About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a teenager. I now have a rescue dog that is 111lbs, & at 6 years old still thinks he’s a puppy. So I can handle a lot of dog sizes, weights & personalities. Here for walks or check ins & feeding if you’re out of town or need help. Message me! 🐕🦮🐕🦺 I am available for afternoon and evening walks, check ins, feeding and play time. I am also available on weekends and Fridays after 12pm. Just let me know what works for you! I have a large dog at home that is a lot to handle so boarding in my home would be difficult. I am trustworthy and caring so you can trust your furry family member in my care.

About: Hi! My name is Éowyn, and I'm a Psychology student at the University of California, Irvine. I'm dependable, patient, and absolutely love spending time with animals. If there's a dog or cat at a gathering, you'll probably find me spending time with them! I've been helping care for pets since I was four years old (I am now almost 20). Growing up, I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from Chihuahuas to Huskies and German Shepherds. I also have extensive experience caring for cats and have helped care for 12 cats throughout my lifetime. My pet care experience includes dog walking, feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning up after pets, changing litter boxes, playtime, and making sure every animal receives the attention and affection they need. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one special. As a Student Manager in the UC Irvine Anteater Band and an Undergraduate Intern with the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, I've developed strong communication, organization, and responsibility skills. Pet owners can count on me to show up on time, follow instructions carefully, and provide dependable care for their pets. I'm an active person who enjoys walking, so whether your dog needs exercise, playtime, or simply companionship while you're away, I'd be happy to help! My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages during every visit because I know how reassuring it is to know your pet is happy and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I'm currently only working 16 hours a week, Monday-Thursday, 8am-12pm. Other than this time, I have plenty of time to take care of your furry baby! I'm also relatively free/open on Fridays and weekends. Whether it's morning walks, afternoon drop-in visits, evening playtime, or overnight house sitting, I'm committed to following your pet's routine as closely as possible. I also make it a priority to communicate promptly and keep you updated throughout each visit with photos and messages. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I understand that every pet has unique needs, so I always take the time to learn their routine, personality, dietary needs, and any special instructions before each visit. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed (unless instructed otherwise in a safe, enclosed area), stay aware of our surroundings, and prioritize their safety at all times. During drop-in visits and house sitting, I'll make sure your pets are fed, have fresh water, receive plenty of attention and exercise, and stick as closely as possible to their normal routine. I also treat every client's home with the same care and respect I would my own. I'll keep your home clean and secure, lock doors and gates, and provide regular photo and message updates so you can relax knowing your pet (and home!) is happy and well cared for. My goal is to build trust with both you and your pet by providing dependable, compassionate care every time.

About: I have had dogs in my family for my entire life and have been around them for over 30 years. I have a cattle dog Bjorn, and grew up with those, and my cousin has 2 large breed mix dogs that I also love to spend time with. We have 2 cats in our house as well, an orange cat named Fritz and a siamese named Tut. I am currently working part time, and on summer break, so I have lots of time available to assist with feeding and walking dogs currently. I am an experienced walker and have no issues following special instructions to make sure your pup is safe and cared for the way they recognize.
About: Hello! My name is Krystal. I bring a calm, attentive, and personalized approach to every pet I care for. I’ve taken care of many dogs throughout the years. Small dogs, medium dogs, and large dogs. I also had two dogs (one mixed doggy who was 15yrs old and our golden retriever who is now 2yrs old). I’ve come to know that all dogs have different personalities and will adapt to their needs. I love to cuddle them (if they let me) and give them all the pets. Beyond basic care, I focus on building trust. Not just with pets, but with their humans too. I keep you updated with photos, notes, and peace of mind. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member and looking forward to meeting you both! I currently work full time but I work from home W-F and off every other Monday. I have the flexibility to give your animals much needed attention throughout the day. I am able to come walk your dog during lunch or before/after work. I can also watch your pet from my home where I have a friendly dog and cat. If I were to watch your pet, I would ask for their feeding schedule and any medications I’m supposed to give them. A walk is always a must with my visit. Depending on your needs. If your dog was being watched in my home, they would be in safe hands and in an active home. We have a toddler who loves dogs and cats. And dog who would love the opportunity to play and cuddle. We also go on daily walks in the morning and evening.

“Natalie was incredibly kind and accommodating to our two cats and their unique personalities. I would absolutely love to continue working with her in the future!”

“Michelle did a great job looking after our two kitties. She was very attentive, followed directions, and had great communication. I could tell our girls were well taken care of and the house was left in great condition as well.”
“I can always count on Kaitlyn. Cat and dog love her. She recently responding on really short notice and baled me out when I needed to spend the day away from my critters.”

About: I have taken care of my aunts two dogs while on vacation for many years. I am currently responsible for her two dogs while she’s out of town multiple times a year. I also dog AND cat sit for my sister in law multiple times a year- she has 4 cats and a pit bull. I correctly work part time, and I am usually free after 3PM on weekdays. My weekends are open all day. I am happy to accept last minute requests as long as I’m available!! I do not currently plan on having pets in my own home, but I plan to follow the pet parents requests and rules as they know what’s best for their babies.
About: I grew-up and around animals of all kind my entire life, though mostly owned cats. However, in 2012, my husband and I adopted a pug and there began my journey and infatuation with pugs and pups of all kinds. We've always been the go-to for friends and family who needed sitters for their dogs of all breeds and ages. I've also worked with blind and visually impaired folks in a non profit setting for 5 years and have experience watching the dog guides/service dogs of friends for extended periods of time while they were "off duty" and have spent lots of time around them while they were on-duty, as well. I originally signed-up for Rover soon after our pug passed away because we weren't ready to adopt another fur-child and had so much love to give other pups out there. But, we ended up rescuing another pug about a year ago, so I went on a break from Rover to focus on our new girl, Hot Stuff. However, I decided to activate my account again as I'm in a bit of a career transition and am intentionally seeking activities, experiences that align with my values and passions, which includes caring for animals, and would love to spend as much time with fur babies as possible. They make the BEST company. Ultimately, I'm obsessed with all animals, and especially dogs. I think the world would be a much more harmonious place if everyone had a fur-baby in the family:) I currently don't have a personal pet to care for, or children at home and work remotely Monday-Friday, so can be somewhat flexible with my daily and weekly routine. All I can say, before out pup passed away, he was the center of our universe and our schedules/routines were based on him and his needs - his morning and evening spa treatments, making his food from scratch daily, taking him for multiple walks, cuddling and petting him throughout the day, inviting him to be on-camera during my work meetings. Because he was old, he also got regular walks in his special "puggy buggy" and we very rarely ever left him alone for more than an hour at a time. And I would care for anyone else's fur-child with the same concern and devotion. They are not just "pets" but family.
“Elizabeth did a great job taking care of my cat! My cat is kind of shy and she warmed up very quickly to Elizabeth. Photos for the visit and communication via texts were great too. 👍”

About: I’ve had/taken care of dogs since I could remember, I currently have two male dogs & two girl cats. I used to work at WAG Hotels, which is a hotel for pets. I’ve also volunteered at Bradshaw Animal Shelter before and that’s where I adopted my sweet boy Brent. I love playing fetch with my dogs as well as taking them on walks. I’ve had experience with puppies and senior dogs that require medication. I’m currently working full time at Costco. My shifts are 4am-1pm so I’m available after 1:30pm. I’m available on Sundays mornings and evenings. On Saturdays I can be available after 3pm. I live in a home with a big backyard which is fenced and the front yard is also fenced. I have a spare room that I use to keep my puppy while I’m away at work that can be used for a guest pet.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Sacramento
Jandy was extremely attentive to our cats while we were away and remembered little things about them that we had shared that seemed to make us being away easier on them! She did a lot more than just clean litters and feed them—the interaction was key to make us feel like our kitties were doing okay without us. She was patient with our cat who can be a cranky to others. 10/10 recommend!

Khaili was great! She was available on short notice and we appreciated the meet and greet. Our cats were kept happy and she did great sending updates, communicating, and following our care instructions. I would highly recommend her and will be booking her to sit our kitties again!

Delaney has been our go to pet sitter for a while now. She is always very responsive in all messaging and takes great photos and notes with updates on how our kitties are doing while she is there. Definitely puts my family at ease knowing that they are so well cared for when we are away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Sacramento. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
