“Jenna was great with our two cats while we were out of town for the week! She made sure they had wet and dry food, water and clean litter boxes each day. Great communication and sent us pictures each day”

About: I have pet sat for friends and family throughout the years (youngins-seniors). I have a 9 year old cat of my own, adopted her when she was a kitten! I have also lived with family pets (two other cats and one dog). I love going for walks and I would have our family dog tag along all the time and would take care of her when the family was busy. I have experience in giving oral medication to cats + following a medication/feeding schedule. I’m currently working full time, Monday-Friday, I’m available to walk and care for pets during my work breaks, evenings during the week, or any time during the weekend. I provide a loving environment to any animal I come across. I want them to feel safe and comfortable enough to trust that I am a friend!

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs of every kind since I was a kid. We always had rescue puppies and kitties at our house, and so I’ve got a soft spot for the little ones who had it rough. Im currently working full-time, but I am always available to check on your animals during my lunch break or anytime before or after work. Weekends are also very flexible! I am very friendly and have plenty of experience dealing with timid or anxious dogs. My dog, Bartleby is a very anxious guy so I have learned how to not overstimulate him while making him feel loved and safe.

“Char is very reliable, conscientious, and communicates well. Our pets are well taken care of when we are gone for a long period of time. We can highly recommend Char if you need somebody to watch your pets even for a long period of time.”
About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life, and volunteered at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter for a year after college. I've fostered kittens and a senior cat with medical issues, and cared for many older pets over my life. I once house sit for a family with rabbits so I have a little bit of familiarity with them. I have house sit for friends with a standard poodle and a mini doodle, including giving the standard poodle his daily medication and taking them both for twice daily trips to the park. I have also checked in on my parents' two dogs and 5+ cats to feed them, let them out for potty breaks, play with them, and give them medication. My sweet orange tabby got cancer a few years ago and I fed him three times a day through a feeding tube and administered his medication as well. I work some evenings, so I am free most of the day to care for your furry friends. I take care of my own senior kitty in the mornings, after my evening shifts, and during any free days. I have pet sat for friends and family before, including giving medication and two daily walks. I will follow all instructions to the letter and ensure your pet feels right at home.
“Jessica was an amazing sitter! Her check ins were detailed and the pictures were icing on the cake. She was punctual and I could tell my boys enjoyed her company and love. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: Growing up I loved taking care of the dogs in my family and helping the neighbors out with pet-sitting and walks. I also have spent time working at an animal shelter, walking and taking care of dogs of all ages and sizes from puppies to seniors! I love working with animals and can’t wait to meet your pet! I am available in the early mornings (before 8:45) and in the evenings (after 4:30), during the week, but can be flexible sometimes if my schedule changes. My weekends are almost completely wide open! When caring for pets in my clients’ home, I will always make sure my attention is fully on them and their needs, while being respectful of the clients’ space. I will respect the space and privacy of the client and do whatever is required of me to ensure the safety and well-being of the pet.

“Mel is awesome! Very professional, easy to get along with, great communication, reliable and absolutely great with our dogs! Frank (our large male pitbull mix) and Becky (our medium female bulldog) both adored Mel from the first moment they met her. She is very much Frank and Becky approved! Mel's done a great job taking care of our pups, she's a fantastic pet professional, and we highly recommend her services!”

About: I have 20 years of experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. As a dog parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and loving. I will care for your pet as if they were my own, providing walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, and plenty of affection while following their normal routine. I currently work part-time from home, which gives me flexibility and plenty of time to care for your pet. I am available on weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-in visits, companionship, and other pet-care needs. I will do my best to accommodate your pet’s regular schedule and routine. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priorities. I carefully follow all feeding, walking, medication, and household instructions provided by each pet parent. I give pets plenty of attention while respecting their individual personalities, routines, and boundaries. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel comfortable while your pet is in my care.
“I can always count on Kaitlyn. Cat and dog love her. She recently responding on really short notice and baled me out when I needed to spend the day away from my critters.”

“Sophia was the perfect sitter for my cat while I was away for vacation. She was very trustworthy and respectful of my home and my pet - 2 of the most important things in life! She has great experience and definitely cares and it shows. I would definitely recommend and/or book her again.”

“We were so grateful to have Natalie dropping in on our pup while we were away for a weekend. She was very communicative and Laika loved her. We highly recommend her!!”

About: I have had dogs in my family for my entire life and have been around them for over 30 years. I have a cattle dog Bjorn, and grew up with those, and my cousin has 2 large breed mix dogs that I also love to spend time with. We have 2 cats in our house as well, an orange cat named Fritz and a siamese named Tut. I am currently working part time, and on summer break, so I have lots of time available to assist with feeding and walking dogs currently. I am an experienced walker and have no issues following special instructions to make sure your pup is safe and cared for the way they recognize.

Michelle as always is a lifesaver!!! Me and my kitties love her!! She is so reliable and I can always depend on her to take excellent care of my babies. She was so flexible about giving one of them meds last minute and I am forever grateful for her patience and understanding. I wish I could give her a million stars but 5 will have to do!

Jessica was so great with our two cats! She was prompt, communicative, and went above and beyond, helping to sweep up food that the cats spilled and alerting us immediately when our smoke detector started beeping a low battery warning. Super appreciat her and her help!

Bao did a great job taking care of our cats while we were away! She came over to feed them, play with them, and scoop their litter, and we felt very comfortable knowing they were being well cared for. Her communication was great throughout our trip, and we really appreciated all the pictures and updates she sent us. We would definitely trust Bao to watch our cats again and highly recommend her!

Jessica took such great care of my cats during repeated visits for the week I was not home. By the end of the week my cats wanted to follow her home :) She was especially patient with play time with my higher energy orange kitty boy and keeping my place so clean!!! Would love to have Jessica cat sit for us again anytime!

Mel is awesome! Very professional, easy to get along with, great communication, reliable and absolutely great with our dogs! Frank (our large male pitbull mix) and Becky (our medium female bulldog) both adored Mel from the first moment they met her. She is very much Frank and Becky approved! Mel's done a great job taking care of our pups, she's a fantastic pet professional, and we highly recommend her services!

Jaclyn took wonderful care of our 2 cats while we were away on vacation. She came a day early for a meet and greet where she made our cats feel really comfortable around her. She had great communication before we left as well as the whole time we were away. Would definitely recommend Jaclyn to anyone looking for cat care!

One of the best dog sitters for the hard to reach dog. Our pup is up there as the toughest customer ( fearful anxious ) & we appreciate Kelcya's calm, steady approach to providing care, meds & feeding. Even when the dog refuses all attempts to eat his meds/food a good chunk of the time, Kelcya keeps on trying. It's means a lot when your miles away, just knowing your pups are safe & cared for by a professional. Thank you!

ulie has been amazing looking after my pup. Ziggy recently turned one and has been by my side for most of the time. This has been a sudden routine change for both of us, me going into the office. Julie has helped us both with this transition. She’s extremely communicative, sends a ton of pictures of a very happy dog. I will continue to use her services and have peace that my pup is in good hands.

Taylor has been excellent!! Super consistent and communicative. She does a great job making sure I am informed about what goes on during the visits and ask for feedback on what she can improve which I really appreciate. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great sitter for their pets.

Avery is absolutely AMAZING! She took such incredible care of our babies and treated them with the same love and attention we do. Coming home to happy, relaxed dogs who barely seemed to notice we had been gone was the biggest sign of how well they were cared for. It was obvious they felt safe, loved, and completely adored while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! We will 100% be booking with Avery again and recommending her to everyone we know. Thank you so much, Avery, you are truly the best. We’re so grateful for you!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
