About: I have volunteer experience at an animal shelter, so I have experience working with and caring for dogs, cats, and even rabbits! I have also taken a couple dog handling classes through the shelter. I have owned dogs all my life and have trained a few of them as youngsters in basic commands (sit, stay, come, down, etc). I am also a horse girl and thus have pretty impressive upper arm strength for my size, so I can handle your large dog that pulls on walks. I am transitioning from a part time job to full time pet care with Rover so I have full flexibility and am able to zip over and give your pet some TLC whenever I'm needed. I have a dog of my own so I also understand and can provide what a pet needs in a typical day. In my house, pets are treated like family. From the moment I enter your home or meet your pet, it becomes part of my family too and I will care for it as such. I believe compassion, patience, and a good sense of humor are essential to good pet care regardless of whether you're inside or outside the home. An environment of fun, love, and trust will be created when I care for your pet and I'm sure a great bond will form whether I meet that pet one time or 30 times.

About: I have been an avid animal lover since the day I was born. I have always had dogs around and have been consistently relied upon by friends and family to help take care of theirs (much to my delight!). I have experience with cats, dogs, and more! I have cats currently, however, I have had dogs (from small to large !). I even worked at Petco and helped take care of the animals there !I took care of my golden retriever through some illnesses and have comfortability with medication as well. All that to say- I would love to get all the animal time in and be there to help take care of your extra family members :) I work remotely so if you need someone there for your buddy for long periods- I got you! I start work at 3pm so I can dedicate some extra quality time with them before that ! I want your and your pets to feel the upmost comfort and care with our time together - whether that’s through text updates, sending you photos or just setting clear goals for your pets during our time together !

About: I have taken care of a plethora of different animals for my family members, neighbors and friends. I have watched dogs for hours or weeks at a time. I am especially good with active animals that need attention. I am currently working part- time at a coffee shop so my morning start bright and early at 4am. I am normally home by 12 at the latest and am able to come home on my lunch break to take your pets out. After 12, I am completely free to take your pets on walks or just snuggle up to them on the couch. I am very comfortable around animals and can adapt to what they need. While I do not have a fenced yard, I live in a beautiful neighborhood that is more than friendly for walks. I also love to play with animals and give them attention, but know that they need their personal time as well. Whatever your animals needs, I can do!

About: Bare minimum care for animals is not accepted in my house. I only offer the absolute best I can give for every furry friend. I've owned and cared for almost every category of critter you can come up with (Birds, reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, cats, dogs, etc.!) Almost all my passions revolve around animals and always have, I spend most of my time helping people with their own pets when I'm not caring for mine. I also am starting out in dog training and have two years experience with a few types of canine training. My own dog is an exceptionally trained GSD that's helped this journey. Along with that, I have been helping with rehabilitating and releasing wild animals in need for almost three years. I am very passionate about rescues and almost all my animals are rescued by either shelters, brought to me, or found by me. While there are advantages to not having animals (being able to leave home without the worry), I miss them and thought this might be a way to fill the pet void. About: Our three rescues recently traveled to the rainbow bridge after 13 years in our home. We are not ready to fill our home permanently, but are emotionally available to love on your babies while you’re gone. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. I have many years of pet sitting and house sitting including dogs, cats, fish, and bunnies. I know firsthand how expensive pet boarding is, not to mention stressful, so I am here to make traveling and being away easier. We have a one story home with a large fenced in yard for safe exploring and sun bathing. Our home is currently pet free, so your pets would have full control of the place!

About: I’ve spent most of my life caring for dogs and have personally trained five dogs with different personalities, needs, and learning styles. Over the years, dogs have been much more than pets to me, they have been members of my family. That experience has given me a deep appreciation for how differently every dog communicates, learns, plays, relaxes, and builds trust. I pay close attention to the small signals dogs use to communicate how they’re feeling, whether they are excited, nervous, overstimulated, curious, playful, or simply in need of some quiet time. While I am not a certified dog trainer, I have substantial hands on experience with training, positive reinforcement, routines, boundaries, mental stimulation, and everyday dog care. My current dog, Charlie Girl, is a 2 year old Boxer/Hound mix with an incredibly happy and social personality. I have a comfortable home with a fully fenced yard where dogs have room to play, explore, enjoy supervised outdoor time, or simply relax. I take a calm, patient, and structured approach to caring for dogs. I believe dogs thrive with a healthy balance of affection, freedom, exercise, positive reinforcement, and clear rules and boundaries. Structure should help a dog feel secure and understand what is expected of them without taking away their opportunity to be a dog. Understanding canine behavior and body language is especially important to me. I pay attention to the smaller signals dogs use to communicate whether they are excited, uncertain, overstimulated, uncomfortable, ready to play, or simply in need of some quiet time. Every dog has its own personality, history, routine, and comfort level, and I believe good care starts with respecting those differences. Charlie Girl is a happy, social dog who genuinely enjoys connecting and playing with other dogs. Even so, I never assume that two dogs will immediately be comfortable together. Introductions and interactions are handled thoughtfully and supervised, with each dog's behavior and comfort level determining how quickly they progress. I also make it a priority to follow the routines and expectations established by each dog's family, including feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, walking routines, training cues, boundaries, and other care instructions. Consistency can make being away from home much easier for a dog. Most importantly, I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's dog seriously. These animals are members of their families, just as the dogs throughout my life have been members of mine. I want owners to leave knowing their dog is being watched closely, treated with patience and respect, given meaningful attention and enrichment, and welcomed into a home where their safety and well being come first. Regular photos, videos, and checkins are part of that commitment so you never have to wonder how your dog is doing.
