“Marlene is wonderful with my boys! This is the 4th time we have used her services. One cat needs meds 2x a day and she is a pro getting him to take it! She arrives on time and interacts with them as much as they want along with feeding and scooping! Thank you Marlene!”

“Andrea is a gem! I’m so happy I found her and met with her to potentially visit our frenchies. She was so organized and took notes and kept in consistent contact with me. Very punctual and appears to really love dogs. One Frenchie is alpha and very protective and it seemed that she was able to interact and take her potty on a leash and stroll her and play with her afterwards in our condo with no problems. Lucy, the Frenchie, got a great report card from Andrea. I think Andrea will come back. We are only part-time residents in Madeira Beach but I will definitely reach out to book her again. Makes my life so much easier. Thank you Andrea for being a dog lover and doing this service. 🥰”

“Devin and Kylie were incredible! They left extremely thoughtful reviews and pictures during each of their visits. This was the first time I ever used Rover and we could not be happier with how it went. We highly recommend Devin & Kylie and will certainly use them again! Your pets are in great hands with them.”

“Brittany was amazing!! She took amazing care of my fur babies the entire time, my flight home got delayed and she still got up and took care of them. I wouldn’t trust anybody with my. babies more than her!!!”

“It gave me a lot of comfort that Lily was being loved on and cared for by Anika. In fact I sensed a bit of disappointment when I came through my door lol Thanks again, Anika, much appreciated! Steve”

“Dylan went above and beyond to get to our house to take good care of our sweet rabbit for 9 days during a huge winter storm. He shoveled and had to walk in from the road due to all the snow and he kept us up to date daily.”

About: With a background in Search and Recovery (SAR) training, I offer more than just a walk around the block. I’ve spent my life living with and learning from breeds of all shapes and sizes - from the stubborn charm of Bulldogs to the high intelligence of German Shepherds. Whether your dog is a high energy athlete or a puppy still learning the ropes, I provide a structured, safe, and engaging environment. I also specialize in board and trains meaning I understand how to communicate with dogs effectively. I am currently raising my own GSD puppy and managing two cats, so I am an expert at multi-pet household dynamics and “puppy chaos” management. I work from home so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your fur kids! I’m available all day and tend to my own animals all day (and sometimes night) as well. I have a fenced yard and a friendly GSD puppy who can cuddle and play. I have a dedicated “animal room” where your pups crate will go so they can relax after a long day of fun.
“Cassandra was very fast to respond to any messages I left her and asked great questions… a thoughtful, prepared, and experienced sitter! My cat loved playing with her during her drop-in visits! I would recommend Cassandra to pet owners in need of a sitter.”

“This is our second time using Kim to watch our Abby. Once again she was fantastic. Her communication and thoroughness is impeccable. Abby was so happy when we got home, I know she was taken care of so well. Thanks Kim!”

“Elise was able to help me out last minute with a morning visit with my pup Nala, and executed on time and exactly as asked. Also got a few cute pictures, thank you! 😊”

“Christine is so dependable and provides great care to our dog! She also makes it so easy for us to leave town, even dog sitting when we have last minute things come up!! So blessed to have found her!”

About: I had my dog from age 6-18 and I was her main caretaker. I taught her a lot of tricks, so I am familiar with a lot of common commands. She was so special to me, so I can ensure that I will always treat your pets with the most kindness and respect to honor that bond. I am currently going to college, but I have a lot of flexibility. It is summer so classes are not currently running, and I have more time to care for animals! While boarding, I have a fenced in yard as well as a nice neighborhood for walks. Either while boarding or pet sitting, I make sure that I learn their routines from you and make sure that I follow them as closely as possible.
“Alexandria was great with our pups!! She came to the meet & greet and asked great questions that made us feel comfortable with her taking care of our pups. She was very responsive for any question or check ins we had. Definitely recommend!!”

“Sam did a great job, despite Freddie's shyness. She sent me pictures of him (hiding) every day. I have cameras, so could see her coming and going and trying to lure him out to play. I hope to have her sit again next month.”

“Excellent care and attention! Nastasia is very loving and caring with my Chihuahua Rasta- and I absolutely love getting all the photo and video updates! I can tell my puppy is happy to have her come hang out with her!”

“Shannon is wonderful! Our pets loved her and she did a wonderful job making sure they all got love and attention while we were away. She even went the extra mile doing little extras that made her an exceptional sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Pasadena
Wow. I am completely satisfied. Kim did an amazing job caring for my pet. I enjoyed getting the updates with each visit as well as the photos. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for this service. Definitely five star service, happy dog and happy customer here.

As a first time user of Rover, I am completely satisfied. Andrea went above and beyond and did an amazing job watching my dog. It was great to get the updates with each visit and the photos. I would definitely recommend Andrea. I would give more stars if I could.

Our 7-year-old American Bulldog has always been a challenge to find care for. Until now, the only person we trusted to watch him was my brother-in-law. Our dog gets protective and anxious when we leave, and because of his size, many people are understandably hesitant to come into our home without us there. Dan went above and beyond by taking the time to meet our dog several times before our trip and doing a few trial visits to build trust. His patience, kindness, and calm demeanor made all the difference, and he ended up being the perfect fit for our pup. Knowing we had someone we could truly rely on gave us such peace of mind while we were away. We no longer have to stress about leaving town, and that is priceless. Dan is amazing, and we couldn't recommend him more highly. We can't wait to use his services again in the future!

Alison was so awesome! My dogs absolutely loved her and when I came home from my trip I could tell they really enjoyed their time with her while I was away. Alison was especially considerate with my senior dachshund who I was quite nervous to leave, but her separation anxiety was minimal thanks to all the love she got from Alison! Alison was great with juggling the needs of her along with my high energy 4 year old Irish setter. We will definitely be repeat clients!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
