Pet care experience

Quality care for pets of all kinds!

I have been providing pet care services full time since 2021, and have been caring for pets throughout my entire life! I have owned several dogs and have fostered even more, as well as variety of small critters and several reptiles. Currently, I own a 7-year-old cattledog, an 8-month-old orange tabby kitten, and a guinea pig. I have done volunteer work for a few local rescues & shelters, and lately I have been short-term fostering a dog every weekend in an effort to learn more about them and help them find a home! Noteworthy skills: • I have experience with puppies & kittens, senior dogs & cats, and everything in between! • I have owned & cared for a number of exotic critters. • I have experience in administering oral, topical, and injected medications. • I am familiar with caring for animals with various disabilities and special needs. • I know the basics of animal first aid. • I have training experience, and experience with a variety of canine behavioural issues (I have a soft spot for the anxious ones!) While my main focus is catering towards the furry member(s) of your family, I’m committed to creating a safe space for all of my human clients, as well. I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me by LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and disabled families, and I am dedicated to offering compassionate, respectful, and personalized care for folks from all walks of life.

Logan is an outstanding pet sitter! I was very nervous to use Rover for the first time with my two cats but Logan was very quick to respond, professional, courteous, and most importantly the cats loved him!! He sent great updates and I loved the photos, and he took extra care and time in visits to get to know them! I will gladly use his services next time I need and highly recommend Logan as a pet sitter

Schedule

Pet care is currently my full time job ~ and the past 4+ years have been an absolute dream! Whether it's walking, training, sitting, or just dropping in to say "hello", every day is spent taking care of several furry friends around town. My availability for walks and drop-ins is anywhere from 8 or 9AM until 11PM. Because I offer late night visits and overnight sittings, I do not provide services during the early hours of the morning to avoid schedule conflicts. I do accept same-day and/or urgent bookings when my schedule allows (I especially do my best to be accomodating for regular clients), but advance notice can help ensure your pet(s) get the care that they need in the case that I am not available. During the summer vacation months (late June to late August) and holiday season (late October to early January), advance notice is especially appreciated as I can book up pretty quickly during these times of year.

Safety, trust & environment

I always maintain a safe and clean environment for my animal clients! I tidy as I go, and I keep any small or unsafe items out of reach. I always make sure to leave your home in the same condition (or better) than I found it! For added safety, I always have my "job bag" on me which includes things like treats, a doggie water bottle / collapsible bowl, plenty of poo bags, a spare slip leash, some basic pet medical supplies (tweezers, guaze & bandages, etc), and more. Pets

A typical day

Whatever your usual routine is with your pet, I do my best to stick to it! I am very flexible in how my time is spent with your pet, and I always pay close attention to their needs. I love taking dogs for walks and hikes, and have been known to take especially social dogs on outings to pet-friendly locations to pick out toys or treats! Tug-of-war and fetch are always great options for exercise and fun within the home. If your pet is more of a couch potato and would prefer to snuggle up rather than play, I am more than happy to oblige!

Please let me know in advance about any behavioural or medical issues with your pet(s)! Do not be afraid to disclose this information because you are worried that I may not accept a booking ~ for the safety of myself and your pet(s), I like to make sure that I am well informed in every situation. Here are some examples of medical & behavioural issues I like to know about in advance: • Does your pet have any allergies (food/treats, or seasonal)? • Does your pet have a sensitive or nervous tummy, and/or do they have a habit of refusing food while you are away? • Does your pet take any medication? • Does your pet get into or eat things they shouldn't (socks / shoes, garbage, feces / litterboxes, etc)? • Is your pet an escape artist (tries to slip out when coming in the front door, slipping out of collars / harnesses, getting out of kennels, digging or jumping to escape an enclosed yard, etc)? • Is your dog reactive (towards people, dogs, animals, cars, etc)? • Does your pet resource guard (food, treats, toys, etc, from humans or other pets)?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
