About: Greetings! I grew up in a home that could only be described as “animal-enthusiast central”—dogs, cats, the occasional parakeet, even a mouse or two. Caring for animals has quite literally been a lifelong habit, not just a job. About: I’ve loved cats and dogs and I’ve been around them my whole life. I’ve raised and trained three dogs, including one who is a certified pet therapy dog. I also worked for a year as a cat handler at a cat cafe, taking care of over a dozen cats including kittens as young as four months old. I’m good with people but even better with pets! About: I have cared for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments. My mother is a dog trainer so I have been around all types of dogs for a good chunk of my life. I am currently 33 years old and am the proud owner of 4 fur babies. I have a 70 pound Border Collie/Great Dane mix that is almost 8 years old, a three legged Catahoula mix that is 7 as well as two cats that are 10 years old. I am a stay at home mom, whose kids go to preschool Monday, Wednesday, Friday for half the day. My kids also have very involved grandparents who are more than willing to take them on weekends if you need a drop in or walk during those times. Day care or boarding in my home: ~The spare bedroom is a Pet Air BnB! Enough room for pets to play together throughout the home or take their own space in a room. ~A crate/kennel with padding/bed is required, for everyone's safety and comfort. ~There are multiple clean beds for all the fur babies. That said, a boarding pet is most comfortable when they have their own bed or blanket brought with them, which must be flea/pest-free and clean. ~A collar with tags and leash are required. Harnesses are also recommended. ~Due to landlord restrictions, I can't accept pets in my home over 35 lbs or certain "dangerous" breeds (insurance rules, unfortunately). ~I use only non-toxic, natural, and eco-friendly cleaners and pest repellents for the safety of your pets and the environment. Everywhere: ~I stay alert to your pets' social cues, respecting their boundaries and addressing their needs. I provide stimulating opportunities to explore and burn off energy in a safe and respectful manner.

Well, I can't say Moose & Squirrel LOVED Avina, they're cats and therefore a little bit weird. I could tell from her photos, though they were realizing Not Me (aka Avina) was giving them canned cat food every day and not scary Stranger Danger. I came home to 2 happy and healthy kitties 😸 😸 and that is the goal! Avina also brought in mail and packages for me, much appreciated!
Kristin is fabulous. My cats loved her. Without my asking she cleaned the litter off the floor and even watered the plants in my front that are not on sprinklers.
