“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I dropped off my dog, Sugar, with Cody, and let me explain what “Sugar” is dealing with. Sugar is a tiny white cockapoo whose greatest natural predator is…existing. She’ll hear a leaf land three houses away and immediately file an insurance claim. She has been startled by her own reflection, a pillow, and once spent five minutes suspicious of a decorative pumpkin. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So naturally, I was thinking, “There’s no way this dog survives being around another dog and a cat.” Wrong. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cody has this supernatural calm that apparently extends to terrified fluff balls. His dog was basically like, “Hey, you wanna hang out?” Sugar answered in her native language, which is silent panic. His dog didn’t care. She just kept being cool until Sugar realized nobody was trying to assassinate her. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Then there’s the cat. Most cats look at a nervous little dog like they’re planning a documentary called How Easy Would It Be? Cody’s cat was just…chill. At one point I think the cat judged me more than it judged Sugar. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By the end of the stay, Sugar was wandering around like she paid the mortgage. She actually looked relaxed. Relaxed! This is a dog who’s emotionally overwhelmed by a ceiling fan. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don’t know what Cody does. Maybe he whispers affirmations. Maybe he has Disney-princess powers. Maybe his dog is running some kind of emotional support operation and the cat is HR. Whatever it is, it works. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I picked Sugar up happy, safe, exhausted from actually having fun instead of rehearsing imaginary disasters. Cody sent updates, took amazing care of her, and somehow convinced the canine equivalent of an anxious Victorian ghost that life isn’t one long emergency. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If your dog is confident, Cody will probably make them happier. If your dog is like Sugar and thinks gravity is a personal attack, Cody is basically a miracle worker. Ten out of ten. Would absolutely trust him again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sugar probably still doesn’t trust the vacuum, but that’s between her and her therapist. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ~Christine and David”

About: I have been a pet owner for virtually my entire life! Cats, dogs, rabbits and even a bird! My partner and I recently lost our beloved Jack Russell Terrier “Terrie” after 14 wonderful years. While regular travel commitments make it difficult to adopt another companion of our own at this time, we would love the opportunity to care for your “best fur-iend” when we are home! About: I may not have dogs of my own but I sure do love being around them. Before moving I use to volunteer at an animal shelter and I loved it there just to see how dogs were able to have at least a couple of minutes of happiness from pups to seniors. I also foster kitties and have two of my own! I am currently attending nursing school, so can’t fit a full time job into my schedule. This is the best option because it’s something I love and I can still complete my studies! I would first build trust with the animal ensuring they are not frightened by me. About: I have had dogs in my family for my entire life and have been around them for over 30 years. About: I grew-up and around animals of all kind my entire life, though mostly owned cats. However, in 2012, my husband and I adopted a pug and there began my journey and infatuation with pugs and pups of all kinds. We've always been the go-to for friends and family who needed sitters for their dogs of all breeds and ages. I've also worked with blind and visually impaired folks in a non profit setting for 5 years and have experience watching the dog guides/service dogs of friends for extended periods of time while they were "off duty" and have spent lots of time around them while they were on-duty, as well. I originally signed-up for Rover soon after our pug passed away because we weren't ready to adopt another fur-child and had so much love to give other pups out there. But, we ended up rescuing another pug about a year ago, so I went on a break from Rover to focus on our new girl, Hot Stuff. However, I decided to activate my account again as I'm in a bit of a career transition and am intentionally seeking activities, experiences that align with my values and passions, which includes caring for animals, and would love to spend as much time with fur babies as possible. They make the BEST company. Ultimately, I'm obsessed with all animals, and especially dogs. I think the world would be a much more harmonious place if everyone had a fur-baby in the family:) I currently don't have a personal pet to care for, or children at home and work remotely Monday-Friday, so can be somewhat flexible with my daily and weekly routine. All I can say, before out pup passed away, he was the center of our universe and our schedules/routines were based on him and his needs - his morning and evening spa treatments, making his food from scratch daily, taking him for multiple walks, cuddling and petting him throughout the day, inviting him to be on-camera during my work meetings. Because he was old, he also got regular walks in his special "puggy buggy" and we very rarely ever left him alone for more than an hour at a time. “Macey takes such great care of my pup, Genji. Macey and her family treat my dog as if he were theirs. Macey also has well-socialized dogs of her own that also love and take care of Genji. This includes her Husky who is about 30xs bigger than Genji. I’ve used Macey twice now and will continue to do so.”

“Our dogs had an amazing stay with this daughter and mom duo. They gave us daily updates and we can tell they loved our dogs like their own. We were incredibly impressed that she was able to successfully groom Bella. Bella has a long history of not being welcomed back for groomers due to her defensive and aggressive nature for many years. Shes informative, patient and responds so well to our babys grooming needs. Alexandra was able to successfully groom her! Shes definitely a grooming gangster!
