“As always, Claire (and Keyser!) took wonderful care of Birdie when she stayed with them last month. Claire always sends lots of fun photos of Birdie and the other pups playing, sniffing around the backyard, eating and sleeping. In one photo all 4(? I think it was 4 dogs) were lined up, each in their own bed which were set out in a row against the living room wall. It truly looked like a very happy, orderly, 4-legged day care center! Can’t say enough about what a good home Claire and her husband make for Birdie and all the dogs hosted there. And Birdie is very bored when she gets home and misses all her playmates. From the first time I messaged Susan, she was very friendly and willing to work with our schedules to do a meet and greet, and she agreed to care for both our pups (one senior and one with anxiety), while only meeting one of them during the meet and greet. During our boys’ weeklong stay with Susan, we got daily updates with pics, which gave us so much peace of mind because we knew our boys were getting so greatly cared for while we were away, and they got plenty of walks and attention, since Susan only takes one pup or family at a time. One of our pups ended up getting an upset stomach on the bed of the other pup, and Susan went above and beyond in dealing with this situation, even going as far as washing the bed so it was clean for us when we arrived to pick them up. It can be hard to leave your furry babies with someone you just met, but we got the most amazing and calm energy from Susan from the first time we met, even our anxious boy went up to her to get scratches (which has NOT happened before with anyone), and we just knew this was going to be someone who would really take care of both pups. 10000% recommended, and we will most definitely be rebooking for future travels! About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life, so they have always just been a part of the family. I recently adopted my sweet perfect angel kitty Lola and helped my old roomates out with their cats so I love them as well. I am a law student so I have 2-3 hour classes periodically throughout the week. I also volunteer as a Guardian Ad Litem and with gulf coast legal services so sometimes I have those obligations as well. If you choose EXCLUSIVE Boarding or Daycare, your dog/dogs will the only dogs in my home when they stay. I have a nice fenced in backyard. And I NEVER LEAVE YOUR DOGS OUTSIDE ALONE OR UNATTENDED. If your dog is accustomed to going to kennels or doggy day care then I also offer a reduced rate for MULTI-FAMILY BOARDING in which your dog(s) could be with dogs from other homes, depending on your dogs’ temperament and disposition. “Cassandra has been absolutely wonderful with our little Finnegan. She was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and friendly with our crazy schedules. She would even come to us to pick him up. Cassandra doesn't take on a large number of dogs, so each dog has more one on one attention. This was a large reason why we chose her in the first place, and why were continue to do so. Her property is nice, and comfortable for dogs, even in the heat. Finn always came home happy and content. We were very grateful for her help and can't recommend her enough.”
About: Hi, I'm Lexi! I've grown up alongside 2-3 dogs, which has inspired my love for any and all animals! I've pet-sat a wide variety of animals (list is below) and have 3 years of experience volunteering at animal shelters. Their happiness is my happiness :) On Tues-Thurs, I work from 8a-5p (and I’m home from 12:20p-12:40p to check on my doggos). On Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon, I’m off work and will be right there to hang out with your fur babies all day! They can freely roam inside and outside while I’m there (we have a indoor/outdoor sunroom and a fenced-in yard), they're allowed on beds/furniture, and I won’t practice crating unless I'm instructed to. I live right by a park, so I love taking my dogs for short walks or just to go roam around in the lawn, whatever they're in the mood for :) I'm super attentive to their needs, as I currently own two senior doggos (a beagle and a dachshund) and have been able to spot even the littlest physical/emotional changes in them. On that note, I’d prefer to ONLY board dogs that are not high-energy or territorial, so as to help keep my small senior dogs safe. I love keeping owners updated with pictures/texts to make them feel like their fur babies are right there with them! Animals I've cared for: Dogs, cats, leopard geckos, hognose snakes, hedgehogs, and White's tree frogs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I love starting the day by taking my dogs to the park that's 2 min away for a walk.
