“My partner and I went on a last minute trip. We could not find boarding for our pup. We came on the app and began to message people. Armando responded within minutes. During his visits he was very patient and followed our requests. He sent us updates after every visit. He actually spent the 30mins with our dog on every visit. We are very pleased with his services.”

“Melanie was wonderful! I could tell instantly that she has a love for all animals and pets. She was great with my fur babies which included: my dog, cat, and rabbit! She is extremely outgoing and if I could give a 10 star review I would. You will not be disappointed if you select her to care for your fur babies. I will be using her again in the future.”

“Evelyn is amazing! Took such good care of my pup and made him feel so loved and cared for! She was always super respectful and sent me tons of updates throughout the day! Definitely would book her again🐾”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of dogs for 10 years. I have lots of experience with large/giant dogs, senior dogs, and puppies. Previous dog owners have been satisfied with my dog walking, house sitting, bathing, and medicine administration. I love them like they are my own. Hours available for dog walking are dependent upon the day. I am available everyday for dog sitting and house watching. My work schedule is Thursday-Saturday and Tuesday. I am available every night for overnight dog sitting. I love to bring my work to dog sit, this way after your pup is tired out from playing or walking, we can relax together and they get some cuddles. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I live in a community with lots of paths to walk, as well as a beach to play at if allowed. When I let dogs out into the yard I make sure to keep a close eye on them (we don’t have any escape artists!).
“Kallie came by several times a day to check in on our dogs while we were out of town. She fed them, walked them, and played with them. She kept us updated the entire time and sent pictures during her visits, which we always looked forward to. When we came home it was clear they were happy and well taken care of. We would definitely use her again! Thank you!! 😊”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, and dogs have always been a big part of my life. I currently have a one-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer of my own, so I’m very familiar with providing plenty of exercise, attention, and consistent care to keep active dogs happy and healthy. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, exploring new scents, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to treat every pet like my own and provide you with peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I have a pretty flexible schedule, which allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, and I’m committed to learning each pet’s unique routine and needs. I provide my own dog with a safe, clean, and loving environment. I prioritize daily exercise, enrichment, supervision, and keeping a consistent routine. I’ll provide the same attentive care and attention to every pet I take care of!
“Over the course of only a handful of appointments Sydney managed to get my very shy cat to come out for her *and* hang out on her lap! Very impressive given that this cat immediately goes into "hide mode" whenever there are visitors over.”

About: I had my dog from age 6-18 and I was her main caretaker. I taught her a lot of tricks, so I am familiar with a lot of common commands. She was so special to me, so I can ensure that I will always treat your pets with the most kindness and respect to honor that bond. I am currently going to college, but I have a lot of flexibility. It is summer so classes are not currently running, and I have more time to care for animals! While boarding, I have a fenced in yard as well as a nice neighborhood for walks. Either while boarding or pet sitting, I make sure that I learn their routines from you and make sure that I follow them as closely as possible.
About: I just recently moved to the Gulfport area and am looking to meet new pets and people. I've been pet boarding and sitting with Rover in Charlotte, NC for the past 4 years. I've had dogs and cats growing up. I've pet sat my friends and families dogs and cats for over 5 years! I love animals and they bring me joy! I currently work part time so I have lots of availability during the week! I am also available on the weekends as well, let's do this. I have a big backyard and front yard and live in a very walkable neighborhood. The backyard is fenced for playing and staying safe! Yay!
“Alison was so awesome! My dogs absolutely loved her and when I came home from my trip I could tell they really enjoyed their time with her while I was away. Alison was especially considerate with my senior dachshund who I was quite nervous to leave, but her separation anxiety was minimal thanks to all the love she got from Alison! Alison was great with juggling the needs of her along with my high energy 4 year old Irish setter. We will definitely be repeat clients!”

About: I grew up with two dogs that filled my life with so much joy. I just want to give that to your dogs even if it’s just a walk, a check in, or even a long term service. I have open availability to care for your fur babies. I do have a part time job but will be able to schedule around those few shifts I have a week. My priority is your animals! I am very adamant on keeping all dogs on leash unless in a gated backyard or at a dog park dependent on how they interact with other dogs and owners wishes.
“Shaylin did drop in visits checking on our dog at your house for a long weekend. She was always on time and took pictures during her updates. We came home to a happy dog that was well taken care of.”

“Elise is an amazing, attentive, and trustworthy pet sitter! Truly 10/10! She kept me updated and sent lots of photos throughout our trip. I was very nervous about leaving our two cats alone for the first time, especially our girl cat who is skittish about meeting new people. Elise was patient with her and even bought over toys to play with the cats. After a few days, they were practically best friends with her and her stepdaughter. I love that our cats love her and she will be our go-to pet sitter when we’re away.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tierra Verde
Lexi is a lifesaver! We needed someone asap and she went above and beyond to help. She instantly became our go-to caregiver for our dog and we feel blessed to have found her. From the start, our dog was so excited to meet her as if he's known her forever. Our dog is very friendly, but every once in a while he meets someone and it's as though he/she is a long lost friend. Lexi is one of these people. A new friend to our Oakley and our family for sure!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Tierra Verde with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
