“Rachel was an awesome sitter for our two cats. She gave lots of updates and photos and I felt so much better knowing they were safe and taken care of on our trip. Will definitely book again :)”

“Cohlee really saved us in a last minute request to come and take care of my two boys multiple times over the weekend. I received great communication, photos, and confirmation the dogs were eating. My mind was at ease and I was able to enjoy a last minute vacation because of Cohlee!!!”

About: I’ve been around animals all my life (born and raised on my family farm in Pennsylvania). My family has always had a dog and as an adult, I’ve had 4 Golden Retrievers. I absolutely love dogs. :) I am recently retired from the tech industry so my schedule can be very accommodating. I am available as early as 8am and up to 7pm. When I meet any new animal, I always allow them to greet me when they are ready. I will sit on the floor and allow them to feel comfortable before I approach them.
“We are so lucky to have found Kim!! My wife and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, caring, and knowledgeable pet sitter. She sends hilariously detailed reports of her visits with our cats and the fun they get up to. We completely feel at ease knowing she is looking after our cats. We can’t praise her enough!”

About: I grew up with my family raising Pugs and have had an English bulldog and currently a Frenchie. So I have a special love for smush faces but I don’t discriminate. Always have had love for dogs and will treat your dogs as if they were my own. I have a flexible work schedule and I work from home during the week. I want to take advantage of this flexibility and get more love from your fur babies. My dog loves to spend the day napping in my bed. He’s pretty docile and lazy during the day until night time rolls around and the zoomies kick in. I have a large backyard where they can roam and play.
About: I have had cats and dogs of all sizes my whole life! My mother is a veterinarian so i have grown up loving and taking care of pets. I currently do not work Fridays-mondays giving me plenty of time to look after pets. I love long walks and would much rather do that with a furry friend. My mother is a veterinarian so growing up, the animals safety and wellbeing has always been extremely important and something that always comes first. Thanks to her, I feel very comfortable taking on the responsibility of others beloved pets.
“Sam was AMAZING!! My cat doesn’t warm up to anyone quickly and Sam had her cuddling in no time. Communicative, caring, lots of photos/videos so I knew my baby was well taken care of. So grateful! Highest recommendation!!”

“Lisa did a fantastic job dropping in and making sure my two cats were fed and doing well. This is my second time Lisa has helped me when I needed someone to watch my fur babies. Will definitely rebook again. I highly recommend her to be your next pet caretaker”

About: Hi! I've been taking care of furry friends since I was 11! I’m kept on my toes by my 1 year old mini dachshund, Koda, who I've raised since he was a baby. I also have experience with senior care through my little old man, Hawkeye. I'm a current law student and young professional and I would love to help others who need some pet lovin’ worked into their busy schedules! There's no puppy too energetic, sleepy, or playful!! My pup has separation anxiety so I am very familiar with pets sometimes needing a bit of extra care. When your furry friend is with me, they will be my #1 priority and receive all of my attention and love! I'm currently in law school, and working part time, and would love to work with you to find how we can work pet care into our schedules! I have a fully fenced back yard, and gates that can be used inside my home. I have a friendly, if not sometimes shy, mini dachshund that loves playing with smaller dogs especially or just sleeping on the couch all day! We’re both comfortable with and enjoy any level of play.
“Brittany was amazing!! She took amazing care of my fur babies the entire time, my flight home got delayed and she still got up and took care of them. I wouldn’t trust anybody with my. babies more than her!!!”

“Brianna went above and beyond to care for and play with my fur babies. She communicated clearly and sent photos. It is such a relief to know your pets are in caring hands!”

About: Hi, I’m Kim! I’m a 30-year-old lawyer who works from home and has a deep passion for caring for animals. I have two wonderful dogs of my own and have fostered several dogs over the years, giving me plenty of experience with different breeds and temperaments. With over 15 years of pet care experience, I offer overnight sitting, daily walks, and plenty of love and attention for your pets while you’re away. I’ve also cared for cats, including newborn kittens that needed nursing, so I’m comfortable providing specialized care for pets of all ages. Whether it’s daily walks or extended overnight stays, your pets will feel safe, loved, and well cared for in my hands. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members! I work from home on MWF so I am very flexible with dog walking availability! As far as overnight stays in my home, I do not have any day limitations. If dogs are crate trained, I will leave them in the crate if I am leaving the house just to make sure they feel safe. I have a closed in backyard. For new dogs, I will keep them on the leash the first time they are down there just to gauge their temperament.
“Thomas was amazing. When he initially came to meet our dog they had an instant connection. Throughout the process, I was updated with photos and messages on how things were going. I will definitely book with Thomas again!”

“Rachel was absolutely great with our dog and cat. They were both well taken care of and we were given very detailed and timely updates. Will definitely be booking her again in the future!”
About: "I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 12 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I began pet boarding and sitting when I was 17 and I have experience in pet training and behavioralism. I work remotely so I have plenty of time to play with pups! Typically I give 3-5 walks per day depending on the pup and their energy levels. THIS IS A CRATE FREE HOUSEHOLD I ensure that all of the pets I care for have a comfortable and enjoyable space while in my care. I take all my dogs for walks at least three times a day (every 3-4 hours) and I make sure that they are fed and hydrated throughout the day.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Petersburg
Sam was so amazing with my girls, if I could leave more than 5 stars I would! She is timely, accommodated all normal routines, does well with my older dog who needs extra care and medications, and sent me so many updates it truly felt like my babies were in the best care! If anyone is like me who is normally anxious leaving their pets with someone new or unfamiliar, fear not! Sam will give your babies plenty of love and attention and it will show! I can’t even being to express my gratitude! Highly recommend!

Alix was fantastic! We received wonderful photo updates and detailed notes during every drop-in visit, which were twice daily. Alix followed every instruction perfectly, handled medications for two of our cats with ease, and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend!"
Amy watched over our pups for two straight weeks while we were away visiting family. She routinely went out of her way to make sure they were happy and healthy (even visiting them a little more when there were thunderstorms!) and stayed in communication with me through everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to give us piece of mind that our babies were cared for ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
