taught me early on how unique each dog can be and how to care for their individual needs. Today, that love continues with my two Shih Tzus, Oliver and Squirt. They’re cousins and share a gentle, affectionate nature—Oliver is especially sweet and loves to snuggle, while Squirt adds his own charm with constant kisses and his signature little tongue-out grin. They both do great with other dogs and are wonderful with kids, which reflects the kind of calm, welcoming environment I provide. Over the years, I’ve also owned and trained two Golden Retrievers, both of whom I trained myself, and I have extensive experience with obedience training using positive reinforcement. I’m an active person who starts each day early with a consistent morning dog-walking routine, and I pay close attention to body language and behavior to understand a dog’s mood, energy level, and needs. I’m experienced with a variety of feeding routines and dietary needs, including dry, wet, and raw diets, as well as managing allergies or weight concerns, and I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. My home is a safe and friendly space where dogs are treated like family, and my two children are gentle, respectful, and enjoy interacting with dogs when appropriate. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos, and I will always follow any specific instructions to make sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.

Josh jumped in quickly to pick up my pup when I got injured! He sent me photos daily and he and his family really adopted Tshaka, this has helped me concentrate on my healing without worrying about my pup. Thank you Josh & family! You’re all awesome!

Schedule
I am available to care, feed, and walk dogs essentially all mornings and evenings. My weekends are mostly open, and I have a fairly flexible schedule during the week that allows me to work from home (when necessary), and provides plenty of time for breaks to let dogs outside to use the bathroom and provide for their needs.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a safe, comfortable, and engaging home that meets the physical, mental, and emotional needs of all different types of dogs. I ensure that they will have access to fresh water at all times and that they receive the appropriate amount of their food, according to a recommended schedule as instructed by their own. We have several cozy beds and other designated sleeping areas, including dog beds, kennels, and crates. We have a fenced-in backyard with space to move around as well as a designated area for using the bathroom. I am happy to provide regular dog walks and have a variety of interactive dog toys to keep things fun and engaging. We have a dog-proof home with a secure yard and quiet neighborhood.
