About: I have been surrounded by animals since I was a child, from dogs, to cats, to guinea pigs, to horses. As the owner of an amazing Collie, I understand the anxiety many pet parents have when it comes to leaving their pets in someone else's care. That's why I personalize each visit to meet your pets exact needs and wants, so you can focus on whatever needs your attention while your pet receive the love and attention they deserve! I am a freelance media producer who works from home, with complete control over my scheduling. I love being active and outside, so a walk with your pet or a home-visit is perfect! I have a car and a flexible schedule that allows me to go anywhere and everywhere. For home-visits, let me know the dos and don'ts of your property, and I will respect it as I do my own. Please provide a list of instructions for whatever you need and want done for your pet!

“Devin has again made it possible for us to get away without worrying about our dogs. He always sends pictures and an update which is very comforting. We would gladly recommend him for pet sitting.”

“Melanie was wonderful! I could tell instantly that she has a love for all animals and pets. She was great with my fur babies which included: my dog, cat, and rabbit! She is extremely outgoing and if I could give a 10 star review I would. You will not be disappointed if you select her to care for your fur babies. I will be using her again in the future.”

About: Experienced sitter in St Pete, FL willing to go above and beyond for your pets. I have previously worked in a doggy daycare setting with dogs of all sizes :) I currently work M-F from 11am-5pm at The Hive Community Clay! I am free on my lunch break and outside of these hours. Pets need quality time, too! Beyond caring for their basic needs, I’ll make sure your pets get lots of playtime and lots of affection.
“Michelle was very communicative and flexible when our flight got delayed and needed her one more time on the last day. We appreciate all her help with the fur babies!”

About: I hope to become the next best friend for your fur babies. As a dedicated cat and dog caretaker, I understand that every pet is the true ruler of their household, and I am there to serve their royal needs :) Whether your companion prefers playtime, scratches, or a walk, I will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you are away. My goal is to keep your pet happy and your home secure. With regular updates, photos, and videos, you will feel confident that your pet is in caring hands. I am still relatively new to the professional pet-sitting world, but I have had pets, both dogs and cats, my entire life. I have been helping my friends and family with various pet-sitting needs, as well. My husband and I currently have two wonderful senior cats who have very different personalities, past life experiences, and challenges, as we adopted both from a shelter. We are planning to adopt a dog in the future as well, but we don't have one right now, and I really miss this special dog-human partnership, which is why I am really excited to become friends with your dog :) I believe that pets are our true friends and family members, and I will always treat your pets with the same care and respect. I am very reliable and detail-oriented, so you can definitely count on me. I work from home and make my own schedule, which is why I can be available almost any day and at any time, unless I am traveling. I offer cat and dog sitting services in your house, as well as dog walks. I do not offer boarding at our house, at least not yet, because we have two senior cats with very different personalities, and their comfort and safety are our priority. During my visit, I can also bring in your mail, water your plants, etc. To start a job, I will familiarize myself with the information that pet parents have already provided on the platform. I will continue with a free meet-and-greet to learn about your pet's routine, personality, favorite activities, and any special needs.
“Thank you, Amy, for dropping in on Rasta. He was fed, let outside, and in the presence of good company! 🤗 Every time I tell him she will be checking in, he definitely gets excited, which helps me feel less guilty about not being with him for extending periods of time. 🥲”

About: I have always been the go-to person my friends and family ask to watch their fur babies, from quick visits to overnight stays. I have a very anxious fur baby at home who is my whole world, and know how nerve wrecking it can be leaving your beloved pet with someone new. I am happy to go above and beyond to ensure your pet is safe, happy and well cared for! I currently am in school full time and have a lot of evenings open as well as gap days. There are many windows of time where I am free and able to give your pet my undivided attention and love! I have a large home that does not have a fenced in yard, but does have a screened in porch that lots of pups have enjoyed laying in the sun and looking out the windows of! :) I am in the Gulfport art district and can easily access anyone in that area. I am VERY committed to your pets safety and happiness in my home.
About: I’ve always been the go-to person in my family and friend groups to rely on to watch and care for cats and dogs of all sizes for years! I’m super passionate about animals and love being able to provide pet parents with the relief knowing their babies are well taken care of. I currently go to school in the mornings, and work part time but I’m usually free weekdays after 1 pm and all day weekends for visits. I’m available for overnight stays any day. I’m unable to care for pets in my home, but I will gladly come to yours where they feel their safest to provide care and company for them.
“Miles was not only very accommodating on last minute changes but also communicative with us through the 5 days we needed the drop in visits for our cats. They took great care of our babies, played and scooped the litter on daily basis. Plus the pictures and videos they sent us were supper adorable! We will definitely reach out to Miles again for future services.”

“Dan was great - a good communicator, and took great care of our cat a Phoenix. He was attentive, sent photos, and followed instructions to keep ants out of our cats food. Highly recommend!”

About: "I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 12 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I began pet boarding and sitting when I was 17 and I have experience in pet training and behavioralism. I work remotely so I have plenty of time to play with pups! Typically I give 3-5 walks per day depending on the pup and their energy levels. THIS IS A CRATE FREE HOUSEHOLD I ensure that all of the pets I care for have a comfortable and enjoyable space while in my care. I take all my dogs for walks at least three times a day (every 3-4 hours) and I make sure that they are fed and hydrated throughout the day.
“We had never left our pets in another's care for longer than two days, and even then it was always with a close friend. A week? For our skittish cats? With a stranger? Unthinkable, but it had to be done. Laura not only took great care of our skittish cats but she helped sooth their skittish owners' nerves, as well. Her daily updates were timely and thorough. I highly recommend her services, particularly for those with nervous cats and who may themselves be nervous cat people.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Petersburg
Amy watched over our pups for two straight weeks while we were away visiting family. She routinely went out of her way to make sure they were happy and healthy (even visiting them a little more when there were thunderstorms!) and stayed in communication with me through everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to give us piece of mind that our babies were cared for ❤️

Our 7-year-old American Bulldog has always been a challenge to find care for. Until now, the only person we trusted to watch him was my brother-in-law. Our dog gets protective and anxious when we leave, and because of his size, many people are understandably hesitant to come into our home without us there. Dan went above and beyond by taking the time to meet our dog several times before our trip and doing a few trial visits to build trust. His patience, kindness, and calm demeanor made all the difference, and he ended up being the perfect fit for our pup. Knowing we had someone we could truly rely on gave us such peace of mind while we were away. We no longer have to stress about leaving town, and that is priceless. Dan is amazing, and we couldn't recommend him more highly. We can't wait to use his services again in the future!

Elise is wonderful! She is a confident and caring handler, and we can always trust that Maggie is in good hands. Elise is knowledgeable, calm and comfortable (due to her experience) with ecollar training, which is very important to us. She reinforces all of the training that we are doing with Maggie, which is a godsend. She communicates any changes in her behavior, and questions the changes she should if something seems out of the normal. Elise also let's us know the improvements she sees, which is invaluable. Knowing that what we work on with her, carries through when we are not around is something that matters to us when it comes to Maggie's development and growth. We love having Elise be part of our puppy team, and you will be happy having her on yours as well!

Alison was so awesome! My dogs absolutely loved her and when I came home from my trip I could tell they really enjoyed their time with her while I was away. Alison was especially considerate with my senior dachshund who I was quite nervous to leave, but her separation anxiety was minimal thanks to all the love she got from Alison! Alison was great with juggling the needs of her along with my high energy 4 year old Irish setter. We will definitely be repeat clients!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
