“Took care of my 2 cats for over a week. Very attentive and communication was very good! She definitely gave me no worries and I knew my cats were in good hands when I went away. Will definitely be using her services again!”

“Jenna was great with our two cats while we were out of town for the week! She made sure they had wet and dry food, water and clean litter boxes each day. Great communication and sent us pictures each day”

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats in the past, as well as walked neighbors and friends dogs! Moved to a new city so looking for new pups and cats! Currently have a full time job but find myself in one place most of the day so looking for ways to stay active! I’m available most weekends, and week day nights! I like to keep a clean space so am sure to clean up after animals, as well as have a safe space for them to play, eat, and use the bathroom!

About: *currently on summer break - so open availability until August 31st!* I looooooove dogs. If I could spend my free time with dogs instead of people, that’s always the choice. I’m currently back to school working on my bachelors degree during the week, but I like to take care of dogs in my free time. It’s the perfect job while going to school. I've taken care of our family dogs, friend's dogs when they're out of town, and my own dogs. I did this a few years ago and would like to get back into it. I'm always on time, I reread instructions so I don’t ever miss anything, and want to give owners peace of mind leaving their dogs in someone else’s hands. I have my own two dogs, Reece and Azriel, so I know the struggle of trusting new people with them, and I know I’m fully capable of caring for others dogs as well. I’m fully available since I’m on summer break until August 31st. Once school starts again, I can do early mornings and early evenings, and will be free throughout the weekend. My wife and I alternate feedings and walkings depending on our schedules, and it works well for us. I’m usually the morning walker and she does the day while I’m at school. We play, we walk, we give treats and snuggles all throughout the day. I'd love to be able to do the same for another family.
“Jessica was absolutely amazing and so attentive when stopping by! She came by for a meet and greet and I could tell right away she could get along with any animal & human, very sweet person! My cat Percy loved her and I could tell when I got home that he had been extremely well taken care of. She wrote very nice & long reviews each visit which when on vacation I absolutely LOVE !! Thank you Jessica!”

“Andrea did a great job with our kitties! Usually the apartment is smelly from their wet food after a trip but this time, no smell! She let them out for balcony time which is pretty much their favorite activity during the warm months. Pic updates were awesome too!”

About: I’ve taken care of lots of types of dogs and cats. I have experience giving medicine to both dogs and cats ( I have experience with the cat burrito maneuver). I am patient with animals and do my best to meet them at their level. I am an owner of a high energy dog and she has taught me so much about talking care of pets. During the week, I have availability for lunchtime walks and evening hang. On the weekends, my schedule is much more open and I can be available whenever you need me. When taking a dog into a backyard I always make sure they are supervised. My pup is a jumper and can easily jump a fence. So I know what to look out for. When in a new spaces I always walk the fence line to check for any holes or loose boards. With indoor cats, I enter and exits the house carefully so nobody escapes. I understand cats can be shy, so i usually pick a spot and hang out quietly there and wait for the cat to come to me.
“Kat was absolutely perfect and I couldn't recommend her more highly! Excellent communication, lots of photos and details, always right on time, and so wonderful and attentive with my challenging cat. She made a long time away from my cat so much easier and anxiety free knowing she was on top of everything. I will 100% use Kat again in the future, she did an amazing job!”

“Aimee is wonderful with Harley and Harley is always so excited to see her. Aimee understands Harley's needs well and provides us with lots of updates so it is a worry free experience for us.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Kasey and Elizabeth! From the moment we connected, they were professional, friendly, and clearly experienced with animals. They took excellent care of Sunday, Ditty, and Peach, following all instructions carefully and even going above and beyond with extra playtime, updates, and photos while we were away. Our pets looked happy and well-cared for when we returned, and our home was just as we left it. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We’ll definitely be booking again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter.”

“Natalie is great! She was very attentive during our consultation for an upcoming house sitting for my kitten and pup but I needed her for a last minute drop in lunch visit. She was thankfully available and very communicative. Her notes on the visit were super detailed and included lots of photos of both animals. She was able to feed my kitten his lunch and take Snax for a walk. I feel very comfortable with the upcoming weekend - both of my pets will be in good hands!”

“I’m so glad we found Erika. She was amazing and our dog Brody loved her. They only met once before she came to take care of him and that’s all he needed. We will definitely use Erika again.”
“Such good communication whole process through, our fur baby's loved her. Took care of all the basic needs and gave lots of extra cuddles, will definitely book again and would recommend.”

“It was so comforting to know Michelle was taking care of our three cats. They were happy when we got home, theit litter boxes were clean, and food/water was fresh and refilled. We especially appreciated receiving pictures each day of her visits. Thank you, Michelle!!”

“Haley was a great sitter for our two cats! She was attentive, provided great updates, and was super flexible when we changed the dates for which we needed her. We will absolutely have her watch our kitties again!”

“Liz is EXCEPTIONAL!!! ฅ^>⩊<^ฅ She is communicative, attentive and extremely thorough. Liz followed all the instructions provided and sent thoughtful updates and a ton of adorable pictures each visit. She treated my babies like her own and even had the magic to woo my extremely shy kitty, Cookie, out of hiding!! Momo and Cookie give Liz 10/10 mousies—highly recommend!!!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. Through this I have become an expert in fetch, tug of war and ear scratches. I love running, walking and being outside- I can’t wait to tire your pup out! I currently work from home and am in sales so I have a very flexible schedule and am able to give your dog love at all times of the day. My neighborhood has ample walking area to tire your pup out so there is no shortage of new walking routes to sniff and explore together.

Fantastic cat sitter, absolutely helped keep us at ease with her pictures and her updates. Managed to get my extremely skittish and shy old man to come out and even let her pet him a bit on the last day, which nearly all of our cat sitters before didn’t even manage to SEE him let alone get that close! Will absolutely go to her whenever we leave town in the future, and would recommend to anyone looking for a cat sitter. ❤️

We had a last minute request for a weekend visit for our 2 dogs, and they were nice enough to help accommodate our request. They were nice and patient when we mixed up the door code as well. I know our dogs were in great hands with them. They even left our house looking better than when we left. Would 100% recommend booking with them!!

One of the best dog sitters for the hard to reach dog. Our pup is up there as the toughest customer ( fearful anxious ) & we appreciate Kelcya's calm, steady approach to providing care, meds & feeding. Even when the dog refuses all attempts to eat his meds/food a good chunk of the time, Kelcya keeps on trying. It's means a lot when your miles away, just knowing your pups are safe & cared for by a professional. Thank you!

Emma was a great sitter for our cat, Miso, and our four chickens! She came over for a quick meet and greet before our trip which gave us confidence she would be able to take good care of everyone. She’d visits were on time and she sent us plenty of photos and status updates. Our babies were very happy!

ulie has been amazing looking after my pup. Ziggy recently turned one and has been by my side for most of the time. This has been a sudden routine change for both of us, me going into the office. Julie has helped us both with this transition. She’s extremely communicative, sends a ton of pictures of a very happy dog. I will continue to use her services and have peace that my pup is in good hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
