About: I have had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, bearded dragons, you name it. I am the go-to to call for taking care of your beloved animal. I understand and will fulfill every little preference someone has when I handle their fur baby. What is most important is the animal and owner are happy and comfortable. I am currently studying for the Florida Bar! I just graduated law school in May. I am looking to do something I love and earn a few extra bucks while I am not able to work. I currently just have my 3 guinea pigs because my dog passed away last year and I miss being around them. I live in an area that has sidewalks and people constantly walk there dogs because it’s a safe environment. My apartment has a fenced in grassy area that I can utilize either trying to find the dog a playmate or making sure he’s separate if needed.

About: I am a friend to all animals!! I'm from Florida so I love all kinds of wildlife and have a big appreciation for nature and love to be outdoors, love to take pets on long walks and go to the beach with them. I love all dogs big and small, so I can handle a few different dogs on a walk. I'm fine with any activity level, dogs who like to nap all day or dogs who need to be taken out multiple times. I am also the worlds biggest cat person as I currently am mom to 3 cats, Sasha, Isis, and Frank!! I do absolutely wonderful with cats and am very good at taking care of them and understanding their needs, their boundaries, and their social cues. I've also had bunnies, fish, turtles, and birds as well so my love for animals goes deep and I have experience with a lot. I understand how important they are to us so I would take care of any pet like they are my own and will make sure they are given lots of affection I work from home so I can take care of pets every day. I wake up at 7 am to begin taking care of my cats. I have availabilities 7 days a week. If your pet has a specific routine just fill me in on the details and I will treat them as if they were my own! I live in a home with a backyard and multiple rooms for space for pets. I live in a pet friendly neighborhood where I can walk dogs for miles and miles! If a pet requires any type of specific space, I have room to provide it for them.
“Heather did an awesome job! She took really good care of my baby and went out of her way to build a bond with him. She sent daily pictures. I highly recommend her!”

About: I had my dog from age 6-18 and I was her main caretaker. I taught her a lot of tricks, so I am familiar with a lot of common commands. She was so special to me, so I can ensure that I will always treat your pets with the most kindness and respect to honor that bond. I am currently going to college, but I have a lot of flexibility. “We could not be happier about leaving Devin to take care of our dogs. From building a great rapport with them to plenty of pictures and reporting each visit, Devin has proven to be the confident choice to leave them with again in the future. Thank you Devin for the peace of mind you gave us for our trip.”

“I cannot recommend Tessa highly enough! From the moment we first reached out, her responsiveness was exceptional. Appointment requests were always answered within minutes, making scheduling incredibly easy and stress-free. One of our biggest concerns was having someone we could truly trust in our home—and this sitter exceeds all expectations. She respected our space, kept everything tidy, and we always felt completely comfortable knowing our dog was in such capable and reliable hands. What truly sets Tessa apart is her remarkable attentiveness to our dog’s special needs. Our aging Weimaraner has a unique diet and medication schedule and some specific behavioral quirks, but Tessa took the time to learn every detail and made sure our dog felt happy and safe. We regularly received thoughtful updates, photos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while away. If you’re searching for a quick-to-respond, trustworthy, and attentive pet sitter, look no further. Our experience has been nothing short of outstanding!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Gulfport
Sam is an absolute gem!! I have worked with pet sitters for decades and never had as positive an experience as we did with her. She is not only punctual, thorough, communicative, and an absolutely lovely person, but she went above and beyond spending time with our cat Daisy, sending pictures and videos for each visit, and ensuring that she did everything she could to make our sweet girl feel loved and cared for in our absence. This is definitely a calling for her and we are so grateful to have met her. I would highly recommend Sam to anyone with any pet needs of any kind! She’s as good as it gets 🐾❤️

Alison was so awesome! My dogs absolutely loved her and when I came home from my trip I could tell they really enjoyed their time with her while I was away. Alison was especially considerate with my senior dachshund who I was quite nervous to leave, but her separation anxiety was minimal thanks to all the love she got from Alison! Alison was great with juggling the needs of her along with my high energy 4 year old Irish setter. We will definitely be repeat clients!

Cassandra was an amazing sitter for our cat. We were nervous since this was the first time our cat was traveling with us and the first time we used Rover but Cassandra did everything she could to make us feel comfortable and spent extra time making sure our cat was cared for and she went above and beyond! I would recommend her and use her again. Five stars. Thank you!

Sara did a great job with our drop-in visits. I accidentally gave her the wrong lockbox code. She stayed patient and figured it out. Whew! Really impressive! She was punctual, communicative, and easy to work with throughout. I’d definitely recommend her and would book again.

Heather visited with Ruby before and were friends from the beginning. She was on time at the agreed hours and took care of Ruby with no issues. I found her to be friendly, reliable and pampering towards Ruby. I would not hesitate to have her take care of Ruby anytime. Thanks Heather, till next time!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
