About: Hi there! I’m Mel. I’ve had dogs in my life for over 30 years — growing up with Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Border Collies, and Labs, and later caring for high-energy breeds like Huskies, Malamutes, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans as an adult. I’m comfortable with big dogs, strong pullers, and dogs who need real exercise, but I’m just as happy with a Chihuahua curled up on the couch. I spent 8 years as a nanny, so looking after something that depends on you completely isn’t new to me — it’s second nature. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. I don’t board dogs in my own home, since I have a resident cat (a very opinionated tabby mix), but I’m experienced with cats too, including Maine Coons and other long-haired breeds, if you need a sitter for feline friends as well. I’ve handled the less glamorous parts of the job without blinking: medication schedules, backyard cleanup, even a dog who met a skunk face-first. My standard for every visit is simple — when you get home, your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and ready to sleep well. I treat your home and your animal the way I’d want mine treated. I’m self-employed, so my schedule is flexible and mostly built around dog care. I’m generally available 8am–6pm on weekdays, with some days running later. In the summer heat, I keep an eye on pavement temperature and adjust walk times so it’s safe on paws — sometimes that means earlier or later in the day rather than midday. Weekends are available with advance scheduling. I’m also happy to do drop-in visits spaced out over the day or across longer periods if that suits your dog’s routine better than a single visit. Since I don’t board dogs in my own home — I have a resident cat — all my care happens in your space, on your dog’s normal turf, which tends to be less stressful for them than an unfamiliar house. I follow whatever routine you set: meals, meds, walks, exercise. I’m comfortable administering medication, cleaning up after accidents or messes, and handling anything that comes up — I’ve dealt with a dog getting skunked, dogs with high energy who need real exercise, and the everyday logistics of keeping a home running while you’re away. My rule for every visit: your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and settled by the time you get home.

If there's a dog or cat at a gathering, you'll probably find me spending time with them! I've been helping care for pets since I was four years old (I am now almost 20). Growing up, I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from Chihuahuas to Huskies and German Shepherds. I also have extensive experience caring for cats and have helped care for 12 cats throughout my lifetime. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed (unless instructed otherwise in a safe, enclosed area), stay aware of our surroundings, and prioritize their safety at all times. During drop-in visits and house sitting, I'll make sure your pets are fed, have fresh water, receive plenty of attention and exercise, and stick as closely as possible to their normal routine. I also treat every client's home with the same care and respect I would my own. I'll keep your home clean and secure, lock doors and gates, and provide regular photo and message updates so you can relax knowing your pet (and home!) is happy and well cared for. About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was little, growing up with a sheltie dog from when I was born. I have taken care of friends, family and neighbor’s dogs and cats; taking them on walks, feeding them, playing with them and caring for them as if they were my own. Living the past 4 years with a roommates/friends who had an pitbull/husky mix and calico cat I helped out often with care and they became family to me as well. Two years ago I as well, had frequently the pleasure of getting to care for both dogs/cats through rover overnight as well as doing check in feedings. I’m currently working part time so I have the flexibility to play with your pets during the week days and all day on the weekends. I unfortunately don’t currently have the ability to board at my home. I always confirm with the client what the pets schedule may be, any health/behavioral concerns, likes/dislikes, emergency contacts & their local veterinary in case of emergency. Having open communication throughout the service, I feel as well helps so that everyone is on the same page in caring and maintaining the safety of their pet.

About: I’ve cared for animals for many years, primarily through owning and caring for my own pets, including dogs, cats and reptiles as well as many other small critters. I have experience with both senior dogs and cats. I am comfortable administering daily medications and providing the extra patience and attention they may need. I have also volunteered at my local animal shelter in the past, where I gained hands on experience working with animals of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. I understand that every pet is unique and my goal is to make each one feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. About: I have had dogs in my family for my entire life and have been around them for over 30 years. I have a cattle dog Bjorn, and grew up with those, and my cousin has 2 large breed mix dogs that I also love to spend time with. We have 2 cats in our house as well, an orange cat named Fritz and a siamese named Tut. I am currently working part time, and on summer break, so I have lots of time available to assist with feeding and walking dogs currently. I am an experienced walker and have no issues following special instructions to make sure your pup is safe and cared for the way they recognize.
