Safety, trust & environment
I like to have conversations about what will make families and clients most at ease at the beginning of our time working together, and then follow through to make sure trust is built quickly and deeply. This can include following special protocols, providing lots of photos and videos, and calling or texting immediately if something arises that I don't yet know the answer to, such as how to help an animal through a surprise stressful situation or where a favorite toy might be hiding. I am engaged and attentive and learn animals' boundaries and interests quickly and easily.
Information Adriane A. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know what their favorite activities, toys, and self-soothing behaviors are, as well as the best way to distract them if they get nervous or anxious. I'd also love to know any allergies or extreme anxieties, of course, including eating habits, friendliness with other animals, and how they express territorial boundaries. Basically, any non-verbal cues that you are familiar with that can help me to understand your dog more quickly and fully!
A typical day
I love to take dogs to the most engaging places for their size, ability and interests! I'll find out where your dogs are used to walking and definitely start to build our relationship there. After some trust building and bonding, I'd love to take your dog on hikes or to dog parks, or to teach them new tricks and give them new tasks to master - all within your comfort zones, and theirs. It is a full time job to keep pets engaged, so I love to work in different AND familiar environments to stimulate their mental and physical capacities and development! For cats and other animals - I meet them where they are at and engage them according to their interests, as well. I love teaching all sorts of animals new tricks - especially teaching kitties how to play hide and seek!

Pet care experience
I'm a lover of every animal I've ever met, with a background in pediatrics, medication administration, foster animal care, neo-natal pet care, first aid and pet/house sitting. I've personally had cats and dogs since I was very young, other small animals as pets as an adult (rats, chickens, goats) and have spent much of my life caring for the pets of friends and loved ones when I couldn't have pets of my own. I love to provide training for young kittens and pups, and have a special love for elderly and special needs animals. We are new to Tucson and hoping to meet and care for as many animals as possible! I am a consultant who works remotely and also own a home in Tucson, complete with my own pets. As such, I have a strict policy of honoring my clients' trust and delivering the quality of care that I would hope for our own home and loved ones.

I can’t say enough good things about Adriane! I was out of the country for two weeks and she took such good care of Charlie. She shared updates and photos every day. He had recently lost his brother and had never been apart from him in almost 12 years. It was also the longest time I’ve ever left him so I was extremely anxious about leaving him. Our flight was also delayed an extra day and she was flexible and offered to stay until we returned. The house was immaculate when we returned as well. It was so nice to be able to enjoy my vacation without worrying about Charlie. Adriane will always be my first choice for a sitter from now on.

Adriane was absolutely fantastic. We have 2 very large dogs that needed very specific care and she went above and beyond. We also have two cats and she went above and beyond with them as well. Excellent communication. Couldn’t have asked for better care for our animals. 6/5 ⭐️

Adriane house sat for our two older dogs for six days. She was AMAZING!! She is so attentive and thorough. She sent pictures twice a day and handled several difficult issues with our dogs ..I trust her completely! Also, our house was tidy and the sheets that she used were washed when I arrived home. She is also a very caring and lovely person. We consider ourselves lucky to have found her as our dogs pet sitter!!!

We have had 5 different dog watchers over the last six years with Rover and Adriane by far exceeded every expectation! From the interview and through the entire process it has been great! Felt an instant connection and leaving our pups and home under her care was easy! Keeping us informed of how the pups were doing with photos, we could see what a great bond she made with them both! For all our travel needs we definitely will reach out to her first because of her exceptional care!
