In your home and in my own, I aim to ensure your pets are comfortable. I do my best to take note of your pet's body language, and will approach in a manner that fits the comfort level of said pet. My first order of business is always to greet the pet(s) briefly. Then, I do the basic tasks (food, water, litter, etc.), and after that I like to sit close by and engage with the pet if they'll allow. I ensure safety by double checking windows, locks, doors, and taking head counts of the pets. I like being able to provide owners with photos of their fur babies to reassure the pets are well-cared for.

I have had cats in my home my entire life, as well as rabbits, tortoises, bearded dragons, parrots, and more. I do my due diligence to research into animal care on a regular basis, and I am well-informed on different animal behaviours. In my late teens, I worked in a couple pet stores; This both helped provide me with a wider background on animal care, but also helped to develop my research skills and ethical decision-making in pet care. I am a full-time online student, so I am just about always home and engaged with my own pets. I will always treat your pet(s) as if they were my own, and provide plenty them with plenty of love!

Mari was absolutely amazing with my sweet kitty Meli! Her updates were super thoughtful, long, and detailed, and it was clear she took such great care of her - it also made me feel so much better since I missed Mel so much! Meli can be really shy and usually takes a while to warm up to new people, but she really came out of her shell with Mari in just 3 days, which says so much!! I felt completely comfortable knowing Meli was in such caring hands. Mari is the best, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter! (':
Over the years I gave seen Mari take care of many animals for friends, family, and her own pets. I have never seen an animal she doesn't love. I would recommend Mari unreservedly to take care of anyone's pets.
