Pet care experience

Fenced yard and flexible schedule

Hi there! I’m Elena, a lifelong animal lover with nearly a decade of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I grew up in a big, pet-filled household, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me—whether it was feeding the family fish before school, walking our energetic dogs, or cuddling up with our cats. Since 2017, I’ve been trusted by families and friends to care for their pets. Since 2020, I have fostered cats and dogs personally and through rescue organizations. I’ve worked with large and small dogs, cats, and fish, and I’m confident in handling pets with a wide range of needs, including high-energy pets, daily medication administration, post-surgery care, puppy/kitten routines and senior-pet routines. What sets me apart is my engineering background—I’m detail-oriented, dependable, communicative, and calm under pressure. You can count on me to follow instructions precisely, maintain your pet’s routines, and stay proactive about their safety and comfort. What You Can Expect: Clear, consistent communication and photo updates Patience and understanding with shy, senior, or special-needs pets A clean, respectful approach to your home and routines Safe walks, attentive care, and lots of affection (if your pet wants it!) Whether you need dog sitting, cat care, drop-ins, or walks, I’m here to give your pet the same love and attention I give my own. I’d love to meet you and your furry family member!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

When pets stay in my home, their safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I have a spacious home and a fenced-in yard, for supervised outdoors time, that’s divided into two sections—a pool side and a dog-yard side—so I can easily separate pets when needed. Over the years, I’ve fostered both dogs and cats while caring for my own pets, which has taught me how to maintain calm, structured, and stress-free environments even with multiple animals. I use baby gates, separate rooms, puppy pens, dog crates, and established training routines to create flexible spaces tailored to each pet. I’m able to safely keep pets apart or gradually introduce them, depending on what you prefer and what your pet is comfortable with. Whether your pet needs their own quiet area, supervised social time, or individualized feeding or medication routines, I set up the home environment to match those needs. I do prefer to care for pets in their homes, since most of the time it is less stressful for them. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I respect and follow your established routines closely. I make sure your pet gets consistent meals, walks, playtime, and any specific care instructions you provide. I always treat your home with care and respect, keep things tidy, and give your pet plenty of attention and affection so they feel secure while you’re away. No matter the service, I prioritize safety, communication, and personalized care so your pet feels at home.

We love having Elena come drop in on Rocky when we are out for the day. She does a wonderful job and always takes great pictures of him being goofy. Highly recommend!

Elena took excellent care of our dog while we were out of town. She communicated well, and sent lots of cute pics of our dog while we were traveling. It was our first time using a sitter so we were a bit nervous, but after the first night I knew Rocky was in good hands. Will definitely be using her again!

Elena was thoughtful and communicative during her time watching over my dogs, which gave me immense relief whenever I leave my dogs behind for a trip. Highly recommended! Thanks!

Elena went above and beyond taking care of our 2 big dogs and cat while we were away for a week. Communication was excellent and Elena anticipated needs the dogs would have (letting them in early because of fireworks, etc.) without any prompting from me. We were also sent tons of pictures and Elena was very punctual every day as well. We will definitely be hiring Elena again!

Schedule

I work part-time, which gives me a lot of flexibility to fit pet care naturally into my week. I love starting or ending my day with dog walks, check-ins, or some quality playtime. And since I’m not fostering right now, I have the extra time and attention to focus fully on your pet’s needs—whether that’s medication, exercise, or just lots of love.
