About: I’ve been around animals all my life (born and raised on my family farm in Pennsylvania). My family has always had a dog and as an adult, I’ve had 4 Golden Retrievers. I absolutely love dogs. :) I am recently retired from the tech industry so my schedule can be very accommodating. I am available as early as 8am and up to 7pm. When I meet any new animal, I always allow them to greet me when they are ready. I will sit on the floor and allow them to feel comfortable before I approach them.
“We were in a pinch during a volleyball tournament in St. Pete, needing someone last-minute to care for our two big golden retrievers (both over 100 pounds!). Mary was a lifesaver! She responded immediately on Rover, and from the first phone call, it was clear how experienced and caring she is. She even took the extra step of meeting our pups the day before to ensure everything was smooth. While we were away, she kept us updated with photos, videos, and messages, giving us total peace of mind. Mary was kind, professional, and thorough. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Five stars all the way! We’d absolutely trust her again next time we’re in town!”

About: Hi my names Stephanie, an animal lover who enjoys caring for all kinds of pets! I grew up having bunnies, a ferret, a bird, cats, hamsters, dogs a turtle and fish. I currently have a little dachshund-chihuahua named bubbles. I do not have any breed or size restrictions, I welcome them all as long as they are friendly! I have a very flexible schedule during the week and weekends as well. Usually, I will have pretty open availability Monday through Sundays. I’m never gone for long hours at a time due to other work either so can be available for your pet often! I have an apartment with a little fenced in yard. I’m in a safe neighborhood for walks and outside playtime. If I’m going to your home you can be assured I’ll treat it with the same respect and care as I would for my own home and animals.
“Amy was fantastic in all areas of dog sitting and exceeded my expectations. She communicated quickly, put my mind to rest and assured me that my dogs were well looked after. I so appreciated her reports and photos. I will absolutely use her again!”
“I cannot recommend Tessa highly enough! From the moment we first reached out, her responsiveness was exceptional. Appointment requests were always answered within minutes, making scheduling incredibly easy and stress-free. One of our biggest concerns was having someone we could truly trust in our home—and this sitter exceeds all expectations. She respected our space, kept everything tidy, and we always felt completely comfortable knowing our dog was in such capable and reliable hands. What truly sets Tessa apart is her remarkable attentiveness to our dog’s special needs. Our aging Weimaraner has a unique diet and medication schedule and some specific behavioral quirks, but Tessa took the time to learn every detail and made sure our dog felt happy and safe. We regularly received thoughtful updates, photos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while away. If you’re searching for a quick-to-respond, trustworthy, and attentive pet sitter, look no further. Our experience has been nothing short of outstanding!”

“Thomas is hands down the best dog caretaker I have ever used; truly appreciate the care he provides! There is always a sense of stress and worry when traveling and having to leave my fur child behind but we did a greet and meet beforehand and Thomas was amazing with my baby boy from the start! Thomas was very supportive, responsive and genuinely cared for Buddha while I was away; going above and beyond expectations and cared for the wellbeing of my dog. Words cannot express how thankful I feel but here’s a shot, THANK YOU THOMAS!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gulfport
Kim was very communicative throughout our booking with our two pups! She was always on time and helped us feel at ease while we were away! Kim is a natural with dogs, you can tell it’s a real passion of hers. We will definitely be booking with Kim in the future.

Sam was so amazing with my girls, if I could leave more than 5 stars I would! She is timely, accommodated all normal routines, does well with my older dog who needs extra care and medications, and sent me so many updates it truly felt like my babies were in the best care! If anyone is like me who is normally anxious leaving their pets with someone new or unfamiliar, fear not! Sam will give your babies plenty of love and attention and it will show! I can’t even being to express my gratitude! Highly recommend!

Our 7-year-old American Bulldog has always been a challenge to find care for. Until now, the only person we trusted to watch him was my brother-in-law. Our dog gets protective and anxious when we leave, and because of his size, many people are understandably hesitant to come into our home without us there. Dan went above and beyond by taking the time to meet our dog several times before our trip and doing a few trial visits to build trust. His patience, kindness, and calm demeanor made all the difference, and he ended up being the perfect fit for our pup. Knowing we had someone we could truly rely on gave us such peace of mind while we were away. We no longer have to stress about leaving town, and that is priceless. Dan is amazing, and we couldn't recommend him more highly. We can't wait to use his services again in the future!

Alison was so awesome! My dogs absolutely loved her and when I came home from my trip I could tell they really enjoyed their time with her while I was away. Alison was especially considerate with my senior dachshund who I was quite nervous to leave, but her separation anxiety was minimal thanks to all the love she got from Alison! Alison was great with juggling the needs of her along with my high energy 4 year old Irish setter. We will definitely be repeat clients!

Sara did a great job with our drop-in visits. I accidentally gave her the wrong lockbox code. She stayed patient and figured it out. Whew! Really impressive! She was punctual, communicative, and easy to work with throughout. I’d definitely recommend her and would book again.

Heather visited with Ruby before and were friends from the beginning. She was on time at the agreed hours and took care of Ruby with no issues. I found her to be friendly, reliable and pampering towards Ruby. I would not hesitate to have her take care of Ruby anytime. Thanks Heather, till next time!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
