About: Hiya! I’ve had pets around me for my whole life. My growing up dogs, Moose and Baja, were both black labs that were like my lil brothers (only child here). I took care of them daily and helped teach them commands. I eventually got a frenchie, Adobo, that I got as a puppy. I trained him on everything from being house and crate trained to doing a few tricks. I love going to the dog park with him and letting him socialize. I am currently working part time freelance so I am very flexible with my schedule currently. I am available at almost any time during the week. I am a very neat and tidy person with my pet at home, he has a fenced in backyard and spaces inside for play and or relaxing. When giving care to friends pets I am very respectful of their specific wishes, play times/activities, or routines, as a few examples.

About: Hello everyone! I have been an animal lover ever since I got my first fur-baby, a cat named Flower, when I was 3 years old! I have been caring for animals professionally since 2010. My most valuable experience in caring for animals has been raising my now 11 year old Boxer/Aussie, Stella. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She has been my greatest teacher in predicting and providing for the needs of our four-legged family members. I know how hard it can be to find the right person to love and care for your precious pets. I invite you to take a deep breath and trust your instincts! I have experience in working with and training puppies and loving and caring for seniors and all ages in between. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you! I currently have a flexible schedule. I am reserving an array of hours for availability. I am available durning regular business hours as well as nights and weekends too! I am most comfortable offering care in the clients home. I do have space in my home and have a safe fenced in backyard for special arrangements.

Chynna G.
About: I’ve lived with and taken care of animals for almost my entire life. I’ve been with pets as young as 6 weeks old and as old as 18 years old. I have an open availability for whenever I am needed for drop-in pet sittings and walks! If you need ongoing, long-term services I am available for that as well. I have two little dogs of my own and a baby, so unfortunately I cannot have any pets stay with me during the day or overnight at the moment.

Mala R.
“I highly recommend MJ to watch your pet(s). She is great! She has watched our cat several times with us being away as much as 4 days. She is really good about keeping us updated every day about how our cat was doing as she would visit several times a day to feed our cat and clean the litter box. She also would spend time playing with our cat each day. She made us feel very comfortable knowing that our cat was being watched by her.”

Doh H.
“Our Golden Murphy loves it when Doh comes to play. She spends quality time with him, makes sure he gets to play his favorite game of ball. On hot days she'll play games with the water. She makes sure he has fresh water and he eats his mid-day snack, she even washes his bowl when he's done. He knows her name and gets excited. Doh is very trust-worthy and would recommend her services to anyone who is looking for a dog walker and/or play friend. She's also very flexible.”

Courtney O.
“Courtney is great with pets. I leave for business trips frequently for long durations of time and Courtney is usually the one who takes care of my dog or my other pets. She treats him the best and he absolutely adores her. She’s very responsible, and sends me photos and updates all the time as well.”

Laura M.

“I cannot give Laura a higher or better review than phenomenal!! Out of this world next level communication, care, love for our dog Scout, professional level photographs of every day’s walks, amazing attention to all details and just overall trustworthiness! She is the gold standard of pet sitter/dog walker and we will never look elsewhere ever again. Completely 100% ultra-satisfied!! Thank you Laura and River!!”

Mollie P.
“Any pup would be lucky to spend some time with Mollie. While I was on a ten day vacation, she cared for my sweet old pitbull and yellow lab. She is extremely reliable, responsive, and compassionate. You would be hard pressed find a more loving temporary home for your doggie than with Mollie!”

Terisa B.

“Terisa and her husband are a great team. Roman enjoys the quality time they spend together. He gets so excited when Terisa picks him up...he know he’s going to have a great time!”

Silvia A.
“Silvia is amazing with all pets! Her tender heart and kindness to our pets makes her a wonderful pet giver. I promise you won’t be disappointed with the Silvia provides. She is truly an animal lover.”

“Vanessa has been great. On time, very pleasant, and my Kenji loves his walks with her. She knows our routine and is very good with my other dog who is quite barky! She doesn't get to go for a walk and let us know she's not happy. But the walk is Kenji's time!”

Karilynn C.
About: Hi there! My name is Karilynn, delighted to meet you! I'm here to lend a helping paw to your furry family member. While I'm new to Rover, my passion for pet care goes way back. Growing up with pets, and now caring for my sweet tuxedo cat, Sugar, I've gathered about 2 years of owning, fostering and caring for pets as an adult, including several months of long-term foster care for a dog and car from a local shelter and have house sat for friends' dogs on and off for several years (photos of some of the cuties are below!). Whether your pet is dealing with chronic illnesses that require medication, are anxious or have specific phobias, are slow to warm up, or will attach themselves to you 24/7, I'm confident that the experience I've gained has given me the ability to meet your pet where they are at, respecting their unique needs and characteristics. I look forward to giving your beloved family member a safe, warm, loving and fun time! If you're liking what you read, drop me a message-I'd love to connect! My schedule is very flexible due to being in the beginning stages of starting my own remote business. My availability includes weekends and most holidays! Maintaining open communication with you, the pet owner, is imperative. There's no such thing as too much information about your pet. The more details I have, the better I can care for them, ensuring they feel happy, loved, and most importantly, safe. I allow the pet to call the shots on things like physical affection by reading their body language. My aim is to do my best to understand what they are trying to communicate with me so that I can respect them as living beings with their own feelings, needs and boundaries.

Donna S.
About: In 2017, I lost my dog love, a little Pomeranian named Goldie at 18 years old. Before that, it was Gracie, 17 years old when she passed away. I have a heart for older dogs and love to make them feel better with joint support (diatomaceous earth, a natural supplement) and massages. They love it. Goldie and Gracie were mascots at the magazine where I worked and loved every minute of it. They came with me to work every day! Some dogs are meant for PR work, greeting new people! I'm a retired chiropractor with a few degrees in nutrition and a master's in herbs and now have an Australian Shepherd that was rescued from a life at a puppy mill where she churned out puppies and never was allowed inside the home. When I brought her home, she was scared to death of going outside, fearing she would not be allowed in. She longed so much for being a true companion. Well, i've had her for 6 years now and unfortunately we have just found a breast tumor forming. Luckily, there are many natural healing things that can help this situation but observing her, she really needs other friendly dogs around so she doesn't focus on what's happening. That's why I hope you will book with me especially now during her time of need for social support. Teaching dogs tricks and just being with them really makes life great! They love to learn. In the past, I created my own homemade food recipe for dogs over the years as well, and worked with them naturally, even in cases where vets wanted to do extreme things such as remove a front leg from my dog Ginger who was born with congenital disc disease. This would have caused her to have perpetual back pain for the rest of her life. She also recovered fully from spinal paralysis (another time). I'll be starting the homemade food diet for Jenny today as well. I've found that the dogs that visit all have one thing in common - they love Costco beef ribs (except ones that don't have teeth or are allergic). And it's funny but they have to be coaxed to leave when it's time to go home. An example is my friend's dog Asher, about 2 years old now. He was only here one night but that rib connected with his primal dog brain. When I called my friend the other night, she had the phone on speaker and I asked her to wait while I called another dog. She said Asher heard me calling the other dog, his ears perked up, and he came running to the phone, happy. She laughed hysterically about this! So if you don't want your dog to have a primal experience, please let me know. These ribs are a bit pricey so a donation would help. I have a large back yard and a 100-year-old tree in the back yard with plenty of shade. Because of my health background, I'm helpful with pets recovering from surgery. I am not a veterinarian and do not diagnose or treat pets. But the care I give has helped one dog who could barely walk jump up the stair on the front doorstep after three days, and have substantial strength in one week. And some Welsh corgis in the past who were obese started to get in shape at my house. Unfortunately they needed more time but they started feeling better. The grass has been a big problem in the back yard because of the large tree giving too much shade. So it gets muddy after rains. While writing a cookbook on diatomaceous earth in 2016, I ended up with 7-1/2 dozen dog biscuits that were distributed to all the dogs in the neighborhood and they loved them. There's a park down the street and love to take dogs for car rides. Hope to meet your dog soon! Sometimes I'll take them down to American River Park. Typical things the pets will do - go for car rides, walks, and wait for me to make dinner from scratch in the kitchen. Not many restrictions here... would love to meet your dog. However, I don't usually take dogs with separation anxiety, although I'd love to have a consultation with you because there is a solution. And I do negotiate rates for good dogs. Pet care is what I do and I do it well. I am also a freelance writer and love having dogs around to do things with. I care for pets in my home and outside my home as if they are my family. I take them for car rides, walks, sometimes cook for them, talk to them, play with them, sometimes I take them to the river, pray for them, do their laundry, and encourage them. Sometimes they have emotional issues so I counsel them. They seem to understand. I teach them new things and have a tunnel they can run through in my backyard.
