“Josephine was an excellent sitter and went above and beyond for our dog Hazel. Her updates were detailed and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. I would feel very comfortable rebooking her in the future, and appreciated the level of care she had. Thanks again, Josephine!”

“Alora has been amazing with us and our puppy. Has been consistent, attentive, and supportive of our requests for our pup. Has always been in great communication and rapport! Definitely recommend her!”

“Absolutely outstanding! A real pleasure to work with and took great care of our pupper. Thank you so much for all the updates, pictures, and for working with all of our chaos!”

“Marie really helped me out and made me feel at ease. It was one of my cat's first time alone, and since he is so dependent on human interaction, she gave him lots of extra attention. Since I wasn't sure about how he would do alone, her offering herself up for extra visits made me feel so much better about the trip. As a Rover sitter myself, I'm very picky about who I book with-- Marie was super professional and helpful, and you should definitely book with her!”

“Allie was very responsive, helpful, and accommodating. She even added a visit to make sure our cat got back in the house after he escaped when we were leaving. Highly recommend!”

About: I am a dog lover. I have a pool that is available if your dog likes to swim. I live on 5 acres near the east end of Broadway. Your dog will be part of our family....sleep in our bedroom, go for walks, have playtimes and hang out in the family room. I bred Labs and Cairn Terriers for 12 yrs. We raised our pups indoors so they were happy and socialized. I have also volunteered for several years at Handi-Dogs helping special needs owners train their dogs. You are more than welcome to contact me with any questions. I suggest a ‘meet n greet’. My dog has never met a dog she didn’t like so please come and meet us. I look forward to meeting you. Thank you Most days I am home all the time. I occasionally run to the market or an appointment and if that happens I’m only gone for an hour or an hour and a half. During that time I make sure that all the dogs are separate I spend lots of group time and individual time with your dog. If your dog gets along well with others we play lots of games outside
“Tiffany was absolutely amazing!!! She went above and beyond in taking care of my kitties, even when I accidentally threw a few curve balls at her. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a loving person to watch their animals and look forward to using her services again in the future. :)”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was little and have experience with dogs, cats, and birds. Over the years, friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to look after their pets, and I take pride in providing attentive and loving care. I enjoy making sure every animal feels safe, happy, and well-cared for while their owners are away. I’m in school and get out around noon, and I work part-time on weekends. I’ll make sure your pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and care—they’ll be happy, safe, and well-looked after while you’re away. Safety and trust come first. I’m clean, organized, and respectful of your home—you’ll come back to it just as you left it. Your dogs will get plenty of exercise on walks and lots of attention and affection while staying comfortable and happy at home.
“Larry is simply amazing. From being professional to ensuring he is following your instructions and on time, I have been happy to use Larry multiple times, often on short notice which Larry is typically able to accommodate within an hour or two of when you requested he be there for your previous pups/pup. Still highly recommend this person as a professional dog trainer of over 25 years.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was in elementary school. I grew up with golden retriever, golden doodles and border collies on our farm. Now I have my own golden retriever and bernedoodle that are my best companions. We love to go on long walks and travel to all the state and national parks! I’m happy to take dog walking clients on weekends and holidays. I work Monday through Thursday otherwise normal business hours in the clinic from 7-5. I love playing fetch with the pups and cuddle time. I like to do basic training such as sit, stay, roll over, lay down. My bernedoodle is high energy so I’m used to exercising dogs and taking long walks.
“Cassidy helped us when we were in a pinch! I was able to book with her last minute and she loved on our sweet pup! So very thankful for her. She communicated with me throughout her visits as well which provided the reassurance that our girl was comfortable and taken care of.”
“Rachel did an absolutely outstanding job house sitting for us! She played with our kitties and gave them lots of snuggles while we were away. I am so relieved to come home and know my fur kids were well taken care of. She was very professional too and I had full confidence in her. We will DEFINITELY rebook with her in the future and will be recommending her to our friends and families! Thank you so much Rachel!!”

About: I've taken care of them all, big and small! I offer personalized attention to suit each dog's unique personality and needs. My goal is to ensure your dog feels happy, loved, and safe while you're away. I always offer photo/video updates to keep the owner at ease! I currently work full time but I have evenings off and Fridays and Saturdays! Drop-in visits and walks are certainly doable, and I will always make time on weekends. I would prefer the pets to be in their own home where they are comfortable, as I live in a one bedroom apartment with my own animals.
About: Providing expert, high-level care for pets with complex needs. Whether your companion is senior, disabled, exotic, requires daily medication, or needs cautious handling for behavioral traits, I offer safe, knowledgeable, and dedicated care. A pet fits smoothly into my weekly schedule. Although I work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, I wake up early for morning routines and am fully free after 5:00 PM for evening care. My job is extremely flexible if an animal ever needs mid-day attention. Weekends are ideal, as I have full availability to provide attentive care all day and night. When pets enter an unfamiliar setting, I give them a quiet room to adjust at their own pace, maintaining their normal routine with periodic check-ins until they feel safe. In their home, I stick strictly to their schedule and give them space to relax. Every animal is different, so whether a pet is cuddly or standoffish, I respect their boundaries and offer love on their terms while keeping you updated on feeding, outside time, and behavior.
“Nicole is wonderful! She was available for a fairly last-minute holiday booking, which can be tough to come by, especially at the level of quality service she provided. I was so lucky to find her! She really paid attention to my wants and needs, and made extra efforts to reassure me about any of my bigger worries. I could tell from her pictures that my cats really enjoyed their play time with Nicole! :3 I'll definitely be booking with her in the future.”

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:

- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
