“Jared is a blessing! He made himself available for a meet & greet and instantly made us feel comfortable with leaving Zuko there. Jared was always quick to respond and sent daily pictures of our boy. It’s safe to say Zuko absolutely loved his stay! Will definitely be booking with Jared again! ☺️”

“Achara sent pics and updates of my cat everyday, gave him his medications, and returned him in as great of condition as when I dropped him off. He was clearly well taken care of.”

“Esther and Bill was amazing! They were very detailed and attentive to my dog. They sent frequent updates with pictures. They do require a meet and greet with your dog before initial booking, which I really appreciate because they want your dog to feel comfortable. I highly recommend Esther because her communication is very fluid and open. I will definitely book again soon!”

“Thank you so much for such wonderful care for our Miss Appa! It was so nice to relax at our out-of-town event and see the pics/videos of her getting walks and play times. And that was so nice of you to sleep down on the couch with her. She is a lucky dog!”

“Thank you for being the first people to take care of our little Maxine while we took a trip. She was so well taken care of, they shared pictures to let us know how she was doing, they communicated well with us!”

“Miya was absolutely amazing. She kept in constant contact with us and we loved the videos and pictures. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be using her again. We are very selective on who keeps our dog because he is spoiled and really attached to us and Miya was the perfect fit.”

“Martha made my dog feel super comfortable and at home. She also provided me with daily updates while I was out of the country, multiple times a day. I was very pleased and comfortable that my dog was in her care. Will definitely reach out to her the next time I go on vacation. She is the best sitter my dog has ever had!”

“Greta had a great time staying with Brandee. Brandee is always so sweet and prompt to respond. I loved the photos and video she sent for Mother's Day. It is reassuring to know that Greta is in good hands when we are away.”

“My regular sitter had to back out at the last minute and I was stressing out, but I'm very grateful to Marc and Rachael for accepting my 3 fur kids at the last minute. They sent me updates and pictures everyday, and I could tell that my dogs were very well cared for. Their house was a great environment for my doggies, and they did a great job with dogsitting them for a whole week. Highly recommended!”

“Reginay was awesome! Our original rover cancelled last minute and Reginay was able to board nala during our 11 day cruise. She was extremely responsive and caring and was understanding when we arrived late. We will definitely be working with her again.”

“What a blessing it has been to have found Sunshine & Shannon. I had never left any of my dogs with anyone unless it was a family member, so to say that I was extremely nervous would be an understatement. This is why I say, what a blessing they are. They heard my concerns with Nico (my dog) and implemented the necessary steps to make sure Nico was safe and happy. I feel that if Nico could talk he would have asked me to stay longer with them. I am beyond happy to see how much love & attention they gave Nico, this means the world to me! Thank you, Sunshine & Shannon for taking care of Nico like your own!”

“Michael has cared for my rowdy husky several times, and my dog is always excited to see him. He understands her needs and takes good care of her. He also sends a lot of pictures and updates, which I truly appreciate!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets and homes for more than 25 years, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and reptiles, and have spent years caring for pets for friends, family, and through TrustedHousesitters. Earlier in my career, I worked at a veterinary office, which gave me hands-on experience with animal care. I’ve also volunteered with Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue, helping with transportation, fostering dogs in need, and walking dogs at the rescue. That’s actually where I met and eventually adopted my own Golden Retriever and Mini Goldendoodle! My family has been active on TrustedHousesitters for the past two years, both as pet owners and sitters. Being on the other side of the experience has given us a real appreciation for how important it is to find someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring to look after your pets. We love giving that same peace of mind to other pet parents. I work full-time, but spending time with animals is one of my favorite things to do in my free time. Whether it’s going for a walk, playing, giving belly rubs, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. ❤️ I work from home most days so am open to taking care of pets in the morning, lunch time, and in the evenings. I am available on weekends with a 1 week notice. I can also stay at your house and work remotely if you require someone to be with your pets throughout the day. I care for every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, and care. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I do not like kenneling dogs so unless this is a request of yours, your dog(s) will not be kenneled. They will have full roam of my house and will have access 24/7 to the backyard via the doggy door.
“I had a last minute change and needed a boarding one day before I left and Bari was the first to respond to my request. She is easy to communicate, always responds quickly so our communication was very efficient. I received a lot of photos everyday and could clearly see how happy my dog Youmi was during the stay! Absolutely great boarding experience. Will contact her again I need dog boarding in the future.”
“Jennifer did an excellent job in taking care of my little girl! She provided me with updates and was accommodating of my schedule. I would definitely book with her again :)”

“Jasmine is Amazing! I have a medical cat who required medication nightly. She was able to pill him was so attentive! When we did our meet and greet she asked questions about things I wouldn’t have thought to tell her! She gave me updates often and even brought a toy to play with one of our cats (our dogs eat all the cat toys). I hardly trust anyone with my cat but I felt so comfortable knowing she was there! I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Jessica was wonderful with my cats! She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of them while I was away. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. I really appreciated how attentive she was to their needs and would definitely recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

“Natalie is awesome. Kolby (cat) is so much happier when I get home after a short trip. If I leave him for a day and.not have Natalie do a drop in, he is not happy. He will poo outside his litter box and he won’t come near me for a day or two to express his frustration. Since having Natalie, I’d come home to the sweetest cat, he snuggles like he missed me, not mad at me. Thanks, Natalie. You are Kolby’s forever Valentine 💌”

“Holly is simply the best. She is communicative, accommodating, and attentive to my cat’s needs. She also takes amazing photos of my cat during her visits. Highly recommended!”

“Jessica took such great care of my cats during repeated visits for the week I was not home. By the end of the week my cats wanted to follow her home :) She was especially patient with play time with my higher energy orange kitty boy and keeping my place so clean!!! Would love to have Jessica cat sit for us again anytime!”

“Elizabeth always does such a great job! My two cats LOVE her and the time that they get to spend with her while I’m out of town. She regularly goes above and beyond when she pet sits — definitely book her if you need a sitter for your kitties!”

“Jenna was great with our two cats while we were out of town for the week! She made sure they had wet and dry food, water and clean litter boxes each day. Great communication and sent us pictures each day”

“Kaitlyn eased my anxiety about leaving my furbaby for a few days. Kaitlyn was reliable and communicative. She was consistent with keeping me updating on how my cat was doing. I highly recommend Kailtyn!”

“Sophia was the perfect sitter for my cat while I was away for vacation. She was very trustworthy and respectful of my home and my pet - 2 of the most important things in life! She has great experience and definitely cares and it shows. I would definitely recommend and/or book her again.”

“Mel is awesome! Very professional, easy to get along with, great communication, reliable and absolutely great with our dogs! Frank (our large male pitbull mix) and Becky (our medium female bulldog) both adored Mel from the first moment they met her. She is very much Frank and Becky approved! Mel's done a great job taking care of our pups, she's a fantastic pet professional, and we highly recommend her services!”

“Char is very reliable, conscientious, and communicates well. Our pets are well taken care of when we are gone for a long period of time. We can highly recommend Char if you need somebody to watch your pets even for a long period of time.”

“Haley was a great sitter for our two cats! She was attentive, provided great updates, and was super flexible when we changed the dates for which we needed her. We will absolutely have her watch our kitties again!”

About: I adore all cats and volunteered at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter to assess the temperment of new arrivals, determining of they were feral (and meant for the barn cat program), adoptable, or could be rehabilitated as domestic cats. I've cared for many older cats and my sweet Orange Kitty while he had cancer. I've also helped my friends take care of stray cats, including on out-of-state trips, and either find homes for them or arrange for their transport to no-kill shelters.

About: I have a 9 year old cat of my own, adopted her when she was a kitten. She’s the absolute love of my life! She’s been there for me during so many big moments of my life, forever grateful. Because of her, I have a big heart for cats and have learned to follow a medication/feeding schedule along with administrating oral medication. I love spoiling her, just ask anyone (they would probably describe me as a little extra)! I would absolutely treat your baby as they were my own.
“Kirthi, oh my goodness. I’ve had many sitters from Rover in the past, but definitely felt most comfortable with Kirthi dropping in to see my cats. I appreciated the check-in before I left and then the attention to detail each day while I was gone. I received reports about the cats’ food, water, activities, etc. and even a couple pictures. I definitely will be asking Kirthi to keep an eye on my kitties next time I travel.”

“We did a trial daycare visit to prepare for a longer stay in a month. Everything went so well! Great communication and several updates were sent throughout the day of them playing and resting! I feel much more comfortable leaving them at a new place for their longer stay after this visit. Thanks Achara for your care with the pups and I can already tell they are looking forward to going back!”

“It’s always a good sign when the dogs tail starts wagging going up to a door. My pup clearly enjoys his days at Aubree’s and playing with her lab. Her daughters are also so good around and with the dogs, so it’s like he’s spending time with an adopted family.”

“Sunshine and Shannon watched our dog while we were in town for a football game. They sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the day (: he was a happy boy! Would definitely use them again if we’re back in town 🙌🏼”

“My dog seems to enjoy the experience with this dog sitter! Great communication with pictures of him enjoying plenty of toys and a nice walk. Highly recommend for a fun and caring dog daycare service.”

“They took care of my pup like she was their own. Drop off was a breeze and pick up went flawlessly. They provided periodic updated of my dogd temperment and attitude which helped me feel at ease.”

“We are so glad we chose Alexandra to watch our puppy. She was awesome with our 6 month old puppy Rooney. She walked him and sent us pictures of his day. Her dogs got along great with ours and at the end of the day our pup was tired out. Which was perfect for us since we were at a meeting all day. Very trustworthy and kind. If we need care in the future we would definitely choose Alex for the job.”

“I highly recommend Joel! My old girl was calm and happy after her day stay. Extremely considerate of Lola’s needs. She’s a picky pup and can be stressed by strangers, but not with Joel. Didn’t have to worry about her safety or well-being. A great help and huge relief.”

“Miya was very kind with Kono. He is very active for a near 2 year old, and she kept up with his energy. She modified her care plan to suit his needs, more walks and play - she learned of his obsession with balls. He inherited the traits of a working dog in a small package, and he definitely worked Miya. Thanks for being patient and caring for my furbaby.”

“Hana took such good care of my puppy and kept me updated with cute photos and videos. She had a beautiful big yard for him to run around in. Would definitely recommend”

“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

“Sophia met with Miss Serenity prior to the scheduled walks! She was on time and very sweet to my pup! The time I had originally scheduled her was too hot for Serenity, so she adjusted the time to walk her, which was amazing! I would definitely recommend booking her to take care of your fur baby!”

I am also able to take extra time for your pet if needed! I have raised many dogs, and even rescued loads of animals throughout my life, and have learned how to adjust to dogs needs. About: Hi there! I’m Mel. I’ve had dogs in my life for over 30 years — growing up with Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Border Collies, and Labs, and later caring for high-energy breeds like Huskies, Malamutes, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans as an adult. I’m comfortable with big dogs, strong pullers, and dogs who need real exercise, but I’m just as happy with a Chihuahua curled up on the couch. I spent 8 years as a nanny, so looking after something that depends on you completely isn’t new to me — it’s second nature. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. I don’t board dogs in my own home, since I have a resident cat (a very opinionated tabby mix), but I’m experienced with cats too, including Maine Coons and other long-haired breeds, if you need a sitter for feline friends as well. I’ve handled the less glamorous parts of the job without blinking: medication schedules, backyard cleanup, even a dog who met a skunk face-first. My standard for every visit is simple — when you get home, your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and ready to sleep well. I treat your home and your animal the way I’d want mine treated. I’m self-employed, so my schedule is flexible and mostly built around dog care. I’m generally available 8am–6pm on weekdays, with some days running later. In the summer heat, I keep an eye on pavement temperature and adjust walk times so it’s safe on paws — sometimes that means earlier or later in the day rather than midday. Weekends are available with advance scheduling. I’m also happy to do drop-in visits spaced out over the day or across longer periods if that suits your dog’s routine better than a single visit. Since I don’t board dogs in my own home — I have a resident cat — all my care happens in your space, on your dog’s normal turf, which tends to be less stressful for them than an unfamiliar house. I follow whatever routine you set: meals, meds, walks, exercise. I’m comfortable administering medication, cleaning up after accidents or messes, and handling anything that comes up — I’ve dealt with a dog getting skunked, dogs with high energy who need real exercise, and the everyday logistics of keeping a home running while you’re away. My rule for every visit: your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and settled by the time you get home.

I also have a car and can access further if need be! As someone who has seen plenty of emergency cases in my profession, I’m very specially aware within people’s homes of what may be considered safe or unsafe for your baby. About: I have had dogs in my life since I was five. I have walked the small dogs at once, I can give medication, I can play, I can pet, I can cuddle with them all. I am a teacher. I will be working summer school starting in June. I have a short 4 hour day. I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet. In July I will have a lot of free time. I can't care for your pet at my condo, as I don't have a yard and I rent. I can come to your place and stay or visit your pet at your place and then go for walks/have outside time there.

About: I’m a pet sitter who specializes in dogs, cats, and reptiles (I have a crested gecko myself), but am open to any pets. About: Hi! I’m originally from Norway and currently live with my husband and our very friendly cat. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. I was the main caregiver for my dog for 11 years, so I’m very used to daily walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, and making sure pets feel safe and happy. Since then, I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters, fostered cats, cared for neighbors’ and friends’ dogs, and I even had 3 bunnies myself, so I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and energy levels. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, because they really are family. Whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, or just wants company and affection, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat them like they’re my own❤️❤️ I currently work part time starting around 4 PM, and my husband gets off work around the same time (3:30pm) so there will almost always be someone home to care for your pet. I also have a lot of free time and love to stay active during the day, I love to walk, hike and run,so pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I’m excited to give your pet lots of attention and care while you are away! I always want pets to feel safe and comfortable in my home. We recently moved into our apartment, so there isn’t a lot of clutter or things pets can get into. Our cat is also very nosy, so we’ve already made sure our home is very pet-proof and safe. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, personality, and any instructions from the owner. Whether that’s walks, feeding schedules, playtime, medication, or just giving them extra attention and comfort, I’ll make sure they feel cared for and at home while you’re away. I also love going on walks and staying active, so dogs will get plenty of exercise, attention, and outdoor time with me💓

About: I have had dogs in my family for my entire life and have been around them for over 30 years. I have a cattle dog Bjorn, and grew up with those, and my cousin has 2 large breed mix dogs that I also love to spend time with. We have 2 cats in our house as well, an orange cat named Fritz and a siamese named Tut. I am currently working part time, and on summer break, so I have lots of time available to assist with feeding and walking dogs currently. I am an experienced walker and have no issues following special instructions to make sure your pup is safe and cared for the way they recognize.
About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life, and volunteered at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter for a year after college. I've fostered kittens and a senior cat with medical issues, and cared for many older pets over my life. I once house sit for a family with rabbits so I have a little bit of familiarity with them. I have house sit for friends with a standard poodle and a mini doodle, including giving the standard poodle his daily medication and taking them both for twice daily trips to the park. I have also checked in on my parents' two dogs and 5+ cats to feed them, let them out for potty breaks, play with them, and give them medication. My sweet orange tabby got cancer a few years ago and I fed him three times a day through a feeding tube and administered his medication as well. I work some evenings, so I am free most of the day to care for your furry friends. I take care of my own senior kitty in the mornings, after my evening shifts, and during any free days. I have pet sat for friends and family before, including giving medication and two daily walks. I will follow all instructions to the letter and ensure your pet feels right at home.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was little, growing up with a sheltie dog from when I was born. I have taken care of friends, family and neighbor’s dogs and cats; taking them on walks, feeding them, playing with them and caring for them as if they were my own. Living the past 4 years with a roommates/friends who had an pitbull/husky mix and calico cat I helped out often with care and they became family to me as well. Two years ago I as well, had frequently the pleasure of getting to care for both dogs/cats through rover overnight as well as doing check in feedings. I’m currently working part time so I have the flexibility to play with your pets during the week days and all day on the weekends. I unfortunately don’t currently have the ability to board at my home. I always confirm with the client what the pets schedule may be, any health/behavioral concerns, likes/dislikes, emergency contacts & their local veterinary in case of emergency. Having open communication throughout the service, I feel as well helps so that everyone is on the same page in caring and maintaining the safety of their pet.

I have also lived with family pets (two other cats and one dog). I love going for walks and I would have our family dog tag along all the time and would take care of her when the family was busy. I have experience in giving oral medication to cats + following a medication/feeding schedule. I’m currently working full time, Monday-Friday, I’m available to walk and care for pets during my work breaks, evenings during the week, or any time during the weekend. I provide a loving environment to any animal I come across. I want them to feel safe and comfortable enough to trust that I am a friend!
About: I grew up with dogs (both big & small) my entire life. I started as a pet sitter for neighbors, friends, and family, and grew to become a popular overnight sitter for many families in the Davis area. I’m a genuine animal lover so your pets will always be in good hands. My work schedule is currently flexible so I’m not in the office every day. I have time for longer drop-in visits and walks, more than once per day. I can do overnight stays in the client’s home, preferably no longer than 2 nights. I have lots of experience staying with pets in the client’s home for long periods of time so I’m very respectful of the space I’m in. I always stick to the routine the pet is used to. I’m also a dog owner myself so your pet will be treated how I would treat my own dog (with lots of love!).

“Alexandra is a wonderful caretaker for my two fur babies. She provides daily photos and updates, is super responsive and accommodating with pick up and drop off arrangements, and truly cares for my dogs. I can tell both of my girls enjoy their stays with Alexandra since they are always excited to see her when I drop them off. I’ll continue to be a repeat client, thank you Alexandra!”

“Achara sent pics and updates of my cat everyday, gave him his medications, and returned him in as great of condition as when I dropped him off. He was clearly well taken care of.”

“Thank you for being the first people to take care of our little Maxine while we took a trip. She was so well taken care of, they shared pictures to let us know how she was doing, they communicated well with us!”

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, and I truly believe they’re one of the best parts of the world. I was a dog owner for over 10 years, and after losing my sweet girl to cancer, I really missed having furry friends around. That experience reminded me just how much joy and companionship pets bring into our lives. From dogs and cats to fish and hamsters, caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I’m a family guy with a comfortable home and a safe, secure environment where your pet can feel relaxed, loved, and right at home. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member with someone else. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and care. Whether your companion needs walks, drop-in visits, sitting, boarding, or simply some extra love and attention, I’m happy to help. I’ll treat your pet like part of my own family and make their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! 🐾❤️ I work part-time in the evenings and am available during the day to spend time with and care for your pets. While I’m at work, my wife and daughter are home and will be there to care for them. Your pets will always have someone at home with them, so they won’t be left alone. You can have peace of mind knowing your pets will receive care, attention, and companionship around the clock. I have a good-sized, secure backyard where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time, as well as a public walking path right behind my house for those who enjoy stretching their legs and getting some exercise. I love taking dogs for walks—it’s a great way for them to get fresh air, exercise, and enrichment while keeping them happy and comfortable. I always make sure pets are supervised, cared for, and treated like part of the family while they’re in my home.
“Zariyah was great. Our little guys can be a handful at times and she went above and beyond to make them comfortable. I would absolutely book with her again. 5 star sitter for sure!”

“This was our second time having Amanda care for our dog, and once again she did a great job. It’s always reassuring to have someone you’ve used before and already trust. Communication was great, drop off and pickup were easy, and our dog came home happy and well cared for. We really appreciate Amanda and her family taking such good care of him”

“April was great with our puppy. We booked his stay with April a week in advance, but a day before we left he hurt his paw and the vet gave him a number of medications to take. We considered canceling but April assured us that she could administer the medications and take care of his paw. She sent us daily updates and really reassured us he was doing well. She was amazing.”

“Demetra took excellent care of our 4-year old lab, Midge. She was excellent at communication and sending photo updates from Midge's walks and playtimes in the backyard. We recommend her without hesitation.”

“Daniella took great care of our energetic black lab for a week and was a delight to communicate with. Olive got great exercise while we were away. Will definitely book with Daniella again!”
